when you don't game plan vs a front seven like this you are going to have all kinds of problems. Pretty common in the preseason to
see teams just man to man push people around. again this is the best run defense in the league
yea I understand but there is no reason to put allen at risk vs this bears front seven. None.
I don't want cook out there either. This group will get a ton of work this week vs the steelers in the joint practice.
i am cool with him handing off.
In fact I would not put him back out there again. This bears defense is very good, number 1 against the run last year and have pass rushers.
We dont need allen getting hit on august 10th.
eric wood said on the radio already that williams is slow to read the defense.
Ha. one preseason drive in is a little soon i would say to make evaluations
Friendly reminder last years preseason opener the steelers manhandled the bills.
then bills eliminated them in the playoffs.
so remember this is just practice in uniforms.
He has come off as down on the team since free agency started. It feels like he wants to say they will miss the playoffs and this is a rebuilding year but I am not sure he has said those exact words yet.
there is also the issue of being able to sign vested veterans without having to guarantee their salaries for the whole season after week 1.
So the week 1 roster could look different (younger) than the roster post week 1.
I personally wouldn't keep collins in any scenario really. He is always hurt and is known to be a lazy uninterested player. He really has been a head scratcher to me being signed here.
