Ha. As others have said, this feels like a re-run of the Bengals game, possibly post season and regular season prior to Hamlin's collapse, as they were running rings round us then. It's pre-season. It should not have a bearing on week one. But seeing similar faults raise their ugly head isn't encouraging.

I know it's pre-season, but I'm dreading the Jets game already. Just do not look ready - and that's just the starters.

To an extent, but I think the Panthers are just a mess in general. Not sure if we can read too much into the Jets off the back of that. They were competitive last year, they will be competitive this year.

I don't really believe the Diggs' ex/friend's ex sex and/or impregnation story to be honest, mainly because Josh made it clear there's nothing personal between Diggs and him. If it had happened I don't think he would have gone out of his way to say that. I was going to say he would beat around the bush but...

At which point Diggs would self combust at Josh taking his job away from him.

Ah ok. That makes more sense. As someone else said before, injury - medication - loss of focus - perhaps wondering is it worth playing through the pain - his morose attitude put pressure on his relationship at home, resulting in more pressure - Hamlin's collapse adding to the "what's the point" spiral, considering financially he's set for life. I can see it. Diggs could be wrong, and his venting is wrong, but I can see why Josh may have become stuck in a rut last year.

Though the second line is key - frustrations started around October 2022. It's when the offense started to look problematic after an electric start. Most of it thought it was down to Josh's injury, and perhaps it was. I've always said Josh is the best QB in the league bar none when it comes to talent and skillset. But where the likes of Mahomes and Burrow have the upper hand is consistency and a supreme ability to manage situations when under pressure. I'm not sure if it's still the case, but Josh used to throw up before each game.

Where's Josh sleeping with Diggs' ex come from? I thought it was the gf of a friend of Diggs and, even then, it may have been a joker on Twitter?

Why the need to lie about it, though? It’s not an all encompassing important thing whether he was there or not.

Because Diggs ran off instead of talking. Fled the stadium after the Bengals defeat, didn't bother to empty his locked, happily ran around TV studios to bleat before going off grid. Perhaps Josh told him some home truths and he didn't like it.

Depends what else happens through the season. If they sort it out and move on this is a storm in a teacup. If ot continues to brew and fester there is no doubt it will drag the team down.

Diggs is damaging the team, not helping it. Skills wise, of course the Bills will be better with him there. But mentally? Emotionally? I really have my doubts.
