  1. Its not much of a sacrifice..he worked 5pm to 130am...on a normal thanksgiving I eat around 3...we moved it up an hour...and I BTW...he's off today because of the shift last night.
  2. Jim, i get it..but my son(and I a few years ago) has a job that requires a 'sacrifice'. I simply try and make the most of all 365 days and not pretend one day is more important than the others for family time. Yesterday I got food prepped and cooked so we could eat and have him ready by 5pm. Its an adjustment we've chosen to make.
  3. So i just partook in Record Store Day and scored a nice vinyl double album of previously considered lost dead...acoustic show from '70...from the family dog...can't wait to put it on the turntable and ignore my family
  4. Why is shopping and spending time with families mutually exclusive? I'm walking around stores in Philly this morning and there are families shopping TOGETHER.... and they look like they are enjoying the whole holiday experience
  5. My son is working at target tonight...I hope they set all kinds of sales records...I'm all for retail any day of the year
  6. Have we mentioned in this thread how hot Sarah Chalkley is?
  7. Only saw the second half but they do look very good in the early going. These aren't cupcakes that they are beating. Cooney & Ennis make a very nice guard tandem. The bigs fill their roles nicely and will only get stinger as the season goes on.
  8. seriously, if anyone really thought that was real they need their heads examined

  10. saw that one last night...i enjoyed it very much
  11. didn't someone already guess the dentist angle? didn't gregg allman almost go to dental school?
  12. comb it out...oh wait...that's a hickey...
  13. Grant is an absolute beast...needs to chill out on the fouls. Cooney needs to have more ball awareness, those back to back turnovers were horrible. Nice to see Ennis hitting his stride. Meanwhile Dajuan, Rak and Keita just keep plugging along adding solid support. Would love to see Gbinje be more active, but I guess he'll get there. Tough test against Baylor tonight.
  14. if it was through make a wish i am sure they are fully aware of any repercussions or ramifications.
  15. coleman looks better each game. i had to laugh when one of the announcers was commenting on how disappointed he was in CJ's lack of energy the first few games...i talked back to him asking when has CJ EVER displayed any energy or enthusiasm...he simply quietly goes about his business...hell even when his face got busted open, he barely flinched, he got up, walked over to the sideline and that was it....
  16. i thought the same thing...i was shocked...not sure how i feel about vinny(?)
  17. the accident happened 6 years ago... this is a tough call...girl just reacted normally under the circumstances, sad to say the guy had it coming but you don't mess with a driver.
  18. hungry charlies in the late 70's early 80's was great...just on the heels of video games, awesome deli sammies, great cheese fries..then they turned into a micro brewery for a while then back to the old format....great place, great time to be close to drinking age
  19. we have to have a better ownership group in the wings than him...unless of course he hands the reigns over to richie sambuca who in turn hands it over to heather locklear, in which case in favor. link in case anyone cares http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-la-canfora/24275196/jon-bon-jovi-interested-in-purchasing-the-buffalo-bills
  20. Varsity Pizza, almost next door to the dome...if Hungry Charlies was still there the way it was back in the day, that would be awesome...it was lined with video games
