  1. When they are playing Sunday afternoon, they will get a lot of 4:25 starts as many of their games will be the national game shown to the entire country.
  2. I know the Leafs and Panthers has been the higher profile series in the eastern conference, but the Hurricanes are starting to look like champions. They have completely shut down the Caps. Anderson is looking like the best goalie still playing in these playoffs. Whoever wins the Leafs-Panthers series will have their hands full with the Canes who look like they will get past the Caps.
  3. I actually hope we get an easy week 1 matchup on Sunday at 1:00. Something like Jets at Bills. It's always nice to start 1-0. The Bills will get their share of primetime games but just like last year a 1:00 start on Sunday would be fine.
  4. Dallas. LOL. I know Aikman is a Cowboys fan obviously, but they are the 3rd best team in their division behind the Eagles and Commanders. Then there are a bunch of other NFC contenders who are also better than them. The Cowboys are a long shot at best to represent the NFC. My pick for the NFC is Detroit.
  5. First game of the season since the Super Bowl was played in Feb. The Eagles could play Orchard Park HS on this night, and it would draw huge ratings.
  6. Good point if Christmas is the final regular season home game. What does the AFC get this year 8 or 9 home games?
  7. Just a guess but I think the Bills open up on the road this year. Last year they opened at home against the Cardinals. Next year is the first year at the new stadium. You know how the NFL likes to make a big deal about everything. I think they put the new stadium in the spotlight week 1 of the 2026 season. If the Bills don't win the Super Bowl and play the 1st Thursday night game, then they will get week 1 at home on SNF or MNF so the 1st game in the new stadium gets national exposure. I don't know if the league will have the Bills open at home 3 straight years which is why I think this year they open on the road.
  8. The Jets and Dolphins played in London in 2015. It was a Miami "home" game.
  9. Depends on the defense. On paper they are better, but will they show it on the field. If they do, then the Bills have an excellent shot to get to the Super Bowl and win it. If not, then it won't happen. Allen plays great but he can't lead the Bills to the Super Bowl by himself as we have seen over the years.
  10. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-vikings-set-to-have-back-to-back-international-games-in-2025/ar-AA1EtDoh
  11. I remember the season finale when the Bills played the Jets at Giants Stadium. The Bills won 37-0 and I believe this was the last game Joe Walton coached the Jets as he was fired soon after. The game was sold out and shown on local TV but only 21,148 showed up and I was one of them. It was so easy to get in and out of the Meadowlands that day with such a small crowd.
  12. They aren't fading until proven otherwise but their division is getting tougher. Hopefully someone in that division can knock them down to WC status. Harbaugh will build a team that will eventually challenge them. They made the playoffs in his first year there. Can they take the division from them this year. I don't know but they will sometime soon. IMHO
  13. https://nypost.com/2025/05/08/sports/ducks-hiring-joel-quenneville-after-career-derailed-over-handling-of-sexual-assault-scandal/ Wasn't Quenneville involved in some kind of sex scandal when he coached years ago. I thought the NHL banned him. Guess not as he is the new Ducks HC.
  14. This doesn't sound like the Steelers are interested in trading him. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-shock-steelers-prepare-161-million-deal-for-tj-watt-after-pickens-trade/ar-AA1Ep9Ns?ocid=BingNewsSerp
  15. True the Bills OL is also very good. I meant 2nd best player on offense at the skill positions.
  16. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Tomlin has ever had a losing season as Steelers HC. Maybe 8-8 once or twice but never a losing season. He has been the Steelers coach for a long time now. I just can't see the Steelers tanking. They may not be good enough to win the division. But they never seem to be a bottom feeder either. Barring injuries the Ravens should win the division. If the Bengals had a defense, then they could challenge them, but they don't.
  17. It really is a shame that Terry can't get out of his own way when it comes to the Sabres. Even though Buffalo is known as a football mad city, they are also a very good hockey market. When/If the day ever comes when playoff hockey returns to WNY I can't wait to watch the Sabres first playoff home game in years. I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like. It will be crazy loud in the arena. That is for sure.
  18. I hope the first game at the new stadium is also on Thursday night for the obvious reason but even if the Bills don't win it all this year, I still think the first game at the new place will be a primetime game. You know how the NFL likes to make a big deal out of everything so they will probably want the Bills new home to be in the spotlight nationally for the first regular season game. If it's not the Thursday night game, then it will be SNF or MNF. IMHO.
  19. Wasn't the first regular season game at the stadium against the Jets so it would be cool if they closed the regular season at the current stadium against the Jets. When they open the new stadium the first regular season game should be against the Dolphins. Most Bills fans consider the Dolphins the Bills biggest rival so why not have the first regular season game at the new place against them.
  20. Cook is absolutely needed. He is the 2nd best player on the Bills offense. He isn't elite like Barkley or Henry, but he is very good. He helps take a lot of pressure off of Allen.
  21. Cook not being at OTA's isn't a big deal. I will start to get concerned if he is a no show at TC.
  22. I am starting to get that sick feeling that this might be the Leafs year. I am not giving up on Florida, but they better win the next 2 at home to even this up at 2-2 otherwise the Leafs will most likely be in the ECF. I don't care who wins the Cup just as long as the Leafs don't.
  23. Another random (meaningless) game that I remember was in 1978 during a miserable 5-11 season. The Bills beat the Giants 41-17 and Terry Miller had over 200 yards rushing that day. I looked up the attendance and it was 28,496 who showed up that day.
  24. Lou Lamoriello could probably do a better job even at 82. Even though the Isles didn't renew his contract, his time on the Island wasn't a complete failure. 5 playoff appearances in 7 years with back-to-back runs to the ECF. If the Isles could have gotten by Tampa they might have won the Cup.
