  1. "Ain't mah fault. Know what I mean? Know what ahm sayin'? Damn..." [stupid laughter follows] Willis McGahee is a turd. He has absolutely no character. And Ray Lewis glaring at him is not going to suddenly cause him to develop character. And he's on the downside of his career. He's already slower than he was the first time he played for the Bills. The average lifespan for a RB in the NFL is pretty short anyways so how many years does anyone really think he has left even if he's alright in 2007?
  2. That was one of the most brutal things I've ever seen in hockey. He should have an 18 month suspension for that. Even if he gets the suspension he deserves, though, it'll be bittersweet. You know Ovechkin or Crosby could do the same thing and get maybe 2 games.
  3. People around here can say whatever bad things they want about Mandy Moore.... ...as long as they're cool with me coming over to where they live and sawing off their fingers with a rusty hacksaw one by one until they take it back.
  4. Fine, I'll try to be more wishy-washy the next time I say something you don't agree with. Someone started a thread about Sarah Silverman and I chimed in with my opinion. You're the one who took it up ten notches with "you conservative tough guys..." I said I didn't like her and then I said why. Calm down.
  5. So it turns out McGahee is a complete jerk-off. I'm sure up to 10 people will be really shocked at this sudden turn of events.
  6. I would've used this information as evidence that she's just not that funny.
  7. No it isn't. I saw her show once and never bothered to come back. I've seen her stand-up and would basically never go out of my way to see it again. I just really don't care or see why anyone thinks she's so great. Saying or doing outrageous things without any insight isn't that funny because, like I said, anyone can do it. I just said she wasn't funny. And that "crossing the line" by taking shots at Jews and Christians isn't really crossing the line anymore because it's been done to death. Who cares?
  8. Totally agree with you. She can be amusing at times but it's impossible to put up with her for more than 2 minutes. There's only so much saying-something-offensive-in-an-ironic way that you can take. Anyone can do this: Think of something offensive. Say it out loud. Smirk. Hope people laugh. Whoever brought up CC not showing Muhammed on South Park has a great point too. Silverman making fun of Jews and Christians isn't offensive or funny. It's boring. Everyone frigging does that. If she mocks Muslim culture or Muhammed on her show, let me know.
  9. I haven't listened to WGR in the past 5-6 weeks since I moved from Buffalo, but I thought White was pretty funny and Brad Riter is one of my favorite radio people of all time. That said, they were both such big fans of Willis (which I can't understand) that I would've loved to hear their first shows after he was dealt. I can imagine White being pretty hysterical after hearing his Willis arguments on air with Jerry Sullivan over the past few months. Sullivan once said they only reason White (and maybe Riter) were so emphatic about Willis being good/staying was that they were the ones on the air during the draft who were so excited when the Bills took him. They had a lot to lose if they admitted it was a bad draft pick.
  10. What about Hickory and Dickory?
  11. Just let me know when we're going to burn down the TSW Wall-Mart....
  12. Sometime in December, someone from the Bills (maybe their chief financial guy) had a quote in the Buffalo News in favor of the blackout rule. So basically the team is fine with blackouts.
  13. Is he staying in Charlotte? He's so ignorant and full of himself, he'd be perfect for the New York Times or maybe NBC News. He has the potential to bring his stupidity to so many more people..... (Reason number ten million why I have so little respect for reporters.)
  14. It was a completely boring game. It wasn't even that entertaining when it was close. I spent the last quarter and a half just wanting the players to stay in bounds so that we could get it over with and I could watch Peyton celebrate (and then that was boring).
  15. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, says "football" like guys pretending to ride flamingos and a giant mime show. This crap doesn't happen in other sports.
