As opposed to the All world crew of Robbie Andersen, DJ Moore and ummm Curtis Samuel?? I mean obviously you are not wrong that this group of receivers suck But to imagine they are incapable of collecting more than 10-15 yards a game each is plain crazy The scheme / OC / play calling / clock control obsession / whatever is clearly playing a handicapping role 100% - I am surprised at knowledgeable people drinking the Kool-Aid on this one - as though it would be impossible to have a functioning passing attack with these guys. Brady is just not that good at it, and the low talent makes it worse

Non-Josh Keys to Making a Deep Playoff Run
ScottishBills replied to Andrew Son's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you think that is realistic? By which I mean, can you be Superman but only some of the time? Or is it innate in Superman to be Superman all the time? Feels like last season Josh more or less found that sweet spot to be fair - but i have some sympathy with him if his issue is that its tough to just turn it on with a remote - you are either in that flow head space or not -

I agree 100%- but dont think there is any chance of this - at least overall First - Josh cant resist 🤣 Second - its unlikely we will magically stop with the slow starts - so we can certainly expect (i a scenario where we win 2 or more games) to be spotting the other team a 10-14 point start - its who the (2025) Bills are Third - Josh cant resist! Fourth - playoff games are different - people seem to forget this every year - they just hit different, they are played differently What does worry me though - or annoy me some weeks - is why we wait until we are in that hole to go to this Plan B It should be Plan A. It used to be plan A, and we came up short in part due to lack of run game / inability to work the clock (McD is right in principle about that) Why we insist on going to the other extreme is what is annoying - why cant we execute Plan A+B - series by series, opponent by opponent Heck - even Philip Rivers came out second game and threw it all over the yard for the first two series, because the opposition just expected the run -

Underrated point - drives me crazy! Its a team - get him back up, get him fired up, ready to go fix it Not sat on his own contemplating how to be "not too high, not too low" Fire up the jets!!! -
18 years at BAL Bro should take a year off, do some well paid TV work, come back next year. Why jump straight back in? Take the chance to refresh

Won't pretend to know too much about OC / DC level guys but instinctively I am surprised someone would be excited about 2 guys who just got sh1tcanned? Now if we came back with Klint Kubiak and Jim Schwartz I would be excited! (Annoyingly they still have jobs 🤣 and may even get HC jobs I suppose) McD might be with you after I read this quote: “I think when you go through these seasons, it’s always best to start with yourself, point at yourself and then figure out what you could do better and then collectively what we could do better,” Kingsbury said ahead of the team’s Week 18 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. “But there’s a ton of different decisions I wish we would’ve made and I would’ve made more, just like individual play calls than anything … trying to slow the games down, limit possessions, do things of that nature.”

Schefter reports McD’s job is safe “for now”
ScottishBills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ooft, 4D chess 🔥🤣 We then trade for BTJ who becomes the greatest blocking WR in history whilst collecting 55 catches for 240 yards on screens -

Ray Davis double doink on an extra point to take the Superbowl to OT as time expires. Book it!!! 🤣 -
Wonder if the ones who sort of look safe - say McDaniel and Gannon level - are impacted by the firings of Stefanski or any others to come I.e. Dolphins would keep McD but then see Stefanski and go actually let's not keep McD after all Or Harbaugh goes and suddenly 3-4 teams who were happy to stand pat decide to go for Harbaugh instead

Excellent Joe B article on impact of Cole Bishop (positive)
ScottishBills replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bishop has been so much fun to watch since around the Saints game when it all seemed to click, amazing in the Chiefs game 🔥 This is actually more the issue than anything else though right? Not necessarily demanding the same results as Bishop, but those top draft picks ideally develop into (at least) the new middle classes of your team and they just haven't on the whole for probably 3 years now I.e. if Coleman was any good (or even active!!!) DeWayne Carter should be helping at DT, We've seen nothing and then injured. If Dorian Williams was doing anything beyond the absolute basics. If Landon Jackson or TJ Sanders showed any sign at all of being NFL contributors If Kincaid was doing McBride or Bowers type things CyBo is probably the only one other than Bishop in the last 3 years to do it. And Hawes has started like a house on fire of course 21+22 we had Brown, Shakir, Cook, Bernard, Rousseau, Benford develop into top line producers. Since then, very slim pickings. The Eagles D would also be hot garbage, but they drafted the right guys when they spunked all their picks on D - Quinton, DeJean, Carter, Davis, Mukuba, Nolan Smith Some of them even high picks by a GM who knows how to get up the board when he needs to find blue chip players. Not trading down and getting two ***** players -
Around the NFL Week 16 (Keep the Bills chatter out please)
ScottishBills replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just wants to win more than other people. Nothing wrong with it. *Seriously good catch from him though -
Hopefully that is why Daquan is missing a game - just grab some rest where you can - given it will be pretty difficult to lose this game either way If its more than that - oh boy - because he is just about the only consistent thing going on at DT
