  1. More detail here from the European (British) paper https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2023/sep/08/elon-musk-committed-evil-starlink-order-ukraine CNN on Thursday quoted an excerpt from the biography Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson, which described how armed submarine drones were approaching a Russian fleet near the Crimean coast when they “lost connectivity and washed ashore harmlessly”. The biography, due out on Tuesday, alleges Musk ordered Starlink engineers to turn off the service in the area of the attack because of his concern that Vladimir Putin would respond with nuclear weapons to a Ukrainian attack on Russian-occupied Crimea. Also on Friday, Ukrainian deputy prime minister Mykhailo Fedorov told the Financial Times that Musk shared with Isaacson confidential exchanges about military access to Starlink without permission from Fedorov. “It’s not very pretty,” Fedorov told the Financial Times. “I’ve never shown or talked about our correspondence publicly.”
  2. Nope, the story came out of a pre release of a Musk authorized biography. Apparently there are emails between a Ukrainian diplomat and he concerning the incident. This will be interesting to read. I doubt we will ever know the strings attached to the financial aid provided to Musk from US foreign aid agency and donors or the conditions contracted with the Pentagon, thus we don't know if he'll pull this shite again. But to claim we are basing our deep concerns on biased media or unreliable sources is bs. Musk has already corroborated some of it albeit with a difference in wording between "turned off" and didn't turn on...The distinction is important, in part to show whether Musk is truthful but more importantly, did he stop a service Ukraine was expecting (?entitled to) from the arrangement.
  3. Well reasoned piece. The full Salon article https://www.salon.com/2023/09/08/musk-starlink-and-hypocrisy-elons-benedict-arnold-moment-shows-us-cant-have-it-both-ways/
  4. Wow. From links to the fact that Musk signed military contracts to Nazis. You wanna diagram that regression and cite where "libs' suggest it? sounds more like election denying...
  5. The first link noted funding from a "US Foreign aid" source and donors. We're presumalby talking millions per month so It's fair to assume there was a contract. I don't believe the foreign aid and the donors just threw monet at him with no conditions. Perhaps, the book coming out next week will shed more light.
  6. maybe this? “By not allowing Ukrainian drones to destroy part of the Russian military fleet via Starlink interference, Elon Musk allowed this fleet to fire Kalibr missiles at Ukrainian cities,” said Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “As a result, civilians, children are being killed. This is the price of a cocktail of ignorance and big ego.” or this Musk cut off the access through Starlink, a part of SpaceX that is critical to the Ukraine military’s communication, saying he did so not to be “complicit in a major act of war and conflict escalation.” or this While the decision was criticized by Ukraine, Musk was praised by some leaders connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his decision. Former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Musk may be “the last adequate mind in North America,” and “is the one with the balls.”
  7. Some of the rest of the story including the Ukraine perspective. Seems the cons are taking musk at his word. hardly surprising. https://thehill.com/policy/international/4194233-ukraine-blasts-musk-over-starlink-order-russia-praises-his-balls/
  8. Barring the lava lamp and blacklight are those not common cultural phenomena in India? Jewelry as a hedge is a thing right? Bangles and such. My wife likes the look. She has one that I call her Wonder Woman bracelet. Neither of us enjoy your cinema tho. Seems contrived. So r u gonna show your diploma? just put some tape over the name. Then I'll do the same...
  9. And that would be untrue. Two different centers of higher education. Have a wonderful life.
  10. they do if they attended both dummy. What else would I call that chapter of my training? you really aren't very bright. We have nothing to offer each other. Let's mutually ignore. just for fun tho, what do you call an MD, PhD. doctor doctor? He's a liar just like so many of the other right wingers
  11. You have zero, I mean zero chance of becoming a top Russian propagandist. Ole tuck is the king...although they've turned on him. Be careful. And I hear blacklight and lava lamps and that weird Indian cinema cause myocarditis, well, seizures at least....load up on gold bracelets. The best you can find. None of that "rose gold" or fool's gold.. Meanwhile, Polish generals are readying for war....where's your MD from "Doc"...I'll show u mine if you show me yours.
