  1. That's exactly what I've been doing. You must not have noticed because you've been too busy thinking up clever ways to insult my intelligence level. I'll be waiting for that apology. I thought productivity was measured by how productive someone or something is.
  2. If you ever find yourself annoyed at you OC for calling a pass on 3rd and very short, just be thankful that there's a back in the backfield. Last Thursday, Charlie Weis called for an empty backfield set THREE times on 3rd and 2. Why he decided to make the Colts' job way easier by completely taking away the threat of a run is beyond me, but he did it.
  3. Wow. First off, that's an article by Vic Carucci about Tommy Maddox. Hardly a league official declaring that passing yards should be the only judge of a QB's productivity. Second, productivity is mentioned only once in the article, and it's in reference to both yardage AND TD passes. Third, use common sense. There many stats that can be used to measure a QB's productivity, and yardage is among the least important. Winning percentage, completion percentage, TD/INT ratio, etc. are all better indicators of how effective a QB is. Understand yet? Or should I type more slowly?
  4. I can "comprehend" the existence of yardage totals, thank you very much. But again, when you can find the list of the most productive QBs of all time, please post it.
  5. Are TD passes really so rare in Buffalo that you no longer recognize the resulting celebration between QB and WR? I had no idea things had gotten so bad!
  6. I think you accidentally posted the wrong link there. That one takes me to a list of the QBs with the most passing yards of all time. I see no mention of productivity. Post again if you can find a link to the most productive QBs of all time.
  7. EXACTLY. Yes, the Pats would be worse off and would lose a lot more close games if Lindell was their kicker, but that's just because Vinatieri is one of the best clutch kickers in the game (although he was mediocre all last year, particularly in the SB). Along the same line, the Pats would lose a lot more close games if Bledsoe is their QB, but that's only because Brady is the best clutch QB in the game.
  8. I picked other. How in the world is Chris Berman not on the list? He might be the most annoying person ever born, let alone on ESPN.
  9. No wonder you never get my jokes. Your sarcasm detector is damaged beyond repair.
  10. Nope, I think so too. the fact that he's considered an elite QB anymore is a joke. Great career, no doubt HOFer, but that's long gone. The media has their darlings (Favre, Manning, Mcnabb, Vick), and no amount of choking or sucking will make them see the light.
  11. What does this have to do with Brady? Because he's never had 8-10 seconds to throw, ever. Few QBs ever have that much time in non-prevent situations.
  12. Brady already has experience playing on a crappy team. His current team was 7-19 in its last 26 before he stepped in.
  13. This a good point. The offense was definitely dink and dunk in '01 and '02, but that changed in '03, but not a lot of people caught on (mainly because the idiotic NFL media was too stupid to see the difference). Those of us who regularly watched the games saw that the Pats' favorite pass play went from the 5-10 yard crossing route to the 15-25 yard in.
  14. I know you're an anonymous guest, so you have no real reason to ever even admit that you made this ridculous statement, but if it's not too much trouble, would you mind going through a tape of last night's game with a stopwatch and making note of all the plays on which Brady had eight seconds throw? Thanks. For extra credit, you could also take not of how many times Brady had to evade a defender to avoid a sack.
  15. A Bills fan who gets it?! I'm shocked. On nearly ever passing play last night, Brady moved around to avoid pressure. Whether it was a rollout, a sidestep, or just steppinginto a delayed blitz with full knowledge that he would get creamed after he threw the ball, Brady consistently bought himself time to throw. A QB with less pocket presence would've been sacked quite a bit. The best play, however, was when Freeney came screamng around the end (having just beat Matt Light like a rented mule) and went for the strip instead of the wrap-up. Brady, while never taking his eyes off his receivers downfield, instinctively moved the ball forward at the instant Freeney tried to swat it out, almost as if he felt it coming. Amazing. It's the little things.
  16. I think it's pretty obvious that Brady's a better QB than Manning. He's done more with less than Manning could ever dream of doing.
  17. Well, I certainly value Foxboro Mike's opinions more than I do Golic's. That said, I've never been one for engaging in "this guy's better than that guy, so his team's better" arguments, but I don't decide what FM posts.
  18. And I think that Mark Schlereth is a better NFL Live fatass than Mike Golic. Who cares? Brady's got two Super Bowl MVP trophies sitting on his mantlepiece, so I doubt he cares what Mike "my biggest claim to fame is that my brother was on that show where the Saved By The Bell kids went to college" Golic thinks.
  19. Yeah, I heard that Givens said he could've played against Jax and will be fine for the opener.
