Battle for the Division: Bill and Pats remaining games poll.
Kelly to Allen replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
And buffalo has 3 losses. Maye is in year 2. The season doesn't really start until Thanksgiving. Say what you want about bellicheat, but he's right about that. Buffalo is the stronger team built for December and January. -

They're going to drop a couple games outside buffalo & Baltimore. Don't get me wrong, they're off to a fast start, I think maye will be good but the jury is still out and there's going to be a correction. There always is ... Buffalo is the stronger team. Buffalo is battle tested to say the least. The pats are not Nothing is guaranteed obviously but that's my opinion. I'll say this, buffalo is getting healthier vs Tampa. But if we lose vs Tampa then I'll be less confident. Right now Miami feels like a classic let down spot. Obviously I could be wrong and I understand your pessimism -

Because buffalo has the better QB, oline and pass rush. Kincaid will be healthy too They'll boat race the pats if they don't turn it over like the last game -

Agree to disagree Jury is also still out on maye.... Ppl are overreacting to a classic let down loss.... Allen is still the 1st or 2nd best qb in the NFL and we all know what that means.... buffalo has the upper hand -

They had an all world passing game and for whatever reason thought something was wrong lol. Ummm no, the bills weren't losing games because of " turnovers" or Allen shredding secondaries They were losing because of defensive collapse after defensive collapse especially in the playoffs. The eagles game in 23, the hail Murray game in 20, pats game in 23 , etc -

Really hoping to see something different in the 1st qtr vs Tampa. Open up spread no huddle with Palmer & Gabe outside If things aren't working then Brady needs to actually change something. Beating your head against the wall and continually running on 1st down, with these forever drives increases the likelihood for mistakes and you create less possessions for your all world QB. Which plays directly into the hands of our opponents who literally want to shorten the game.... -

Because outside Hoecht, everyone is projected to be back on defense.... I still have buffalo beating the pats and winning the division & number 1 seed And I still have buffalo vs KC in the AFC championship -

Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?
Kelly to Allen replied to jaybeezee's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't necessarily mind that a lot of the defensive line got hurt this year because when it was healthy it did look like an awesome super bowl level defensive line when we saw it for a whole 2 qtrs vs Carolina. And it was still awesome vs KC without Oliver. My problem was with Brandon beane knowing this before the trade deadline and not adding a major piece on the defensive line.... My only guess is he's hoping TJ Sanders can replace Oliver.... There is something of a silver lining because TJ Sanders before that knee injury from the reports I was reading in training camp was borderline dominant. And I think in one of the preseason games he hurt his knee. And you can tell when he was playing that he was favoring a little bit.... Joe buscaglia said that he was by far the most impressive rookie and could start right away back in training camp.... So if Bosa gets fully back with his wrist and TJ Sanders is the real deal as an interior pass rusher.... Maybe we got something. Add in a healthy Oliver for the playoffs ( fingers crossed) So we'll see As much as ppl get on Beane, this recent class looks extremely promising. Landon Jackson was the only iffy pick that didn't show anything but his traits are extremely high so I understand the pick -

I still think when everything clears it's going to be Buffalo vs KC again in the AFC championship. -

To be fair Kelly didn't get there until he was 30 Peyton Manning was year 9 But mcbeane is running out of time -
I think both things are true. Allen shares some of the blame. But whatever the reason, we know it's not working. I want palmer and Gabe starting at outside wr for a few weeks. If there's big improvement then it is what it is. I honestly think Keon needs to reset regardless. There's also probably some nuance of the wr position that is above my head that keon is not picking up on. In the Steve Smith video for example when Keon Coleman was lining up he was not even looking at the defender whether he was far off or up close or his body language at all so when he caught the ball he was almost anticipating like he was going to get hit right away when nobody was there... those are the intricacies of the position at wide receiver that I think a lot of us are not noticing that Keon is failing in.... This is also something that falls on McDermott as a head coach though
-
Palmer, Shakir & Gabe as your top 3 wrs Samuel, Moore , Shavers as your backups Hardman active as your return guy Coleman inactive for a few weeks to reset
-
His comp was always an Elway archetype but the gunslinger favre was. I agree with you If it was up but to me I would have Josh Allen with lightning fast wrs and go spread 4-5 wrs all game , no huddle and have Alan throw for 6,000 yards but I'm just a fan bro
-
I honestly didn't think about that but one has to wonder. His body language doesn't seem decisive I still think the entire offense infrastructure around Allen with this McDermott regime is not competent. This ain't Bill Walsh and cutting edge offensive philosophy. And I think this is hurting Colemans development. Ppl will counter with the offensive production, but Allen has been under multiple coordinators and different philosophical systems and produced in all of them. Again this is Dick Jaroun who lucked into this eras John Elway He even looked good in the jets game. He had a big catch taken back on a penalty In the 1st 2 games he reminded me a bit of keyshawn Johnson. Something came off the rails so idk. He doesn't strike me as a wr that sucks. He has real abilities, but something happened after the 1st 2 games and his confidence looks gone In the interview when he was asked about the Steve Smith video he looked extremely sad and I could tell he was hurting. I felt bad for him... It's just my speculation but you gotta wonder if a personal issue is going on with Coleman. It's just a vibe I'm getting

It's not bad luck. If you draft or sign injury prone players or older players it's a much more common theme Bernard for example was constantly dealing with injuries in college, that's on Beane. Bosa, injury prone, on Beane, depending on Milano or Thompson after the past couple years, on Beane. Landon Jackson for example already had 2 torn acls in college, now it's a 3rd knee issue. That's on Beane.... There's numerous other examples. Von Miller was 33, with multiple serious injuries towards the end when beane decided to give him a ridiculous contract. That's on Beane.... At least with the bosa contract it was just a 1 year 12 mil contract Zack Moss in college - injury prone Poyer, Jordan Phillips, Tre White older injury prone players That's on Beane Beane decided to invest 3 years into Hoecht. We all know given the suspension why that was a risk.... Again this is on Beane Stop drafting smaller, injury prone players on defense -
It's combination of the back 7 sitting on routes in the intermediate area and Allen not consistently taking the easy underneath stuff. Allen was disciplined vs kc and it was beautiful He wasn't vs Miami, add turnovers and it got ugly Regardless the wrs desperately need true deep threat archetypes this off-season. I still think it will improve a bit tho with Palmer/ Davis & Hardman KC went thru this exact situation in 23 & 24

Week 11, Bucs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Kelly to Allen replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Buffalo 34 Tampa 20 A healthy palmer/ big game Gabe on the outside makes a big difference Dline is getting healthy too along with Taron Johnson back I think they'll try to hold benford out one more week. Bernard needs to go to ir to heal up unless he's better this week idk -
