  1. Mahomes, he strikes me as a poor sport, he's Mr. Humility when things are going well and a whining baby that blames others when they're not. That "we play between the whistles" comment after the Detroit game was a joke also. Also the fans, especially when they yell "Chiefs" at the end of the national anthem and the tomahawk chop they copied from Florida State.
  2. Can we pump the brakes slightly on the Pats? They look solid but they've beaten Carolina, New Orleans, Cleveland, Miami, Tennessee and then us. I'm not ready to pencil them in for 14 wins quite yet. We've been in this same boat with Miami's hot starts back when the league had no idea to what to do with Tua/McDaniels and that offense was running roughshod on everyone. Remember Miami's 70 point game? Sustained success like that is rarely seen in the NFL once the league adjusts to your fastball.
  3. "We have a slogan we made up -- Just Do It" - Patrick Mahomes, probably
  4. Josh has a 108 rating with no turnovers and we win by 30+: "Why are Josh's screens messing up his game? Can't he just throw it normal?" Good lord.
  5. McD has clearly lost the team
  6. Literally no one is asking for this. We just want to be able to have more than one topic of conversation ("McBeane sucks at everything they do!") every thread, every week for 17-20 straight weeks when there's nothing the team can do RIGHT NOW to change anything. Save it for the offseason
  7. I understand this is yet another "McBeane cant build a roster" post, but stating that having an MVP quarterback wins you a lot of games and makes you a contender isnt really much of a point. Also, prior to this year we have a fantastic average margin of victory and have had many, many blowouts. You dont do that without a competent team.
  8. To those stats, we've gotten to go against the Jets, Miami, Saints, Falcons...not exactly a murderers row of quarterbacks. In past seasons we'd have shut all those teams down and probably limited Maye more. The eye test in that Falcons game was pretty rough for me. To your point about the players though--yeah, it seems unlikely that our entire secondary is just suddenly awful. I'm surprised we're not axing Babich myself, the defense looks about as uninspired as the offense did at the end of Dorsey's reign. And we've seen how the same group of players can suddenly come alive with schematic changes
  9. Everyone take notes, this is how you do a negativity post. So much better than "Yeah but chiefs playoff superbowl fire mcdermott hur dur"
  10. Trying not to overreact, but man, Cook being out the entire 4th quarter was pretty damning. It was a one score game, we didnt have to throw at all. And for all the talk about Cook's poor blocking being the reason he sits, we still couldn't block or pick up a blitz at all with him on the sideline. I'm glad it wasn't another "oops we shot ourselves in the foot!" loss. That beatdown will force some hard conversations. How we come out of the bye will be very telling.
  11. Hey everyone that says we're too conservative.....that's what happens when we run the ball well
  12. This. Its exactly the same as dorsey..the personnel has barely changed and we just keep getting worse
  13. Its halfway thru the first quarter! Lol
  14. We got shut down, yet still somehow out-gained the Pats, rushed for over 100 yards, had more first downs, and better third down efficiency, even after turning it over 3 times. Curious.
  15. Oh no youre just in time, I just read someone call our offense "Jauron style"
  16. I can guarantee you the team mentality is not desperation and concern like half the fan base. We've been in way bigger holes than 4-1 and coming off a 3 point loss. Unfortunately for the fan base they've shown that anything less than perfection and obliteration of every opponent is cause for concern
  17. The only thing Josh has signaled being upset with is fairweather, whiny fans like the ones that left the stadium early vs. the Ravens (who probably left to get a head start on getting home and complaining on their favorite message board)
  18. lol...yeah, if you're a total chicken little. I was hoping 36 hours would be enough to be able to come back to the board, guess we'll give it a few more days
  19. My thought is on Bobby Babich. Is it time to get concerned? When Frazier and Mcdermott ran the D, we had injuries, we played backups, but we always finished top ten in most categories. Since Babich has taken over it feels like a slow decline into total mediocrity and lack of identity, not unlike that second year with Dorsey when eventually the offense just hit a wall and was done. I remember at times when Frazier would struggle, McD would step in and help get the ship righted. Will that happen here and how much leash is left for Babich at this point? Or was our past success really just having an incredible secondary in their prime?
  20. "23 points is basically the same as 30" is a new one
  21. Yeah sure ho hum 30ppg, do points even count if we're not throwing ten deep balls a game? Do better McBeane!!!!1+!11! All kidding aside, it's incredible how effortlessly we score 30 points a game and how it can feel disappointing at times. We're really fortunate to be experiencing this era and we deserve it.
  22. Oh no, the 15th (and dropping) highest paid defensive end in football who was playing on a line cycling rookies and without its best player didn't dominate a QB throwing quick outs and screens in week 3. Dooooooooomed
  23. Geez can't believe that was so easy against the Ravens-lite 🙄 GO BILLS
  24. Do we struggle with the read option, or do we struggle with the combo of Henry and Lamar (like almost everyone else)? We even used to handle Lamar the first few times we played him, pre Henry. I'm honestly asking, because I don't recall other read option schemes or scrambling QBs giving us fits.
  25. Good. He should. A lot of this fan base has forgotten what made us great and turned into a bunch of whining ninnies
