  1. Friendly reminder last years preseason opener the steelers manhandled the bills. then bills eliminated them in the playoffs. so remember this is just practice in uniforms.
  2. He has come off as down on the team since free agency started. It feels like he wants to say they will miss the playoffs and this is a rebuilding year but I am not sure he has said those exact words yet.
  3. there is also the issue of being able to sign vested veterans without having to guarantee their salaries for the whole season after week 1. So the week 1 roster could look different (younger) than the roster post week 1.
  4. I will second that. I was hoping he would be here already.
  5. I personally wouldn't keep collins in any scenario really. He is always hurt and is known to be a lazy uninterested player. He really has been a head scratcher to me being signed here.
  6. yea absolutely will have a pair of DT on the practice squad I imagine. here is joe's thoughts on that. Defensive Tackle (4) Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, Austin Johnson, DeWayne Carter With so many good edge rushers shining in camp, some of which having the ability to reduce to defensive tackle on third down, it could make it difficult for the Bills to keep more than four defensive tackles this year. With a low amount of guaranteed money on his one-year deal, the 31-year-old DeShawn Williams is an ideal candidate to release while trying to add him to the practice squad immediately in case of an injury. Eli Ankou would be the backup plan if Williams signs elsewhere. Released: DeShawn Williams, Eli Ankou Waived: Branson Deen, Gable Stevenson
  7. So a few things stand out, Will Clapp and Mike Edwards getting cut....Edwards with an injury settlement and Clapp being signed back to the Practice squad. Also only 4 Defensive tackles. Collins making the team over clapp would be surprising to me. Also, Chase Claypool getting released and Zach Davidson getting waived. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5688177/2024/08/09/buffalo-bills-training-camp-preseason-53-man-roster-projection/
  8. His hiring of Kellen Moore to run the offense when he is an offensive coach and has a different scheme essentially is a big tell that he knows he is hanging by a thread. His qb reaching out to other teams coordinators to see where they are weak on offense is odd, very odd. I really hope the Giants steal that division somehow.
  9. Hopefully. Young players basically missing all of camp puts them behind in a lot of different ways though. The bills have a difficult schedule to start the season and I imagine they are not going to throw bishop out there early in the year coming off injury if he missed all of camp and the preseason. The safety position is going to need some help when the cuts come in around the league imo.
  10. the weather in the bronx for the yankees angels game looks considerably worse than the weather in east rutherford for the giants lions which is pretty weird
  11. currently watching giants lions....seeing phil simms now working for the giants after being the lead guy at cbs for so long is strange
  12. if that bishop injury is accurate his whole rookie season is basically a wash. He will have no practice time and they will be hesitant to put him in games as the season goes on. not having your 2nd rounder as a contributor is a big blow to the team. They needed bishop to be a player right away. hopefully he gets on the field for the final preseason game and the report is false.
  13. makes sense allen and the line will play this week a few series. They are home and next week he wont play at all after joint practices with the steelers. I hope allen hands off to Davis 8 times and gets the hell out of there.
  14. The team that pays him will expect that number to go up and stay up and he may be the focal point of the offense wherever he goes. He played in the best offensive system in the league. I stand by my opinion that the niners will be fine and will replace him and their offense when williams and mcafferey are back will just keep doing what it does. The vikings used the bills pick and landed a better player in justin jefferson. in the end Diggs did the same thing in buffalo he did in minnesota, whined until they had to remove him from the locker room. Buffalo is taking a huge hit on the cap this year for him to play in Houston. pretty sure that is the opposite of pretty good.
  15. He has already been hurt and missed OTA's and is now hurt and Missing Training camp. I imagine they make a secondary move or use the cuts to add a wr. their system will make most wr productive. I imagine by the time we hit november or late october whoever steps into that role will be fine in SF.
  16. what does this mean for the awful people who scalp tickets? Does it matter at all?
  17. The amount of injuries is really wild this summer. They have to get through 3 preseason games and they cant get through a practice without players getting hurt. I wouldn't play a single starter in any of these games with the luck they are having. he could end up getting put on the IR and return later. Not sure they would want to use that with him but I bet it's an option if he is fitting in with the team in the locker room.
  18. I want to go on the record that the niners will replace aiyuk and continue to run their offense (once everyone is healthy and returns) and basically not miss a beat and the team that pays aiyuk 30 million and gives up draft picks two years from now will be wondering how to get out of his contract. just my opinion. Certain players look like the number 1 wr that everyone talks about instantly, I do not in my humble opinion see that in aiyuk. Malik Nabers has that look about him already and hasn't played a game yet. Trading for these guys is always the wrong move.
  19. this team is going to be running on fumes through these preseason games. How are there so many injuries?
  20. They have so many injuries that some guys are going to have to play a few series they don't really want playing early in the game I imagine.
  21. Joe Buscaglia had his end of the first week recap the other day and what stuck out to me was that he said the team last year worried about playing rapp because he is out of position a lot and then said he has been having the same problem at camp. He made safety sound like a major red flag. this opinion completely contradicts the backwards hat youtube scout cosplayers. So i am not sure who is right but I like Joe Buscaglia and value his opinion.
