  1. Been thinking about this a lot. I think the trumpers know the danger he represents as well. But he "listens to them" when no one else will. They're losing the game under the current rules. They don't believe they can ever win. They're unconcerned with the danger he represents because they want the game changed and the tables upended however it needs to happen. Then they will finally have a "voice". either that or they're morons, heavily influenced by a bunch of charlatan propagandists...
  2. This is exactly what frustrates me so much about trumpers. Facts and logic mean nothing. And the result is a national crisis created for the sole benefit of a single criminal and traitor. The details concerning the fake electors schemes in various states and the painstakingly documented timeline should convince everyone of the presence of a conspiracy to overturn the election. But it won't. These folks, consciously or not, still threaten democracy in our country. Absolute lunacy.
  3. Talking head lawyers are saying Pence will testify against trump. Must see TV for sure.
  4. With Georgia pending

  7. We watched this last night. Visually amazing. The universe is massive. Not much directly relating to UFO's except the vastness https://www.netflix.com/title/81473680
  8. Heard this on a spotify mix. Now I need to make some
  9. but I never did house calls...
  10. if I were to do a house call on a leper I'd wear full gear. Why take a risk.
  11. i'm avoiding armadillos at all costs! and anyone yelling "unclean" and ringing a bell.
  12. The CDC published paper actually is making the opposite point: that leprosy is now endemic in Fla. Keep in mind the lead author is a soon to be intern in derm with an interest in world health and infectious diseases. Think we should all wait and see what the experts in Leprosy disease think...of course, if they don't believe the experts, they're on their own to do their own research.
  13. looking to see if any data on masks and leprosy - not that I could find. not suggesting floridians wear them but this seems like good advice: Transmission | Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) https://www.cdc.gov › leprosy › transmission For general health reasons, avoid contact with armadillos whenever possible.

  16. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/4129366-leprosy-cases-surging-in-central-florida-cdc/ another reason to avoid Fla...leper colonies. would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.
  17. of course they need to be considered as a baseline. can't see the entire article to confirm but if they didn't it's a serious flaw. i'll wager they did.
  18. covid vs precovid excess deaths in R's are 2 separate issues that do need to be untangled. I didn't read the Yale article closely enough to see if they considered it. I'll bet they did. I've worked in a couple rural hospitals that I'd much prefer to some of the city ones I trained in. Differences in hospitals are a factor. Just not THE factor.
  19. the raw numbers are what they are. the conclusions are opinion. how do u explain the raw numbers? Don't u see? we are trying to help but u constantly throw it back in our face. Of course, there is self interest involved: We don't want the next pandemic to be worse.
  20. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2023-07-31/bronny-james-cardiac-arrest-recovery-lebron-james-usc seems briny is doing well. Looks like he received excellent care from skilled physicians. But they're likely elitist with a political agenda and u wouldn't want to associate with them. why do u ask? and yes, I see what spell check did and it's ok. It was a salty answer.
  21. If I were to make an argument against the JAMA article it would be that these results could confound the Yale study: https://www.bmj.com/company/newsroom/study-finds-widening-gap-in-death-rates-between-us-areas-that-vote-for-democratic-rather-than-republican-party/ R counties had worse healthcare outcomes before the pandemic. It seems self harm is inherent in that population. Perhaps they don't like themselves very much. no idea.
  22. wasn't aware that was my seating assignment. But, cool!. Cool is good these hot days.
  23. The sun is the sun. It hasn't changed. It appears we don't have a mechanism to do that. But the ozone layer...
  24. try this one: https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/political-party-affiliation-linked-excess-covid-deaths I only scanned it and it's the first that came up from a search of "covid deaths by political affiliation". Try for yourself. maybe you can find a rebuttal by Dr Oz, catcrap or Joe Rogan. "If differences in COVID-19 vaccination by political party affiliation persist, particularly in the absence of other pandemic mitigation strategies, the higher excess death rate observed among Republican voters may continue through subsequent stages of the pandemic," the authors concluded. WAKE THE F UP!
