  1. That was tough to watch. The highlight for me was that one random woman who completely freaked out. "Get away! Get away from meeeeeee!" Like she's being assaulted by a 130 lb English kid with a camera crew.
  2. Thanks for letting us know that even though the alarmists were waaay off, they could have been right. That makes a huge difference. A clock? Yeah, I guess the only difference is that people have successfully been able to predict a clock before, as opposed to climate change predictions which have been a monumental failure as evidenced by the alarmist reports in the 70s. Other than that small difference, that was a great comparison. Your life insurance comparison was better than this one, and it was still completely terrible.
  3. I have some copies of a 1975 Newsweek article about the dangers of Global Cooling. The article has maps and charts and it reads exactly the same as all the alarmist climate articles in Newsweek, etc. today except that in 1975 life as we know it was ending because the temperature was decreasing. The last paragraph even has an ominous quote from a scientist about just how bad things are going to get.
  4. No joke, that's actually really important to me. It may be the most useful thing Congress ever did for me.
  5. Ironically, the public calls Tim Tielman a "massive douche bag." What would be cool is when they're digging for the foundations for these buildings, if they could just throw Tielman down there and then pour the concrete.
  6. Like a fine wine, Mandy gets better with age. On the other hand, can something that's perfect already actually get better?
  7. Oh, wow, you totally burned me with that one. It's waaaaaay cooler to screw up the TV talent show for no apparent reason. You know what else is cool? Just finding something else to watch on TV or reading a book or going outside. It's sad that Howard Stern is so far past his prime that this passes as cool.
  8. How big of a loser do you have to be to spend your time dialing a phone to mess up some talent show that other people like?
  9. Best episode of the season. Best episode in years maybe. I thought 24 had nowhere left to go but that last shootout and fight scene was intense. The huge homage to Die Hard was awesome too. Throwing Audrey and the Chinese in in the last minute was a little goofy but that finale was so badass that I really don't care.
  10. Sabres will throw game 4 of every series just to help Golisano cash in with a game 5. The dead giveaway will be when the camera shows the Sabres bench during the game and half the players are playing Game Boy while the other half are on their cell phones.
  11. The Habs have the most history. And that's why they're my dark horse pick in this year's playoffs.
  12. Your job has nothing to do with what you said before. And, I repeat, no one wants to trade places with you in NJ. But thanks for informing us that you live in a "safe area."
  13. Wow, way to borrow a talking point from Willis McGahee. How persuasive. People on this message board live all over the country and all over the world, and I don't think there's one of them who would actually want to live in NJ over where they are now.
  14. When they both fell in the mud together, I did the same fist pump I usually do when the Sabres score. Great episode. Juliet is probably evil as hell but I wouldn't care either. I'd let her live with me.
  15. Yeah, I'll have to finally buy something with the Sluggalo on it. Crap. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll put out some stuff with the B-sword logo.
  16. I'm buying a t-shirt immediately (assuming they sell them, which they should). Back when the Bills were in the Super Bowl every year, my dad never wanted to buy any merchandise because he kept saying we should wait until they win the Super Bowl rather than spend our money on AFC East and AFC Champions stuff. The results were predictably terrible. Back in 2002, I bought every Angels t-shirt commemorating every Angels accomplishment, leaving me with t-shirts and hats for: 2002 Wild Card, 2002 ALDS, 2002 ALCS, 2002 AL Champions, 2002 World Series, and finally 2002 World Series Champions. It cost a damn fortune but at least I didn't jinx the team.
  17. First time in Sabres history. Scary Good.
  18. Those damn Jews are such trouble makers. Always trying to defend themselves. Can't they just let the terrorists kill them in peace? Ugh, it's just sooo frustrating. They should be more like Syria.
  19. The title of the editorial is classic, and just about sums it up: Absolutely hopeless.
  20. Best part of the video is when Kermit looks at the framed picture of himself with Jim Henson. Made me laugh and feel sad at the same time.
  21. Yeah, if by "very interesting" you mean "America is f*cked." It's probably going to come down to Hillary Clinton shouting ONE. WORD. AT. A. TIME. DURING. SPEE. CHES. FOR. EM. PHA. SIS. and Rudy Guiliani trying to figure out if he's a conservative or not. Maybe Hillary will whip out that horrible Southern accent she was trying to pass off again. I guess at this point I'd take Fred Thompson or Obama. Both could be dumb as rocks but at least they both know how to deliver a speech and that'd be a nice change of pace at least.
  22. Because they're equally retarded and equally unfamiliar with what the Legislative branch is supposed to be doing. Congress is full of dumb f#cks on both sides of the aisle. For the most part, Congress is a bunch of stupid assh0les who will do or say anything to keep a high profile and get re-elected. BTW, USA Today piled on this morning: USA Today
  23. This definitely has something to do with the Hare Club for Men.
