  1. I think that's a misreading of that quote. It's more in the context of no expectations like every year is a new year and each year has new challenges. He has said repeatedly ad nauseam that his goal is to win the super bowl...
  2. As I've said before. If the bills lose to Tampa, I'll be more concerned and will think the dolphins game was more than a letdown. Even then I'm still not picking the pats to go further than buffalo in January. If buffalo keeps losing obviously I'll doubt the bills more. I saw Patrick Mahomes & the Kansas City Chiefs lose to the aidan o'connell raiders on Christmas in 2023. They were 8-6 and had worse wrs than buffalo....Their offense looked completely lost....they then went on to win the super bowl. I've seen buffalo left for dead. 6-6 and then everyone picking against them when they were going on the road in Kansas City. The offense looked disjointed.... They went on a serious run cut short by injuries. Drake Maye looks talented but he hasn't proven any of that yet.
  3. Yes Allen did He started out bad and finished strong vs Miami In the beginning of 19 he was very inconsistent and really settled down after the pats game. He then had a passer rating of like over 100 for many weeks until the Baltimore game. In 2020 he started extremely fast and then had a month of blah football. He then went on a heater until Baltimore in the playoffs. In 21 it was very inconsistent including the 9-6 game. 22 throughout 23 was also other adjustments to 2 high and tons of zone. Every QB goes through it. Some come out of it still great like Allen. Some are good like Carr, other fold like Wentz . Some QBs never even get going like losman or Zack Wilson Mahomes had 2 months of regression in 21. And again in 23 and 24
  4. FanDuel as of today to win the afc KC +310 Buffalo+460 Ind +470 Baltimore+700 Pats +700 Buffalo is still a favorite over the pats to win the Superbowl too
  5. Every QB has regression, especially when they're younger. There's usually tape, an adjustment, and then the QB either folds or becomes mid to good or adjusts fully and becomes great. Herbert has had multiple stretches during a season where he had better numbers than mahomes. We literally saw it with tua. Mac Jones was also the next Brady I read on this board. The bills were 7-6, pats 9-4. In 23 bills were 6-6 , fins were 9-3 I'll give it merit if it actually happens. And by happening that means going further than buffalo in January. I think that's a silly opinion.
  6. On FanDuel KC is 1 in the AFC , buffalo is 2.... But regardless we'll see in January
  7. There's a reason KC and buffalo are the top two favorites to win the AFC Mark this thread in January
  8. It's not projection or wishful thinking to think that a second year quarterback is going to get more tape and experience adversity. The jury is still out. What is wishful thinking is thinking a second year quarterback is going to overtake Josh Allen. Whether it be a division or in the playoffs. That's silly and wishful thinking until we actually see it happen when it matters. Hello Mac Jones and Tua... Saying they're older guys are healthy is also wishful thinking as older guys wear down in December in January. Benford & hairston being healthy will lockdown the pats wrs. The pats are pretty good vs the run but we'll see what happens in December vs our offensive line. I think it's a massive mismatch. Especially with Milton Williams being hurt. We'll both bring this thread up during Christmas and in January
  9. As frustrating as the season has been they are built to win in January Great all world quarterback in the beginning of his prime Excellent offensive line Young players at key positions like wide receiver and corner Organic pass rush that is really good All that being said they looked like complete ass versus the dolphins in an obvious let down spot and they have to beat Tampa
  10. I mean if the jets don't make tons of mistakes they could've won. I already told you, he's a 2nd year QB and there will be a self correction with more tape. The jury is still out obviously. He's going to hit some adversity and we'll see how he adjusts. It's extremely premature to say he's legit The pats are also extremely old at the skill positions except for RB. And rookie RBS wear down in December. The other skill positions are going to wear down at wr and te As I said before they're also not a very physical football team and that usually gets exposed in December and January We'll see who is correct by Christmas
  11. All of NFL history shows they'll fall back A 2nd year QB with more tape, and older skill players well past their prime outside Henderson that will wear down late in the year. Vrabel is a good coach but he's also not Bill Walsh or Andy Reid. He's a meathead McDaniels is a joke Diggs is 32 Hollins is 32 Henry is 30 Hooper is 31 The center and rt are 34 and 30. And Moses is always hurt late in the year. They just lost Milton Williams... They are not a very physical football team that is built for December and January.
