  1. It's amazing...to hear you tell it, the Bills have never lost a game because the other team just played better.
  2. No argument there. The secondary played poorly all through the second half, but got even worse when Harrison and Wilson were lost to injury.
  3. Indeed he is. Pathetic job of tackling. When your only real job is to make special teams tackles and you whiff THAT badly, you should be fired. And yes, Wire is better. Remember at the end of the Super Bowl last year, when Carolina just kept pass-pass-passing their way to the end zone? Wilson and Harrison were out, and Mayer was one of the replacements. He sucks. He wouldn't have even made the team if Guss Scott hadn't been IRed.
  4. I think I heard that he is, actually. Either way, he always seems bullish on the Bills through thick and thin.
  5. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/writ...qbte/index.html 42 blitzes?! WOW. Now that is an attacking defense. I thought the Bills' D played better than the 24 points they gave up on Sunday, and this was probably a big reason why.
  6. My complete and total apology for the snide comments. I though the original poster was talking about the Vrabel sack late in the game. I had completely forgotten about the earlier play that he was referring to. Now you know why I was so incredulous at first. Again, I most sincerly apologize. As for that play, I imagine that the ref simply assumed Vrabel hadn't heard the whistle, which is a perfectly reasonable assumption, given how loud RWS can get.
  7. Ooh, I know this one! It's on the tip of my tongue... I got it! It's because no penalty was commited on the play, and you're just looking for excuses, right? What do I win?
  8. I've been saying it since April '03 (really, ask Thurmal), but Dallas Clark would've been a real nice pick-up for you guys. Bledsoe's a little better when he's got a dynamic TE to throw to.
  9. I thought he was paralyzed at first, since he wasn't moving. Scared the crap out of me!
  10. On one replay, it appeared as if his knee grazed the turf. Close call, though. The refs also missed blatant holding on the Moorman scramble, so we'll call it even.
  11. I suppose the OL ripped the ball out of Bledsoe's hands as well? The OL was responsible for the sack, no doubt. But just a sack at least leaves the Bills in the game.
  12. That makes more sense. Belichick is the last guy I'd expect to reveal part of his gameplan on a TV show.
  13. I believe the Pats' sellout streak includes their pathetic 5-11 '00 season, genius.
  14. They (Islamic terrorists) attacked us on 9/11, and as a result, war was waged on two countries (Afghanistan and Iraq) that are known supporters of Islamic terrorism. Both wars were against supporters of militant Islam, which is what we were attacked by on 9/11. The war we are currently engaged in is one against terror, not against a specific terror network. Every terrorist organization and every nation that supports terrorism is a potential target.
  15. Stating fact is stating fact. Bush said that there exists a link between Iraq/Hussein and Al Qauda (which is undeniably true). He never said that Iraq/Hussein was involved with the specific 9/11 attack, and he CERTAINLY never said that "Saddam attacked the Twin Towers." Bottom line, you tried to put words in his mouth, and you got caught in a lie. Last I checked, the President is not responsible for ignorant people who form incorrect conclusions based on factual statements he's made.
  16. By whom? Certainly not the last 17 teams they've played.
  17. We were WORSE than the Bills are now as recently as 2000. I know that I certainly didn't jump ship, nor would I ever. None of the fans on the Pats board I frequent abandoned the team, either. Pro Football Weekly voted the Pats the least likely team to win a Super Bowl in the next ten years, but we just sucked it up, turned to the draft, and hoped that next year would be better. But no one that I know of switched teams or anything like that. Bottom line, you're always going to have some lame bandwagon fans that disappear when the team sucks, but don't generalize. I, and all the Pats fans that I talk with, stick with the team through good and bad.
  18. Yes, between Saddam and Al Qaeda, not Saddam and 9/11. Bush said that Hussein and his Iraqi regime have been linked to Al Qaeda in the past (which is completely true), but never said that Hussein had any involvement in 9/11. Think before you speak.
  19. The fact that the majority of their members have been captured or killed seems pretty serious to me.
  20. I Kerry gets elected, I see him eating babies for breakfast every morning. There is no way that would happen under Bush. See, I can make stupid, unfounded claims that have no basis in reality too.
  21. Indeed, especially since Bush has never, ever said anything close to "Saddam attacked the Twin Towers."
  22. You haven't watched the Pats since '02, have you? Because if you have, you would know that they simply don't run those types of plays at a frequent rate anymore.
  23. An ill-advised Hail Mary that wasn't needed and ended up getting Branch hurt. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: , Weis.
  24. Two tight end base set. FBs are being phased out. A TE who can line up in as many positions as Watson (TE, WR, FB, H-Back) are a much more versatile weapon.
  25. Beats me. He didn't dress against Arizona, but I didn't think it was anything serious. The Pats' official site lists is as a knee injury I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise, since one of Watson's knocks coming out was that he was injury-prone. Still sucks, though. At least he lasted longer than the fuggin' soldier. Fauria will probably replace him in the starting lineup, and ex-Phin Jed Weaver takes his place on the roster.