  12. Poland. and they're getting ready. So is NATO. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/06/nato-should-respond-more-aggressively-russia-polish-general-rajmund-andrzejczak Don't you cons hate China. I certainly don't trust them. But here you are wanting to help them... Andrzejczak also warned that if Ukraine lost the war and Belarus went further into Russia’s orbit, Poland would find that limiting defence spending to 5% of its gross domestic product and a standing army of 300,000-strong would not be enough. “If we lose credibility as Nato, as a civilisation, China is watching, so this is a big game,” he said. You cons are really bad armchair QB's. Why not try your luck on the main board and see how you fare. f'in morons or f'in russian trolls.
  13. The folks I know from Grad school are the best. Some med school buddies but not as close as the chemists.
  14. Sartre was sooooo right...We'd still be using candlelight if we had to rely on the likes of you. Do you use candles in the basement? maybe a blacklight and some incense? Grand Funk Railroad playing in the backround...Go back to the kids table and throw some food. Cheap stuff. Mac and cheese, some spam, beanie wienies, vienna sausages, peanut butter. It'll be fun. Might have to visit Dollar General sooner than expected.
  15. mighty fine...and you're terrible at it.
  16. Let's hear about your accomplishments that your parents are proud of...the paper I'm talking about is in the Journal of Liquid Chromatography. Look it up.
  17. I worked as a bench chemist in a clinical lab for 1 year between grad school and med school. Toxicology, in fact. Honorable work and decent pay. The samples analyzed were in fact urine. Didn't take that long to develop so I also did toxicology using chromatography (HPLC mostly, some mass spec stuff.) Measuring Catecholamines and developed a new assay. Look it up. Learn something. Here, not that you'll have an interest in learning This test measures the levels of catecholamines in your urine. Catecholamines are hormones made by your adrenal glands. They are released when you have physical or emotional stress. These hormones include epinephrine (also called adrenalin), norepinephrine, and dopamine. Catecholamines (Urine) - Health Encyclopedia - URMC
  18. You’re so over your head. You’d never believe anything because you’re a lab tech pretending to be a doctor with half baked understanding of the world. You’ve been so exposed. My pushback was the Musk anti Ukraine narrative- which was so obviously garbage… and it took a couple swipes to defeat instead of 1. lying again. I practiced for over 30 years. Well over 100k patient encounters. Still boarded. License has lapsed because I don't want to pay for something I have no plan on using but it wouldn't take long to get licensed in literally any state. Could go back to work anywhere in the US or many other countries tomorrow. Your pushback was that there were no military contracts. But keep being dishonest. It's clearly your nature.
  19. “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” ― Jean-Paul Sartre Insert MAGA for antisemite. Your parents must be so proud...
  20. So what about the contracts? YOU WERE WRONG. Just like the righties saying they were absolutely certain trump couldn't fire the fed chair. So why should we believe anything you write? Slither back under the rocks...
  21. "The country's military"...but show what a jackass you are. The second link discusses a new military contract with the PENTAGON The first may well have been with the CIA. your guess is as good as mine on who the "private donors" were... I don't hope to educate you either. You have your mind made up and your set narrative and no actual news or facts will change that.
  22. Yes, link some relevant info to support your point. Cuz I have and the righties like you ignore it.
  23. Well the first issue is that you wrongly said there was no military contract. The next is that he squelched a potentially devastating drone attack on Russia by shutting down starling. Are you being opaque for fun or just because your can't read? Not my writing. Reuters did a fine job you just ignored it.
  24. and this "SpaceX, through private donations and under a separate contract with a U.S. foreign aid agency, has been providing Ukrainians and the country's military with Starlink internet service, a fast-growing network of more than 4,000 satellites in low Earth orbit, since the beginning of the war in 2022." US foreign Aid agency and private donations. Hmmm...CIA?
