  1. interior DL goes from weakness to STRENGTH in a hurry. Do it. Those 3 will make each other stronger with the competition. with rotation, gives us a chance to keep the big guys fresh. Grant, West Oliver, Collins Ogunjobi suspended / DT5 Carter inactive DaQuan released Of course, this is unlikely to happen....but it shouldn't be. We have Ed Oliver and no one.
  2. Draft Buzz on REVEL: The 6'3", 193-pound boundary corner burst onto the scene in 2023, transforming from a special teams ace into a shutdown artist for the Pirates. After working the graveyard shift at Amazon to chase his football dreams, Revel showed up at an ECU camp, ran a blazing 4.40, and jumped out of the building with an 11-foot broad jump. The Pirates took a chance on the JUCO product, and that bet paid off in spades - until a cruel twist of fate struck in September 2024 when he went down with an ACL tear in practice. Before the injury, Revel was making waves as a potential top-15 pick, putting together a highlight reel that had NFL scouts burning up the phone lines to Winston-Salem. His 2023 campaign was a masterclass in defensive back play - 54 tackles, 12 pass breakups, and the kind of special teams impact that makes coordinators giddy, including two blocked kicks to close out the season. Draft Buzz on PORTER: The ceiling here is a legitimate starting corner who can match up with the NFL's new breed of supersized receivers. His combination of length, speed and ball skills is exactly what teams are looking for on the outside in today's game. While age is a minor concern, Porter's rapid development curve and elite athletic traits suggest he could develop into a quality starter by year two. Day two feels like the sweet spot for a corner with his unique skill set and immediate special teams impact. The 6'2", 197-pound corner closed out his Cyclone career with 51 tackles, 3 interceptions, and an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection, but the raw numbers only tell part of the story. His impact was felt beyond the box score, as Iowa State reached two Big 12 Championship games and five bowl games during his tenure. Porter's academic achievements, including multiple Academic All-Big 12 honors, speak to his dedication to improvement both on and off the field. Both noted as ST impact = likely high on Bills CB rankings
  3. Revel or Porter certainly would seem more likely now. At least 1 should be available around pick 50 where we could do a small trade up if we felt inclined. both players are 24 however
  4. Short arms, not very tall....but he looks wide and his speed + vertical is pretty impressive CJ WEST, Draft Buzz: Scouting Report: Strengths Exceptional leverage player who maximizes his natural low center of gravity to anchor against double teams far better than his measurables would suggest. Processing speed jumps off the tape—consistently identifies blocking schemes pre-snap and reacts with decisive first movements to counter offensive designs. Plays with violent hands that shock and separate blockers, showing surprising strength to knock back centers and guards with initial punch. Moves laterally with surprising quickness, proving nearly impossible to reach-block when playing on the edge of centers in zone schemes. Gap-slashing ability creates consistent backfield penetration, timing his bursts to slip through cracks in blocking assignments like water finding holes in concrete. Routinely splits double teams with textbook "kickstand" technique and low pad level, attacking half-a-man to negate two-on-one disadvantages. Displays exceptional competitive toughness, never satisfied with simply occupying blocks and consistently working to disengage and pursue plays outside his gap. Shows enough lateral quickness and change-of-direction ability to redirect in tight spaces, making him more than just a stationary run-stuffer. Scouting Report: Weaknesses Length deficiencies (31½" arms) show up when attempting to control blockers at extension, forcing him to win immediately or risk being engulfed by longer linemen. First-step explosiveness is merely adequate, limiting his ability to consistently beat blockers off the snap in passing situations. Pass rush arsenal remains underdeveloped, relying primarily on bull rush and arm-over without consistent counters when initial moves are stalled out. Tackling efficiency concerns show up on tape, with several missed opportunities to finish plays that he created with initial penetration. Can occasionally lose discipline and freelance outside his gap responsibility, creating vulnerability in otherwise sound defensive fronts. Scouting Report: Summary Put West in a one-gap, attacking front and watch him thrive as a disruptive early-down specialist. His innate ability to maintain leverage and shed blocks translates immediately to the pro game, particularly in systems that value penetration over read-and-react responsibilities. The film shows a player who consistently creates chaos against the run but needs technical refinement to impact passing downs consistently. His lateral quickness and hand violence will earn him playing time from day one in specific packages. The tape against blue-chip competition reveals a defensive tackle who won't back down from anyone. When facing elite interior offensive linemen from Michigan and Ohio State, West more than held his own—consistently controlling his gap and often creating penetration that disrupted offensive timing. The extraordinary transformation of Indiana's run defense during his lone season speaks volumes about his impact between the tackles. His game carries a workmanlike quality with flashes of dominance when his technique aligns with his natural power. Day three of the draft should yield several quality interior defenders, with West positioned to become one of the more impactful in the right system. His combination of run-stuffing prowess and developing pass rush ability makes him an ideal rotational piece with starter upside. Three years from now, we might look back at West as a player whose impact far outpaced his draft positioning—a gap-controlling force who developed just enough rush ability to stay on the field for all three downs. just looking at photos of West, he at least looks the part of a higher tier DT IMO He is a wide load who looks strong and in shape. His arms despite being short are massive would love him in Round 4
  5. lot of cap penny pinchers on this board who love to feign outrage. A tiresome act
  6. Cook + 4th someone may give a 2nd I'd gladly draft either player...in Round 2
  7. Awesome thread!!! if CJ West makes it to the 4th, take him. how is Nolen not in the speed category. I thought he ran like a 4.85 or something? absolutely. There’s really so many DT’s that I like in this draft Carter is a fringe player until proven otherwise.
  8. Sweet! Tre is 2nd Team All-Pro this season now
  9. No. Dane is a fringe player. Ingram has actually made plays when given the chance. He’s a darkhorse for CB2 IMO Benford White Ingram Dane
  10. for heaven sake what do you not understand about “up to” It means his guaranteed $ is almost certainly far less than what Adam S reported he’s 30. Not over 30
  11. I wouldn’t underestimate this. Tre may be a very solid CB2 if he wins the job sometimes guys just play better in a certain environment / system he’s certainly loved by the team here
  12. I wonder if Beane used Bradberry visit as leverage to convince Tre and his agent to sign before the draft?
  13. Immediate CB3, maybe wins CB2 in camp…keeps Dane planted on the bench Tre vs Ingram vs Rookie(s)
  14. He’s 30, hope he is healthy and maybe he is solid younger than other options
  15. NICE!!! I wonder if moving him to FS would be considered. Either way, hopefully he’s healthy and can compete for CB2 / help mentor a rookie
  16. 4 Round DT Overhaul + CB2 + WR Speed Vertical Threat A few players I don't usually draft / aren't available at those picks
  17. If we don't add legit size & power to the IDL we may as well forfeit the season we've managed to build a fantastic OL time to get the DL locked down
  18. I'm not interested in trading back if any of the following are available Nolen Grant Harmon Golden Any other player we have a legit 1st round grade on. I'd rather stay at 30, or trade up a few spots. Keep both 2nd's. Use the 4th's and 5th's to move up into the 3rd. This is madness. My goodness if we're going to draft a Punter....please take Desmond Watson in the 6th instead.
  19. 30 - Grant 56 - Hendrickson 62 - Porter 109 - Caldwell SEND IT
