I think they’ll be quite good this year, with or without Hairston. Strong looks pretty strong. Safeties are good, I’m gonna say Hamlin goes for 4 Int’s this year, maybe 5 if that D-Line works out. If you look at the schedule, take Baltimore away…there’s a lot of lay ups there for a McDermott defense. Somebody is going to eat on the back end. Benford has never been a stats guy, and I think somehow by default it’s Hamlin because in the regular season at least he has instincts

A week later and I'm still bummed over this. What makes this tragic in my mind is he wasent a super old guy. It sounds like he got an infection from the surgery and that's what did him in, because he was a healthy guy otherwise. Had the back issues but he always kept himself in great shape and he was mentally sharp still compared to some athletes his age. He's everything I miss in the past 20 years of pro wrestling. This match here with The Rock was a work of art, they went into this match with the game plan of The Rock being the current megastar babyface, and Hogan the NWO heel. It was always Vince's plan to switch Hogan back babyface, but the people here just jumped ahead of it because of the nostalgia effect. At the beginning of this match the people were with Hogan 100 to 0. Hogan was doing all the classic heel stuff to get heat (choking The Rock with his wrist tape, biting The Rock, whipping him with his belt etc)...but the people cheered it. That's how over Hogan was, they were giving him babyface pops for heel *****. Hogan knew how to work the people, and that's sorely missed in todays product. The faces, knowing where the cameras are at all times, the in-ring psychology…it's a lost art. The Rock did a wonderful job of that in this match too. When they locked up and Hogan threw him off and The Rock took that ass over tea kettle bump and looked up with that shocked look, or the look on Rockys face when Hogan was hulking up after the kickout...tremendous. Pat Patterson did a great job constructing this match, nice false finishes. Rocky getting Hogan in the sharpshooter, Hogan landing the rock bottom on Rocky. Hogans Wrestlemania 3 match with Andre is still my all-time favourite match. Their promos and build to the match was excellent, and I love the presentation of that Wrestlemania. Even tho it was a giant stadium it had the old school look, dark arena, the ring lit up, the classic red, white and blue ropes with the blue turnbuckles and yellow WWF logos...it's the red helmet of wrestling rings. I wish they would go back to that ring with modern technology so the guys wouldn't get hurt like the did on the old one. And Andre was the perfect villian for Hogan too, it's the only match I ever thought Hogan could lose. I don't think we'll ever have another monster babyface like that again because Hulk was such an enormous guy with a great body, not many guys like that around. Often this is why he preferred to wrestle the bigger guys because there no way for him to get sympathy with a guy half his size like Rody Piper, Jake the Snake, Million Dollar Man, Bret Hart etc. He needed guys like Bundy, Andre, Mosca, Earthquake, Yoko etc. A few of my favourite Hogan moments:

One of my fav bands as a kid…RIP

I’d argue he did more for wrestling than anybody. Andre, Flair, Austin etc. A childhood hero of mine, losing Marv will sting like this one.

He was a regular on King of the Hill too. Peggy loved her some Chuck Mangione

Thank Jesus! This makes up for getting skunked again with camp tix 😂 -
Hawes has the size we need. The new Knox

Who’s the guy not named Allen that really takes off? Barger for the Blue Jays is a great example, kids gonna be a star. When I look at the Bills I’m thinking Jackson, Walker and Strong. Possibly Hawes. Walker is going to get the opportunity, same for Hawes. I think they both really light it up at home but we’ll see

We were there 10 minutes after open and waited 90 minutes. I will say tho it was worth the wait. Took two bottles of sauce back to ontario happily

For me I finally made it to nine eleven tavern. Best wings I’ve ever had by far. Have to get this out of the way…911 was down a cook or two and we were told at the door 90 minutes for wings. If you go there no AC so be warned, and i’d imagine like BarBill these are one of the untouchables on gameday. If ya’ll are watching Sunday Night Football, what’s your go to for the Ravens? I Got Nine Eleven sauce for the wings and probably doing smoked ribs and texas twinkies. Go Bills

Marv Levy, the countdown to 100 years old! (August 3, 2025)

Jim Kelly single handedly said Marv was the guy the got them up every week…if I’m not mistaken Belichick referenced Marv several times in his book also. Legend taking the field for his 100 -

Best Marv quote ever ”The next day out on the field, it was an extremely warm day in Buffalo…and it was a terrible practice, they couldn’t wait to get off, but I was really angry that they didn’t come back fighting better than that. Called a meeting after practice…and told them a story, that I had learned from my own father, who had been a member of the marine corps during world war one. Fought at the battle of Belleau Wood. The marines were very exhausted and their commander said we are going to attack now, and the marines were unbelieving, the commander looked in their eyes and said “when it’s too tough for them, it’s just right for us”. So I relayed that story to the players…and I said “tomorrow it’s going to be hot, and you’re going to be tired, and I’m going to be tired…but, I at least am going to go out there 100% and if you don’t…I’ll just know that when it’s too tough for you, it’s just right for me” -
Where does Khalil Shakir rank in terms of NFL WRs?
Billsfed1 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a stats guy in this evaluation, but purely going off the eye test his hands are elite…he’s fast enough when he needs to be and to me his ceiling is Wes Welker/Julian Edelman in their prime. -
The one thing i’ll say for Hamlin if he does win…he’s one tough son of a B word mentally. Obviously with his story, clawing and scratching to make it last year, the big plays that he did have last year were huge, timely plays. The big interception against Jacksonville that brought everybody to their feet, raking the football away from Lamar in the divisional round etc, he seemed to be around the football in big moments. Def has a lot to work on his game, but if he makes it I can see why.

Unicorn QB. For the 17 years of despair, we more than paid our price for that lol.

If Damar didn’t make the team I wonder where he would go. For some reason I’m picturing him in a Cowboys helmet.

I think this is the most interesting camp battle to watch in 2025. You can go down the 90 man roster and pretty much pencil in 95% of the guys that make it, but I feel this is one of those spots that’s truly up for grabs. Assuming McDermott only keeps 4 safeties, who doesn’t make it? I think Rapp, Bishop and Lewis are all a lock (McD loves him some Cam Lewis). Is Damar’s knowledge of the playbook the deciding factor, or does Darrick pick up the concepts quick and shows a little more athleticism in camp? I’m just trying to figure out if Forrest is this years camp version of MVS.
