  1. Ralph (Kerr) is a friend of mine. He's mainly involved in assisting those in administration of local school districts. Good people ... Definitely not related to the oil/gas field.
  2. So I'm moving to Haiti this fall as a missionary and we are scaling down the things that we have in the house. Some of those things include Pro! & GameDay programs from late 70s to the early 90s as listed below. Basically, I want to give them to people who want them ... if that's you, let me know. I understand this may get moved to another forum, but wanted to get some response on the wall. I should also specify they are all Bills programs from Rich Stadium. Programs that I have are: November 18, 1979 vs. Packers (No Cover) August 9, 1980 vs. Eagles (Montgomery Cover) November 2, 1980 vs. Falcons (Falcons on Cover) Super Bowl XV (Philly vs. Oakland) August 15, 1981 vs. Browns (Hall of Fame Class of 1981 Cover) November 22, 1981 vs. Patriots (No Cover ... Fergy Hail Mary to Roland Hooks game) September 12, 1983 vs. Chiefs (No Cover) October 21, 1984 vs. Broncos (Jack Lambert Cover) September 21, 1986 vs. Cardinals (Leonard Smith Cover w/Cards) August 13, 1990 vs. Giants (Hall of Fame Class of 1990 Cover) December 22, 1991 vs. Lions (Chris Spielman w/Lions Cover) November 20, 1994 vs. Packers (Reggie White Cover)
  3. Exactly ... they aren't making it go away AT ALL ... they are making it worse. And as much as I want them all to resign and go away, BB is way too smart to be getting everyone to pursue this without wanting us to.
  4. My initial reaction to the issue when it came out early in the week was that this was relatively inconsequential to the game that happened and that it is simply a misdirection away from another area that they are cheating in. The way that they have mishandled the press conferences and PR in the days following leads me to reaffirm that belief. They could have come clean in certain ways that didn't leave any sense of question as to their motives, but instead they continue to throw out phrases that keep everyone on their tail ... on this subject. This would keep the attention from whatever else they may be trying to do. I know ... I should probably be wearing a tin foil hat, but since my initial gut reaction has been confirmed by what I see ...
  5. Hmmm ... A poster with only three posts, starting at least two threads, both with links to questionably written articles? My first and last clue was the shortened URL with wp.me in the address. The dude is just linking to his own Wordpress blog. EDIT: all three posts started threads, all pointing to Wordpress blog. I won't even click given I can tell the content from the threads. Stop giving him free advertising ... And bonus traffic.
  6. My problem with the retractable roof or dome is that if you look at all of the 'newer' stadiums in the league that have been replaced or are in need to be replaced ... they are domed. Domed stadiums leave you needing a new stadium in 20 years. I don't understand why there is such a push for a stadium that won't even outlive the lease that we'll want.
  7. so you have to drink all of the milk before the last bite of cookie? seem backwards to me ...
  8. If my kids came home with 2-3 hours of homework at that age, I would question if anything were done at school, too. More often than not, poor teachers are resorting to simply assigning work instead of teaching.
  9. the refs could have also called the Pats for illegal formation on a number of plays from scrimmage ... the OGs & OTs were lined up in the backfield on a lot of plays. Their heads were behind the waist of the center ... but they didn't call it
  10. it started to pop off when he got hit, no penalty for removing it the rest of the way
  11. Just give it to 'em ... 'Nough said ...
  12. Does anyone know when they shifted the understanding of the goaline from a 'vertical plane extending forever in each direction' to you must get the ball into the end zone within the boundaries? That was always the description I remember being talked about when I was younger ...
  13. Possibly (one of the theories that I've heard) it is a slurring of the words "Beautiful Water" in French ... Beau Eau. Others have a Native American explanation that I cannot recall.
  14. Kind of like Barry Sanders waiting until right before training camp to retire ... No chance for the Lions to replace him either.
  15. I've always wondered why they don't standardize the bye issue ... How difficult would it be to have teams play another team coming off of a bye? Or ... Have an entire division off on a week and follow up with divisional games?
  16. Oh ... you wanted Thad to intentionally miss the handoff to your HOF running back so he can make it a broken play and run it in to garner all of the attention for himself? Or did you just mean you wanted a TD?
  17. On the Pats last FG, the play clock ticked down to 0 and then reset to 25 and they snapped the ball at 23 ... No flag The play before, just before the Bengals call timeout, Brady flinches to set his man in motion by shaking his shoulders, no flag for illegal procedure. Just over 2 minutes and the Bengals need 2 yards for a first to run out the clock and the Pats have 12 men on field, Bengals all set to snap the ball, no penalty for too many men ... I thought the whistle blows if that is the case and the penalty is automatically called ... I've only been watching the game for 10 minutes and the Pats are getting away with obvious penalties ... Non-subjective penalties that are not usually missed ... 3 in a row?
  18. Just to be sure ... I've seen it said a few times in this thread ... Defensive holding doesn't have to be on a pass play. There are times that a DT is flagged for holding an OL so that a LB can knife through the line. The penalty is not just called against eligible receivers.
  19. New England Penitentriots
  20. I think he's saying that there should be a total moratorium on talking to and hiring HC candidates, not just those who are involved in the playoffs. It certainly does prevent a team from waiting for a hot shot coordinator from a Super Bowl team as it hinders the hiring of their assistants. Is it unfair to those coordinators? Maybe. But I can't see a team losing a month of preparation because they have no head coach ... Unless it was their decision to wait for one of those coordinators. I can't see the NFL making teams go without coaches ...
  21. Tasker was ejected in his last game IIRC ... Tough way to go out ...