  16. I'm really starting to wonder how hard it is to get a job at the New York Times. At this point I think you can just get wasted and scribble some stuff on a Burger King napkin and it'll be in the paper the next day. Link Obviously. Seriously, right after the Snickers ad where the two guys accidentally kiss, I looked at my dad and said "Iraq" and he nodded his head. My big problem with that ad was that it was almost too heavy-handed with its strong anti-war message. If stupidity was a building, this article could have ended right here and been the HSBC Tower in Buffalo. But Stuart Elliott keeps going and eventually constructs the Sears Tower of stupidity. Soooooo.....Prudential Financial came up with their logo and slogan years in advance to reference the eventual Iraq War? What the hell? Still no word on if the Sierra Mist commercials were a reference to Katrina. Prudential Financial Logo
  17. You beat me to it. Brock Samson is one of the greatest characters ever.
  18. Forget about whatever Biden said, the most offensive stuff I've heard in months came from some genius the Washington Post hired. Link The troops are "American people" and they're using the same first amendment as this moron. It gets worse: The soldiers should be grateful that the American public doesn't assume they are all rapists and murderers? That's indulging them? The soldiers are in this for the money and the great lifestyle that military life brings? "Obscene amenities"? Really? Finally, the grand finale: In other words, the soldiers are mercenaries who are getting too full of themselves. It's just a fact of life that there are people this delusional and retarded in the world and you just have to live with that. But the fact this this guy is paid to write this sh-- for one of the top 5 newspapers in the country is a little tough to take.
  19. If he wanted to and the troops were happy to receive it, I definitely wouldn't care. Al Franken has visited the troops and even if I don't like him, I'm sure the troops appreciate that so good for him. Honestly, I don't think the Rush and O'Reilly things are the best way for each to support the troops but I'm definitely not offended by either of them (and the whole point of this thread was how offensive this was, right?). I also have no reason to think that these pushes are the only thing each man is doing for the troops. There's no doubt GAP benefitted from the (red) campaign because it gave them publicity and the extra people in the stores bought some additional merchandise that wasn't (red). But who cares? Good for them. If someone bought two of those red t-shirts and ended up buying a sweater that they weren't planning on getting, then I guess that's just GAP benefitting from trying to do something charitable.
  20. If the troops are getting something they want for free, then what's the problem? I know almost nothing about Limbaugh, but O'Reilly has visited the troops in Iraq and given air time to a lot of people representing a lot of charities centered around the troops in Iraq. I still don't have a problem with anyone having sales promotions to help the troops. If Coca-Cola advertised that for every 12-pack sold, they'd send over one 12-pack to soldiers in Iraq, I'd buy more of their product. If for every Gateway computer sold, another was sent to a soldier in Iraq, I'd be more likely to buy that too. Businesses making money never really bothers me, especially if they're donating to the troops. I wish there was more of it. What does this have to do with anything? OK, this part doesn't really make sense but I will say that I'm glad people are making donations and that this particular center did get some press coverage. Since we're just bringing up random things at this point, I should mention that you really have nothing to tell me about amputee centers. I was the lead author of two published studies on amputee gait and did a lot of my research at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. I also gave a presentation on amputee walking at the International Society of Biomechanics Conference in Cleveland in 2005.
  21. The Rush thing lets listeners buy "Rush Fan Club" (or whatever that is) memberships for the troops and the O'Reilly one sends an extra copy of the book to a soldier for everyone who buys one. Either way, the troops who want this stuff are getting it for free and there's extra incentive for people to donate to the troops. What's the problem? Were you bitching about GAP introducing its (red) clothing line a few months back as a big company "explointing" AIDS to sell stuff? I wish more companies and businesses would come up with promotions that helped the troops or other charities.
  22. Has he stopped demanding that 24 end its "naked brainwashing" of the American public yet?
  23. Nina. She was one evil B word, but she was easy on the eyes. She tried to steal classified CTU files, but she ended up stealing my heart. And killing Teri. Oh, and I voted for Michelle in your pathetic, Nina-less poll.
  24. Jack Bauer can get breakfast at McDonald's after 10:30am. Can you? If Jack Bauer was a character on LOST, he'd be off the island in 24 hours. I do like the idea of Jack Bauer hosting Cold Pizza -- Jack Bauer: "Tell me who's going to win the Super Bowl." Skip Bayliss: "I don't know!" Jack Bauer: ".....Not good enough." (torture ensues)
  25. She's hot but there are hotter girls, even in her age group (whatever that is, late 30's?). And, yeah BlueFire, she's on Law & Order but it's the crappy version where someone gets raped every episode. Over on the 'real' Law & Order, every assistant DA from the past 10 years is hotter even if the show took a nosedive the past few years. Yeah, those are going to be good times.
