I had a lunch to go to last Sunday that coincided with the second half (I’m on the west coast, halftime is 11:40am or so). It was my mother in law’s birthday (my father in law apologized profusely for not checking the bills schedule). It’s the first time I’ve missed more than one or two snaps of a game in decades. Long story short, Josh’s elbow is my mother in law’s fault.

And most people had us at 6-2 right now, only difference is they were going with losses to the rams and chiefs. the standings will matter in 5 weeks. If we lose Sunday it won’t be the end of the world. If we lose Josh for a long stretch, it will.

McD has the worst seat in the house to make any of those calls. It’s like going to a game and having first row seats - we all know you have to watch the Jumbotron to see what the hell is going on. The guys in the booth have multiple 8k screens in front of them.

For those that said they aren’t hugely concerned with Keenum starting for us, quick question: why aren’t you hugely concerned with Kennum starting for us ? 98.3%* of our offense is Josh Allen. *I made that number up, but it’s high.

So the options are play him against a team that would be a struggle anyway, or let him sit and nearly guarantee a loss against the Vikings but give Josh an extra week. I vote the latter 100% of the time IF an extra week can do anything for this type of injury. Basically guaranteeing a loss with Keenum in sucks, but a lingering injury for Josh could be franchise changing as hyperbolic as that may sound.

Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been to many away games myself - a group of college friends and I all meet at a destination every year since everyone moved across the country over the years. Recently, Jacksonville (we wanted to see an easy blow out win …. 😒) KC this year, Baltimore a few years ago, Miami, etc. But the best was Tennessee. It was equal parts amazing for us and embarrassing for their fans. My bad for assuming the Jets fans were being *****. I for one think Josh still has MVP wrapped up. In fact I think the fact that the team crumbles when he has an off day highlights how he is the most valuable player on the best team in the AFC.

I have to assume at that game, MVP chants were sarcastic taunting.

Things were just a little too happy in Bills fandom world. A horrific loss and JA injured? The football gods are righting the ship. Back to heartbreak and dejection. Or, maybe it was just one really bad game that we have every year and Josh will be 100% tomorrow. Vikings game will tell us everything we need to know about how the rest of this season goes, assuming Josh plays of course. If he doesn’t,… go Sabres.

I’m glad we’re all back to nervous energy. The positivity felt wholly unnatural.

Of all the times McD has thrown questionable red flags, I can’t believe our coaches in the booth didn’t immediately tell him to toss it. That scrum happened fully after Edmunds had the ball and was down by contact.

Meh. One awful game. I was in Jacksonville last year and we still made it 13 seconds from the AFCCG. We’ll be just fine.
