I definitely see what you’re saying. That said, even though it took away clock, I believe they played the clock smart. If they don’t make the first down, they don’t give the Niners a lot of time. If the bills were at their 35 or so to start, I’d say waste no clock. That said, they were at their 10 yard line to start so I think they played it smart and then got the best result that they could’ve given the circumstances. Good back-and-forth, bro!

While miracles happen, unless you’re having to win the game, I think any coach is pleased with a FG in that situation. And, it’s not like it was a 58 yarder. They set Bass up for a very makeable 37 yarder. It was as perfect as you could realistically get.

I was thinking similar thoughts. They took enough time off the clock, that if they didn’t get the first down, they would’ve not given the Niners much time left. Once they got the first down, they marched down the field to get the FG. And it all started at the 10 yard line! McD was smiling when he talked about that in the post game presser.
