  1. Very close friend who is akin to a brother and would never do that to him. But then, I know the mentality and the reaction if I did. So maybe I'm projecting that onto Josh and Diggs, who have a different mentality and coping mechanism to this kind of thing - if that makes sense.
  2. From the link, the biggest concern for me is the clean pocket accuracy rating - only 19th? Will an improved O Line, which would equal cleaner pockets, help as much as we think? As you say, Zone is very low compared to Man as well. Question is how that can be improved.
  3. To be fair to Big Turk, the post says Josh FEELS he needs to make the big play rather than HAS to make the big play. I think they're saying the same thing as you, but perhaps with a different reason behind it. Is it because Josh doesn't trust the O Line so thinks he has to go with his first read rather than read the field? Or is it because he has basic issues reading the field, no matter the protection, which impacts his game. One would be fixed with an improved O Line. The other will not, though eradicate that excuse.
  4. I mean, I think Josh could join Mahomes. I believe he has the physical ability to do so.
  5. I think the concerning thing is holds up his hands and admits errors, and does beat himself up over them, but there's very little in signs of change or improvement. Is the criticism of Josh this post season any different to what was said about him before the post season in 2021? In 2019? 2018? He had a breakthrough season in 2020, but hasn't hit the same heights since then. Still elite, but the 2020 regular season/2021 post season shows him at his peak. Understandably, he can't get there all the time but he should have the ability to raise his floor.
  6. Thanks. Took it from here; did they overlook Mahomes’ fumbles? 0 did look low! https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-qb-most-turnovers-2022
  7. That’s logical. They have more faith in McBeane being logical than I have at this early stage.
  8. As it is, I think the Bills Mafia hate the Bills. 😆
  9. Think the difference is with Brady, everyone was a servant to the cause. Other than possibly Gronk, who I can’t recall him ranting at, he seemed to have a professional rather than personal relationship with the offense so tirades came across as part of the relationship. Diggs and Josh have made a big thing of being brothers and loving each other, so when one publicly humiliates the other, it is bound to stand out for the wrong reason.
  10. Have to wonder how they've worked that one out.
  11. That's by the QB obsessed media. Doesn't mean the fans should follow suit.
  12. I don’t think the expectation was on Josh in 2018 and 2019. He wasn’t seen as elite calibre. Potential but not elite. 2022 was a meltdown on all sides of the ball. Don’t think it can just be blamed on the QB.
  13. For me, the difference is Josh COULD move to the top premier tier, as his issues are over mentality rather than physical. I think Burrow is at his peak now and won’t improve.
  14. I realise I’m showing a split personality over Josh so to try and clear things up - he’s low in the list of things that are wrong with this team but he has issues which needs to be sorted out. People blame Dorsey for schemes but there have been several occasions where players have been open and Josh has overlooked them. For a guy with his strength he has a surprising issue holding on to the ball, with too many fumbles against his name. He has a disposition for the big play which over-rides common sense. But he has no little to no protection from his O Line and, outside of Diggs, our wide receivers aren’t in the same league as the Bengals and Kelce and Pacheco are or have shown more to their play than Knox and Cook, both who I rate. He has a head coach who is a DC at heart, and has focused the building of the roster on that side of the ball, without learning the lessons of Green Bay. Recalibrate the O Line and get a proper WR2 and we’d see an improvement in our offensive play, about that I have no doubt.
  15. Turnover wise, so fumbles as well as interceptions, Josh had 19, Burrow 15 and Mahomes 12 across the regular season.
  16. Agree to an extent. I definitely think that out of Mahomes, Burrow and himself he has the worst offense to play with and the weakest OL. But he doesn’t help himself. My basic take is he’s physically the best QB in the league but, mentality wise, he trails behind those two. And that’s why it’s irritating - he has it all but he can’t quite compute how to get the best out of himself more often than not.
  17. No. The issue is Mahomes or Burrow seem to have a hideous game and move on. Josh’s errors seem to permeate across a run. Maybe fewer in a single game but they build up across a number.
  18. 😆 You’ve really got it in for Josh.
  19. So was Josh last post season. Indeed, he was more than good enough up to the bye. Would love to know what happened after the Chiefs game as the entire team seemed to go off the boil at that point.
  20. Every QB is going to be prone to a boneheaded error. The issue is Josh seems more boom or bust than the rest. He’s in the top five QBs in the league because of his physical attributes but his mentality is dragging him back. The O Line isn’t helping, no, but he does make more ‘unforced’ errors than his peers at the top.
  21. Just to point out, Josh had only one more turnover this year compared to 2021 (19 to 18).
  22. The big issue is the red zone turnovers. He was so clean there for so long but last year became an issue. But it’s not as if Mahomes was flawless.
  23. How many throws did Josh make this season? How many interceptions? Now compare to Mahomes.
  24. You think we should trade Josh, then?
