  1. I’ll stick with Ian Rapaports account; QB status updates: — #Bills QB Josh Allen in line to start https://nfl.com/news/bills-qb-josh-allen-right-elbow-in-line-to-play-sunday-vs-vikings… —
  2. Bills officials spent intensive time this past week listening to their doctors and other arm specialists, and the team was reassured that Josh Allen is not at any added risk to make the injury worse if he plays today against the Vikings, sources said. -Adam Schefter
  3. Josh Allen (right elbow) is on track to play Sunday against the Vikings, per @RapSheet
  4. Would love to know if the UCL sprain has been medically confirmed by the Bills organization
  5. Thanks Beck, GREAT info. I see what you mean regarding his angle & always thought this was a side gig (he will often reference that his team is “between surgeries”.). Chao is a personable character, he has responded pretty quickly to some of my feed back that I sent. In stating the obvious, those closest to the situation (team docs & coaches) would be my point of reference. McDermott’s “we will use common sense”, is more telling to me than docs watching film & opining.
  6. SIC (Sports Injury Central) email. take it for what it’s worth. They form medical opinions (he is a surgeon) based on film study of injuries similar in style to Kyle Trimble of Banged up Bills. It’s an opinion. McDermotts comment of “we will follow common sense” says more to me than Chao. The promo from SIC; “As an SIC follower you will never miss our expert injury analysis from Pro Sports Doctors to give you the most accurate insider injury knowledge.” Chao states that he is with SICsports.com he introduces himself on his videos as “this is Dr. David Chao with SIC Sports Injury Central.com”
  7. Sure could be. McDermott’s comment that they will use common sense is more foundational.
  8. Josh Allen Not Practicing Wednesday, Unlikely to Play Against Vikings NFL Nov 9, 2022, 12:11 pm (updated: Nov 9, 2022, 5:11 pm) byDavid Chao, MDJerry Hizon MDJacob Sisneros Bills star quarterback Josh Allen will not practice Wednesday as he recovers from a right elbow injury he suffered at the end of the Week 9 loss to the Jets. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said “we'll see” when asked about Allen's status for this Sunday against the Vikings. McDermott's response fits what the Pro Football Docs detailed yesterday: playing Allen would risk further injury to his elbow and likely isn't worth the risk for the team. Allen's elbow injury is not season-ending and will not require surgery at the moment. However, if he plays with a partial tear and is hit in a similar way to his Week 9 injury, this could turn into a full UCL tear and require Tommy John surgery. Buffalo cannot win the Super Bowl in this November matchup, but they could lose it if they play Allen and he further injures his elbow, according to the Pro Football Docs. That is why the Bills are likely to take a cautious approach and start Case Keenum against his former team this week. Sean McDermott: "We believe in Case Keenum." — Alaina Getzenberg (@agetzenberg) November 9, 2022 Buffalo faces the Browns in Week 11 and the Lions in Week 12, thus it would not be surprising to see Allen miss the next three weeks to allow the elbow to fully recover before two divisional opponents in Week 13 and 14. When Allen suffered a UCL sprain in his rookie season, 2018, he missed four games. The hope is this injury will not keep him out that long, but Buffalo would be smart to treat it with the same caution.
  9. Ugh, unfortunately, SIC is fairly accurate. He went on to say that perhaps Allen returns after the Lions game
  10. No Jeudy, With no seamless Cole Beasley replacement this year, perhaps Von’s guarantee on OBJ is truth.
  11. He & Ryan Bates have dominated the bottom position grades on the all 22 coaches film. Chiefs D line will be the best we have faced this year.
  12. A lot of the frustration is a product of our O line. -New scheme -New Coach -Injuries since training camp -Bates moved to right guard -Saffold showing very poorly on the All 22 reports -Either go interior O line in the 23 draft or see if this unit can gel & pick up the pieces.
  13. Bates seems unlikely, Hope I’m wrong. The elbow with Morse is the right arm used to snap the ball…
  14. Very surprised if he plays against the Ravens. More surprising things have happened though
  15. If Trey can get close to his former ability this year & Dane comes back, while Poyer develops Jacquan & our interior D line returns & the right side of our O line returns & our starting center comes back & our WR2 is at full strength….things might be different 😁
  16. Good observation…. He hesitates when he gets harassed all game long & the pocket is not kept clean. Of course as we all know, the heat did not help either. Morse has been quoted as saying “”It’s (the o line) our responsibility to keep the pocket clean for Josh, that way he can settle down & get into a rhythm.” the value of Mitch Morse was definitely highlighted today
  17. This is the most important aspect of the game. Our D line vs. the Phins O line. This is how we win. Yes, so much simpler to say that we don’t know right now. Good post 👍
  18. Howard & Armstead are DNP for the Dolphins. It’s too early in the week to project to game status on Sunday.
