There is definitely a TV market for spring football. I don't understand why someone hasn't pulled it off. Actually, I think Vince McMahon was on his way with the XFL but COVID blew that up.
Maybe this one was mentioned already. For me it was the final drive in the Arizona game, the TD to Diggs. Should have been the game winner. Just showed that as long as there's time left, the Bills will beat you.
I'm sure some do but most are bought by fans. But it really helps affording them if you can spin a few games off. And no, you can't make sure they only get sold to Bills fans.
They play Thursday night, Friday night and 2 on Saturdays. All the games are on FS1 except one Saturday afternoon game on Fox. All the games are played at Rice University stadium in Houston.
I think players actually have to pay a fee to join. It's meant to be a league of last resort for players who think they can still catch on in the NFL or CFL. A few players do get the call.
That's why it was funny to hear Ryan Mallett"s name. Most players give it a year before joining the real world. But players also get hurt badly as one did Saturday. Joined the team that day and tore his knee up.
He's on FS1 right now playing in The Spring League for The Generals. 32-years old and still plugging away in a league for last-chancers. Annnd he just threw a pick
