Do you wonder if the league is fixed?
PromoTheRobot replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just remember we live in a time where what's true is getting harder to know, and that's by design. No area is exempt. -
Maybe it's because there's an entire TV commercial campaign based on that notion.

If the NFL is scripted, the Bills win the Super Bowl this year or next because Jerry Jones' marketing company Legends has to sell all those PSLs in Buffalo.

They might be Josh Allen fans. Our guy is on many commercials now and he's got a winning smile and a hot movie star girlfriend. -

Bills one of the more popular teams in all sports (from the Buffalo News) The stadium’s unfavorable rankings have not diminished the popularity of the team that plays inside it. A pair of studies have shown the Bills are one of the most popular franchises in all professional sports. The Bills are the third most popular sports franchise in America, with an average monthly search volume of 3,842,750, according to research from iGaming reviewer Lucky Gambler, which analyzed search volume data from Google Keyword Planner in this calendar year. The Bills were the most searched team in New York, amassing 1.14 million of their average monthly searches in the state alone. The Bills are also the second most popular team in the NFL for 2023. With an average monthly search volume of 7.2 million, the Cowboys are the most popular sports team in America this calendar year. In addition, the study also found that football is the most popular sport in the country, having amassed an average monthly search volume of 57.5 million – that’s more than 21 million higher than the next most popular sport, baseball. Also, the Bills were ranked fifth for the sports franchise with the most searched branding, with an average of 21,360 combined monthly searches, according to web design company Digital Silk, which analyzed search data for more than 200 of the world’s largest brands by combining each name with the terms "logo," "brand" and "branding." The study revealed that the Cowboys have the most searched branding for a sports team in America, with an average of 30,426 monthly searches. -

Wasn't part of the reason Orchard Park's allergy to development? When there was talk of bringing the stadium back the city, I recall seeing quotes from OP town leaders about being totally gung-ho for development now. -
The Bills D is ascending at the right time.

Staying power is important. Peak Suh, yes. I don't trust him to bring it now. Is he more interested in a ring or a paycheck? -

I don't see why it can't. People want to see is way more than that. -
I think CJ meant to say "Performed admirably." Amicably is not the word that fits there.

Sorry I missed that point. I think the fact they are staying in OP means some portion of tailgating will remain. But they definitely want a portion of fans to "tailgate" inside where the new stadium will likely have some eateries and lounges. They might even build something akin to Patriot Place but on a smaller scale. -

You say it like it's a bad thing. My days of hard tailgating in the elements are past. I wonder if they haven't yet finalized ticket and PSL pricing? The worst thing that could happen is a lot of unsold seats because they got greedy. -

You said it. Tailgating would be like an Arctic expedition in December and January. -
The first pet my wife and I had was Angus, a Scottie mix. He was literally born under the transmitter of the FM station I worked at in Lubbock in the early 80s. Best dog we ever had. My in-laws had a place on the water and Angus would find a stick, a branch, eventually logs, walk out on the pier, nose the piece of wood into the water, dive in to retrieve it, then climb up a ladder to do it again. Over and over for hours. Great dog. Here are my current two, Rosie and Chimi Taken while I'm watching the Bills or Sabres. "We see you have snacks. We like snacks."

It's not like the stadium opens next month. They have time. All that happened is a missed (self-imposed) deadline. But yes, it's weird. -

Struggling, but not ineffectual. Did Josh not hit key throws in the 2nd half, including on the final drive? -

Both sides of the ball are important. I feel pretty good about it defense going into (hopefully) the playoffs. If you keep your opponent's scoring down, Josh & Co. don't have to light up the scoreboard to win. -

Let's flip the conversation. The Bills are no longer a pass-only offense. Teams have to worry about defending the run too. Is that why we drafted a TE and an OG in the first two rounds? -
USFL-XFL merge; become UFL w/USFL and XFL divisions

Probably because these teams do relatively well there. -

The Michigan Panthers existed before there was a Carolina Panthers. All the team names the USFL used (until now) were the original team names from 1983-1985 USFL. -

So this is interesting. The franchise in Houston will be "USFL" but will drop the Gamblers name in favor of the XFL Roughnecks brand. Good news for me. Now I don't have to throw away my Roughnecks t-shirt. 😊
