So it was Drew's fault the defense surrendered a TD instead of say a FG? Okay, whatever. I guess I'll take 2 TD's, no INT's, no lot fumbles, and no sacks, in 30 MPH no less and against the #1 turnover-forcing team, thankyouverymuch. Looks like Drew's anger finally got to the team and woke them the fug up.
The game was still pretty close in the 2nd quarter. When your QB gives up field position because he can't hang onto the ball, then yes it is his fault! In the end, we pulled away in the 4th quarter, but games are lost on stupid-assed mistakes like that one. I don't know why you can't see that?

I have to chuckle at posts calling DB's performance "mistake-free!" Anyone remember the fumble in the 2nd quarter? The one that squirted out of Drew's hands, and rolled about 20 yards back to our goal line? But does recovering a fumble like that make Drew "mistake-free?" Just wondering.

How would you rate that fumble where the ball squirted out of Drew's hands and we lost about 20 yards? Arizona scored a TD after we had to punt from our end zone, but we recovered the fumble so DB did nothing wrong, right?

In a perfect world I would not want to rush JP either, although seeing Big Ben take apart the Pats reminds us that there are rookies who can get the job done.
We are at a point in the season where 8-8 or 9-7 is still within reach. The big question is which QB can get us there? Every other facet of the Bills game has improved this year, even the O-line. The only exception is QB! Drew's play has dropped, in my opinion.
Since no one is willing to try Shane Matthews for a few games, I say we give JP a start, but ONLY if his leg is healed. I recall the post made about JP at the Incubus show, and how his leg looked like it was still bothering him. We waited for Willis, we can wait for LP.
But I will say that with DB at QB, we won't do better than 4-12.

This is the rest of our schedule:
11/7 - New York Jets
11/14 - @ New England
11/21 - St. Louis
11/28 - @ Seattle
12/5 - @ Miami
12/12 - Cleveland
12/19 - @ Cincinnati
12/26 - @ San Francisco
1/2 - Pittsburgh
I can see us winning all but 3 (NE, Pitt, Seattle...and we could steal the SEA game) But ONLY if we pick up the play at QB.
Even at 2-5, I think the Bills have shown steady improvement in many areas. Special teams, running back, overall defense, even the O-line. The only position that has not stepped up is QB.
I know there a folks giving out game balls for going 8 of 17, but that is not going to cut it the rest of the way. Since everyone is so keen on the Bills winning as a team, then I think every player needs to pick up their play. If you can't, then you owe it to the team to step aside.
Willis McGahee stepped it up. I think Tim Euhus is steeping up. How 'bout you, Drew?

Back on the day of the NH Primary, I met Russert at an Imus live road show. I asked him if he knew about TBD and the Stadium Wall, and he did not. I hope one of you guys brought up this website, just in case he forgot.

Incorrect. Drew had several boners. It's just that the Cards could not capitalize on them. DB had no INT's but he hit an AZ back in the numbers deep in our end. Luckily the guy dropped the INT. In the 1st Q he threw into double coverage to Moulds, when 10 yards beyond was a WIDE OPEN Mark Campbell in the end zone. Oh and don't forget the fumble that cost us about 20 yards! Mistake-free??? That's a laugh!
Drew did not suck like a Hoover like he did against the Ravens, but I'm not giving him a game ball like NJ Sue just for not losing the game for us. For crying out loud! Are our expectations that low now? I guarentee if Shane Matthews went 8 for 17=81 yards, no one would be praising him!
Also, I am not content with beating the AZ Cardinals. Sorry. It was a good win, but this team has to play better to climb back into any kind of contention. At 2-5, it's unlikely, but not impossible to make a run. Our schedule is not that tough. 9-7 is within reach, but only if we get better at QB.
So far this season, we have seen improvement by our defense, special teams, and running attack. The only position we have not improved is at QB. Sorry, I was done giving Drew a free pass every week long ago.

Said one of the guys will be moved (already known by fans) and it looks to be Travis and that he should fetch a First Rounder. Not sure if I agree but the guy was a decent evaluator of talent but then again, if I had the amount of picks he had I could have re-built that team as well.

It's possible. It kind of depends on who your talking to. If the Bills look desperate to unload Henry, we'll get jack. If we find a team like the Dolphins (not suggesting a trade to Miami, I mean "like" the Dolphins) who are desperate for an RB, we could do it. I do think TD is a decent poker player and will be able to get decent value if, and it's still a big IF, we trade TH.
I know everyone here feels that having TH and WM is not feasable, but really there is no law (other than the salary cap) that says we can't keep both players. Players can complain all they want but the coaches call the shots. There is nothing wrong with a little depth at RB.

I'll take you up on this...I'll list the good and the bad. Ready?
GOOD:
Two nice TD passes.
Actually made some nice moves to avoid the rush
BAD:
The fumble..nearly gave away 7pts.
Threw a pass right to an AZ player who dropped a sure INT.
NEUTRAL:
Wind was so bad, that accuracy can't be blamed. But there were a few poor passes.
Was this DB's worst game. No. But the Bills have been reduced to playing NOT TO LOSE with DB at QB. There is no threat from our passing game anymore. Which makes McGahee's performance that much more impressive, because there was no mystery WHO was getting the ball almost every play.
PTR
Oh, I remembered one more negative...DB threw to Moulds in double coverage on the first drive. The problem was Mark Campbell was wide open in the end zone 10 yards behind Moulds but Drew didn't see him.

When you have jack for a passing game, it makes it that much harder to generate a running attack. So props to Willis for a good game when EVERYONE knew he was getting the rock.

I wonder if he will continue to get some reps at LG. I am happy that the coaches are at least trying new things. He may not be the long term answer, but with more experience you never know. In another post I said it is going to be very difficult to upgrade this line so I am all for trying out some experiments here ande there.
How about Sam Adams on the goaline for the last TD? Movin' some meat!

I predicted someone would say this. Didn't rezlie it would happen that soon!

I like how "almost" interceptions now count against Bledsoe, as do passes that are dropped by his receivers and intercepted by the defense. It seems nobody is willing to look at ANY of the positives, including his rollout and throwing a strike to Eules for a first (on 3rd down), his fade to Moulds, his other pass to Moulds to setup the last TD, etc. But be quick to point out that he *almost* threw an interception! Just like everyone was quick to point out that the first pass of the game was high and off target. We'll just ignore all positives though.
BTW - you forgot the 2 TDs in his stat line. Was almost 3, but Moulds couldn't quite tiptoe the sideilnes enough. You also forgot the 0 sacks and the multiple times he threw the ball away to avoid pressure. But that's ok.
That said, Clements and McGee get game balls for sure. McGahee does as well, and I'm giving one to Drew for having to put up with all the fan/media BS. I'm sick of it, and I'm not even the QB.

Fez, I got all the sugar you need to coat Drew's performance. I just call 'em as I see 'em. We've been down so long, we have to look up to see the ground!

If we put a hurt like this on a good team, like the Jets or Pats, I'd get excited too. We beat another really bad team today. A win is a win, but this team has to aim higher if we ever expect to get out of the cellar.

Now if we could only convince the NFL to schedule the AZ Cardinals for the rest of the season, we are playoff bound!

This is how far our expectations have fallen. 8-17/81yds and you give a guy a game ball for not screwing up? (p.s. this only true because AZ dropped an INT deep in our end, and missed recovering a DB fumble opn our 5)

If we win, it will be 13-10, and the touchdown will be scored by the defense.

AZ was pretty bad too. In fact Josh McClown may actually be worse that Drew Bledsoe.