  12. I just don't understand why McDermott doesn't bring in an experienced oc. I mean we can all speculate why but man oh man. Still think we'll be in the AFC championship but ugh
  13. I mean buffalo is younger than the pats in some key areas... Diggs, Hollins & Henry are all 32, 32, and 30 Hooper is 31 Bradbury is 30 Carlton Davis is 29 Spillane is 30. Landry has has had multiple knee injuries. They just lost Milton Williams. Morgan Moses is like 34 Did you see diggs slow to get up and holding his oblique area...? They're going to fall back in December Buffalo and KC will ascend in December
  14. 100% this. They have a pretty good team. But imo they're not ready for Dec/ Jan football.
  15. This pats team isn't close to the 2020 bills. The 20 bills had 6 wins vs 500 or better teams, would've been 7 if not for the Murray play. Including two blowout wins over 12 win teams, and 3 blowouts vs double digit win teams. And this is with the 16th ranked defense.... Buffalo avg 31.3 ppg that year, higher than 2024. The srs and power index isn't close either. There's a reason dvoa is low on the pats It's not about hate. The pats are an okay team. They're going to drop a couple games and then get destroyed by Buffalo and Baltimore in December. They aren't there yet
  16. KC is not hard to figure out, they're the second best team in the NFL that's been to the AFC championship or SB every year...KC will smoke denver Sunday and also win their division Baltimore can beat anyone except Buffalo or KC in the playoffs. Baltimore will easily win their division. Pats are a good team that's going to fall back in December. They aren't there yet. If they were id 100% be honest about it.
  17. It's absolutely bizarre and not only that when keon is on the field, because he's so slow it dramatically changes the coverage for the other wide receivers I don't even necessarily have a problem with the other wrs. Keon taking 70% of the snaps is dragging everything down. The best thing for him right now is to be an inactive for a few weeks to help reset mentally. It's not working
  18. This actually makes it worse lol Why bring attention to such a thing?
  19. Like vs KC? or Baltimore? Can't wait to play Baltimore again in the playoffs and hear about how great the Ravens roster is lol This team has one psychological hurdle to overcome and that's Kansas City in the playoffs
  20. The biggest problem of the drought was not bottoming out. And when they did in 2010, they lost out on Newton. In 2004 Donahue wouldn't offer up a 1st for Big Ben. But did for losman. Which cost them Rodgers in 05.... That set the franchise back years. Not having stable ownership was also a big part of the problem which shouldn't be in the future
  21. We'll I guess it's over. It was a great run....
  22. They're going to get waxed by buffalo and Baltimore. They'll lose a couple other games too They're not that good
  23. 💯. In 21 they had the 9-6 loss vs a terrible jags team. They lost opening day to the Steelers who were putrid. The 21 season was basically all blowouts and terrible losses. Everyone thought the pats were going to win the division. The 21 Bills were simultaneously the best team I've seen since the 1990 team, but also it's most underachieveing and inconsistent.
  24. In theory they built the offense like that to close out games in January. As to the 2-3 record, they've been in worse spots in 23 and 21. I believe in 23 they were 3-5 over 8 games. KC over 23 & 24 again had these same issues.... The past doesn't equal the future and maybe you're correct. Im confident with this QB, oline and pass rush they'll get to the AFC championship. Once they get that far Allen has to take them home. We'll see In the Allen era starting in 19 they've always won at minimum 10 games 10-5 in 19 And got to the div rd or AFC championship every year since 2020. Only KC has achieved the same.... I have zero fear either if we're on the road for the entire playoff. Never have with Allen. Maybe it's hubris on my part...
