QBR - Bills 2 Playoff Games Show How Flawed It Is
InEnemyTerritory replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Football players, especially quarterbacks, cannot be explained in easily digestible numbers. There's no WAR for football because everyone on the field - 22 people - have an impact on the play. Allen getting a 50 or a 0 or a 100 is irrelevant IMO -
Baltimore does not have a weakness on defense. They are very limited on O but their front, their secondary, and their LBs are all fantastic. The Bills need to attack this with their strength, Josh Allen's arm. No 3 straight runs up the middle, Daboll. This is the type of game to give Allen 45+ passing attempts. Maybe they'll get an INT or two but the Ravens are built to beat playoff teams 20-13 like they did today (I don't trust the hype of their last few regular season games against some truly garbageous defenses.) If the Bills score 25 or more they win IMO.

This board never shuts up about him... all he does is clown on Allen because that's his schtick and he gets views that way -

I've been salivating over Najee Harris for some time now, especially considering what he can do in the passing game. -

I don't want to think Daboll would be THAT cocky but he may have been saving his reverse-triple-McKenzie-surprise-deluxe for whoever we play next week. For whatever reason he ended up completely abandoning what made the Bills a great team. Looked like he was calling a 2019 offensive game. Very, very strange -

What a nice birthday present (although not for Roberts who had a poor game). Certainly a memorable game. -
The colts fumble that was not called
InEnemyTerritory replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was doing a jig for 5 or 10 minutes while the agonizingly slow refs were deliberating. I felt that if I stopped jigging for even a second it would be a no-call. It was unsuccessful, and my legs hurt. -
Ever had a dream about the Bills?
InEnemyTerritory replied to london_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have had several dreams that the Bills lost games the night after they won those same games. Rarely anything concrete, but I did once have a dream the Mets resigned Bartolo Colon and he gave up 600 runs in two innings -
Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm

I have to say the best comparison I've heard is still that one analyst saying "Brett Favre playing as Cam Newton in Madden" although I think Josh's passing ability is way ahead of Cam at any point in his career -

They're down by so much... I'm usually optimistic but I'm not sure if the boys can come back in this one. Time to start looking at the 1992 season -

You've figured it out! That's why his completion percentage was so low in college -

Tua benched again - will start in Buffalo week 17
InEnemyTerritory replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John Miller is still playing??? Good Lord... poor Teddy B. On another note I'm really glad Tua seems like he doesn't have "it." I read some article saying young QBs who get benched in their first year are almost always busts. -

H2H isn't applied for three or more way ties -
For the record I was an anti-Allen guy before the draft; I was convinced by the rule that QBs are always better in college than in the NFL, at least over the past decade. I thought Mayfield would end up the best by far - my ranking went Mayfield, Rosen, Jackson, Darnold, Rudolph, Lauletta, Allen. How wrong I was. But because I am human and stubborn to a fault, I will continue to defer to the rule that non-Josh Allen QBs are always better in college than in the NFL. Seriously! Who's one other example since 2010? So yes, I think teams will continue to fall flat on their faces looking for the next big arm prototype QB, reinvigorated by Allen's success.

Why is everyone so mad about TV personalities doubting Allen? Max Kellerman calls Brady trash. There's never going to be agreement.
