  1. Nothing personal taken. I would recommend deleting the post regarding a shotgun wedding, though. That's best all around... BTW- I use the chicory root/inulin product FiberSure, not the Metamucil psyllium-based concoction.
  2. How is that oil-stained driveway fix I gave you, holding up?
  3. Did it slam GM, but not Honda, for doing exactly the same thing - taking back of their test fleets?
  4. How do you know that? If it is so, I applaud the both of them for starting their family in the best interest of their child. Jeeze...
  5. He's fortunate that the clearcoat wasn't blistered and turned cloudy. Everything today is basecoat/clearcoat, even solid shades. The outer clearcoat is particularly susceptible to humidity damage - pigments play a substantial part in damage resistance - and by definition, clearcoats have none. The unshared pair of electrons of the oxygen atom in free H20 is very reactive. OTOH, the clearcoat has its' own superior characteristics, compared to the older 1-coat (typically alkyd melamine resins) automotive paint. We no longer worry about "chalking", and waxing is nowhere as important as in years past. Black is problematical, for reasons known to paint formulators and during the manufacturing processes. Red shades, too, ever since lead pigmentation was tossed into the scrap heap. I'm no longer up to speed on the current state, though, so take my words about those with a grain of salt...
  6. Fuel cells technology aimed at producing Hydrogen is very complicated. One of the many, many hurdles is condensation within the membranes, and subsequent freezing. I applaud Honda for fielding a tiny fleet of hydrogen cell cars - like GM's EV-1 (and Honda's all-electric test mules that were on the road at the same time), they are controlled by the factory and not for purchase. It's no coincidence that this Honda effort sites the vehicles in a warm climate like California. GM got lambasted in a Michael Moore-type movie (Who Killed the Electric Car?). They spent about a billion on the EV-1 project, got good info about the feasibility of all-electric passenger vehicles, as did Honda. I didn't see the flick - did it rail against Honda for doing exactly what GM did?
  7. Be sure to move'em around from time to time. You can suffer subtle, but noticable fading under certain light conditions. The real paint finish damage occurs because of trapped, condensing humidity. Exposure to condensing humidity is one of the accelerated weathering tests utilized in the coatings biz: QCT Condensation Tester: http://www.q-lab.com/QCT.html
  8. Well, it certainly would spice things up here...
  9. "One Name to rule them all, One Name to find them, One Name to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."
  10. And be sure to bring in the bits and pieces and plop all in a plastic bag - freezer bag or some such....charger, instruction manual if you have it, etc.
  11. I believe so. EDIT: I looked at my copy. It's date is 1933.
  12. Here is the text that I got beaten with when a child: http://books.google.com/books?id=DKYCAAAAY...;q=&f=false
  13. Good post. The turn-in programs have been ongoing for years, this is a good reminder. I'd add about donating eyeglasses. The current giant in the industry - Lens Crafters - has taken frames and lenses for years, for use by folks all over the globe. There are local outfits in our cities that you can donate too, also.
  14. I've been keeping you on the straight path for years. Not that you have ever thanked me...
  15. You are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Football is a 4 act play that's been running for a hundred years. It is populated by humans, with human decisions good or bad. There is nothing new to be said, or discovered. Untold thousands before you have applied every and all statistical treatments. It is a game played by humans of varying talent, some that occasionally do things that their history says they shouldn't be able do, with varying health, with plays directed by humans of varying predictive skill, in varying weather, on varying surfaces, with varying levels of noise and distraction. Add in an oviod ball with unpredictable, bounces, caroms, etc. You can lose a game with the toss of a coin in OT, or a bonehead call on a game-starting toss by picking possession over the prevailing winds. You can lose a game because a jerk on the sidelines mouths off. It's the general chaos of the sport that makes the game worth watching. Stats tell things, but plain and simple chance often finds its' way.
  16. Be sure to PM the OP about the game.
  17. Yep. I see a Kenny Watson ethic in him - complete back who gets the picture, seems to keep an eye on his QB and is there to help him out. You get AFC North games where you live, so you know Watson and know this is high praise. It will be interesting to see if they try to give Lynch a game 4 start. If Freddie has a decent outing this Sunday - pfft - Lynch sits IMO.
  18. Are you a civil service worker? Just asking....
  19. Er - I'm a T-W customer in Cincinnati. If I made a long-distance call to your local T-W outlet (surely they have the means to see where I am calling from), they might sniff a "campaign" going on. Right, buddy? Peace - no offense intended.
  20. The bulk of Americans that peel off their greenies for cable or satellite don't give a Flying F about NFL football, let alone the Bills. You may as well go and yell at them because they won't show B'gals games.
  21. I agree. My guess it was set up by some young minimum-wage part-time employee who thought it clever - they are the bulk of employees hired by an amusement park, and young folks aren't dripping with wordly experience and discretion in their actions. That's just being a kid.
  22. "All Americans deserve heath care insurance coverage paid for by other Americans."
  23. Pencil in Teleprompter Obama as one of the Munchkin Lollipop Guild members, while you're at it. You will be a sad puppy indeed, when 95% of your disposable income gets lifted out of your pocket to support the coming Worker's Paradise, comrade. Be sure to keep your legs in good shape - you will be spending a long time lining up for commodities.
