  1. Thats not true. Mike Fisher had the scoop the day after the niners game and over that offseason.
  2. no doubt he is the best wr on the team. I am not questioning that. I also layed out that I do understand why he cost a 3rd, I get it. i just hate trading away top 3 picks even when we have extras. Also I am a little nervous he shows up a few weeks from now with some minor injury and starts not practicing and then ends up questionable every week. that is my big concern with the player. on the field if healthy and 100% into win, he will be a big difference maker. This team is built to run the ball and if they continue to that cooper, shakir, kincaid and the backs can make the passing game go. I am not of this opinion to be a contrarian, if you look at my posts here you will see I am pretty consistent with my opinion on trading for wr as the savior, I have never been a fan of it and prefer to build the team in the draft.
  3. Yes I know their picks. Having alot of picks doesn't mean just moving one. If you have a position of strength in the draft I would like to think you play that hand at the draft. but again, i layed it out in my other post. They overpayed because they are essentially compensating Cleveland for them taking all his money this year (they did it earlier in the year). So onward and upward.
  4. well taking a step back and looking at it Dallas dumped Cooper because they wanted his attitude off the team asap, cleveland agreed to take his salary for a fifth. Cleveland is trading Cooper to Buffalo because they do not want/can't pay him going forward, Buffalo agrees to a 3rd because Cleveland ate the money earlier in the year. plus KC could have figured in somewhere or Baltimore. So in this respect I get it, I just hope he we don't get the pouting version of this guy who always has a nagging injury.
  5. he was traded to cleveland because he was dogging it in the divisional round of the playoffs vs the 49ers. The coaches wanted him off the team immediately after the game and dumped him for a fifth. If he is giving 100% and doesn't have a nagging injury he should be a huge difference maker, this week alone he should draw snead in coverage which will keep kincaid or shakir cleaner right off the bat.
  6. he is a financial bargain for sure. This level of player at that pay is basically unheard of when not on a rookie deal.
  7. I didn't like that either honestly but saw the bills as desparate at corner at that moment so i understood. I still don't think Buffalo was in the same spot at wr.
  8. that is a fair point and the prescence of the Chiefs needing help also probably plays a part. i just hate trading any picks in those first three rounds. For all I know Beane will turn one of the 2's into two 3's next year or a 3 and a 4 or something which would be fine.
  9. Now look at what Beane has done in the third. Dewayne Carter Dorian Williams Terrel Bernard Spencer Brown pretty good players. Hopefully Cooper is great and will make me forget it cost us 3rd.
  10. So on paper now Cooper-Coleman outside Shakir - samuel inside Knox-Kincaid -tight end Cook-Davis-Johnson rb that is pretty good. I imagine next spring the defensive line is going to be the focus.
  11. when he was traded to Dallas during the season in 2019 he hit the ground running right away. I think he can do the same thing here if he is 100% committed to playing.
  12. I am, WR is not going to be the reason this team finally beats KC or beats the Ravens in the playoffs. If the browns draft a big time player with that pick next year I will be sick. If Cooper fits in and plays hard and helps this team get over the hump I will be the first to tell you I was wrong. I just think giving up a third round pick is way too much.
  13. for those of you who go to games look for Cooper in the parking lot...If I remember correctly from his time in Dallas he is a car guy and drives like a mclaren or bentley with suicide doors!
  14. this would be the only reason to over pay in my opinion, if they got word KC was willing to give up a 3 then I can almost understand.
  15. Yes I was fine for allowing this group to get better each week and maybe grabbing another younger wr off a team with multiple years left on his deal. I hate everything about this trade. That third round pick missing is going to sting big time in april.
  16. he was on a winning team in Dallas after being traded from a lousy raiders team. They dumped him for a fifth round pick because he didn't want to play hurt and didn't give it maximum effort. Dallas basically kicked him off the team after he basically played half hearted in a playoff game vs SF two years ago. The staff was livid and just wanted him out of the building. He was on a team with Dak, Lamb and Gallup. Played inside a dome. I just hope he doesn't show up in Buffalo and pout and all of a sudden turn up with some nagging injury.
  17. a third round draft pick would have been here for four years and inexpensive. They traded the opportunity to draft a young player to fit in with a young team going forward for half a season. a third and a seventh for cooper and a sixth. I hate this.
  18. OMG They sent a 3rd for Cooper. This is beyond terrible. Dallas sent cooper two years ago to Cleveland for a fifth. A 3rd round draft pick for a guy leading the league in drops who has questionable desire to play the game. Just shoot me right now.
  19. I know I am wrong but it has seemed this year that they come out and play teams in two deep straight up in the first quarter. Its as if they are seeing what the other team is going to do and they are daring them to throw the ball down the field while conceding some rushing yards. then as the game goes on they change and start attacking and clog those running lanes. As johnson gets healthier and we get oliver back hopefully soon I bet they will do a better job earlier in the game stopping the run. it caused the defense to get overwhelmed by the ravens rushing attack though and may again versus teams like kansas city, san francisco and detroit.
  20. Allen gets a team of players playing for each other who have the same goal. They play hard, they don't give up and they improve during games. The jets like the cowboys subscribe to the 53 individuals theory.
  21. I only listened to the 4th quarter after the yankees game so if he did, credit to him. Buck and van pelt didn't know how to pronounce his name though.
  22. The best part will be how fast his hamstring is healthy! Mr. Miyagi couldn't fix it as fast as this trade did.
  23. It was truly an amazing play. The best part was Buck and Aikman have no idea who he is, one of the best corners in the league and Buck didn't even know how to pronounce his name when it happened. then in the postgame scott van pelt didn't know how to pronounce his name either. One of the finest corners in the league who just returned after being out for a month. if one of the jets corners made that exact play it would have been the story of the night. Buck only cares about qb's and wr's.
