Our receivers SHOULD feast on the Chiefs secondary. Not much experience there at all. Obviously saying and doing are two completely different things.

And do explain exactly how Smith doesn't fit with "how we run our defense". Edmunds plays MLB and his role is the same here as it would be anywhere else.

If our line was actually decent at run blocking and the backs were still laying an egg, I'd be more inclined to agree we need a change, but that's not the situation. Our line is terrible at run blocking.

The only people I know of that don't think Smith is better than Edmunds are the same people that have never watched both of them play.

Yeah, I can. I can see him being tackled for little to no gain just like our other backs who are running behind the worst run blocking win % line in the league.

Smith can do what Edmunds does and does it better. I'm assuming you don't know much about him based on that comment. Smith leads the league in tackles and is arguably the most complete MLB in football.

Running behind this line? No, I don't. And I'm not willing to give up a first-round pick to see if I'm wrong either.

I would love it if Beane could make something happen with Roquan Smith. And yes, I would give up Edmunds to do it.

Who said it did? Difference is Allen is already on our team and signed for many years to come. CMC is on another team and Carolina apparently has a high asking price.

If Carolina is dumping salary, why would they want to take on Edmunds, who's a FA at the end of the season and will demand big $$$?

Bringing in CMC doesn't guarantee anything and if you don't win it, you have no championship or a first round pick.

Why would they or anyone else in the league want Moss? The consensus here is that he sucks. So why in the same breath do we think he has any value to another team?

Very True. I just don't understand the thought process of wanting to bring in a big name RB to run behind the same O-Line that just isn't a very good run blocking line.

Amen. Where's the calls from people to trade for an O-lineman? We do have the worst run block win % in the entire league after all and that's not the fault of the RB's.

Those are scrambles, not designed runs, so not really the same. We are not a running team and never will be behind this O-Line, no matter what RB is back there. Worst run block win % in the entire league. We don't even really try to establish the run because every carry takes the ball out of Josh's hands.

It just reeks of desperation for people to want to give up our 1st round pick to bring in an injury prone RB, when we have the best offense in the league and our QB, by himself, has more total yards than 3/4 of the league.

Did you just compare CMC to Bruce Smith? 🤣 Someone's definitely on something, but it ain't those of who think the asking price is too high if they already turned down our offer.

If ANY team is willing to give up their 1st round pick for this guy I will be very surprised.

Even if he wasn't injured a lot, still not worth it. Bringing him here doesn't guarantee we win anything. And if you fall short, you're now left with nothing if he's just a 1/2 season rental (unless we plan on paying his $12M/year salary next year) and we'd be out a 1st round pick for our troubles.

If it's nationally televised the BIlls will be on. We normally get Jacksonville or Miami in this market. -
CMC is NOT worth our 1st. Especially if he turns into a 1/2 season rental, which is a very good possibility given what he's due to make next year.

Not if they've already turned down another offer and there are several other teams looking at him. He's going to go to the highest bidder here.
