  7. "Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician" apparently found out who the guy is http://www.linkedin.com/pub/mark-selden/45/ab0/65b and then there is this IU fan at the dome last night http://www.nunesmagician.com/2013/12/4/5174582/indianas-zone-inefficiency-wasnt-the-only-thing-that-got-exposed-last
  8. did everyone find this image as disturbing as I did? who the f*** is that behind texiera? looks like a bad bobby moynihan character
  9. i'd like to see more offense from our bigs...dajuan and keita missed at least 3-4 shots underneath. rak played pretty well, jerami grant is an absolute beast but sometimes he tries to go more for the sizzle. Ennis & Cooney are incredible up top in that zone defense...it looks stingier than it did with MCW and Triche...who'da thunk it
  10. just goes to show there's more to the guy than just a ball player. good for him!
  11. anyone get anything good? I picked up the Grateful Dead Family Dog vinyl...listening to it right now and man does it sound great...i know there were some good releases but my budget only (barely) allowed this one. Seemed to be a lot of buzz over the Flaming Lips, Dylan, Civil Wars releases to name a few. Interested to see if anyone got anything good..
  12. yeah i was simply replying to EiL who was saying he couldn't believe it was fully automated...granted i don't think SEPTA ever exceeds 40MPH, whereas the Metro North has speed limits of 70, so it's a whole different animal i guess...regardless it is a very sad thing and probably very preventable...
  13. Not necessarily... I know here in Philly...SEPTA shares the lines with Amtrak and the trains are always slowing down or stopping to allow the Amtrak trains to pass by...the operators have yo be able to control the speed
  14. i am at best a newbie to wine so i need to reply on opinions of others to pick wines, that said, when i was in richmond there was a wine store in midlothian that i used to go into and i would always ask for help, i'd usually say i like semi-dry wines, they would take me to a fantastic selection of wines and to their credit, they always started with the 'affordable' wines and were very honest in their sales pitch saying that a $12 bottle of spanish tempranillo was every bit as good as a $100+ bottle...i really appreciated that...i miss that place especially now that i am stuck in this backwards liquor commonwealth
  15. we all know that camel toe is good for you...how about camel milk...you ever come across it in your cooking adventures? the amish are selling it not too far from me and from what i have read it is supposed to be really good for you... http://lancasteronline.com/article/local/869242_Upper-Leacock-Township-dairy-farmers-keep-herd-of-camels--sell-their-milk.html

  19. nice to hear some old names...i think i read recently that herm harried has gone into the coaching arena, maybe just high school, but if i recall, he is having a successful run at whatever level he is at. always liked the Helicopter found the article about him http://www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/index.ssf/2013/09/where_are_they_now_wednesday_s_2.html
  20. i'm watching freaks and geeks and my favorite scene is on...when lindsay and sam are both at the high school dance and styx' come sail away comes on, sam gets the courage to ask his par amour to dance and lindsay dances with the mentally challenged kid and the pure joy in all of their faces and not caring what anyone thinks...it's how school age kids should be....loving life, dancing like no one is watching...that scene gets me every f***ing time hell it shouldn't even be confined to school age kids, adults should have that feeling 24/7/365
  21. in the woods, on picnic tables...we s**t wherever the hell we want
  22. Black Friday does not imply 'badness'. It is borrowed from accounting lingo. It used to be the day(allegedly) a retailer went from being in the red(operating at a loss for the year) to being in the black(realizing profit for the year).
  23. That's fine but how can you cast judgement on how people spend THEIR time? Maybe people save all year to spend these couple days doing something they personally find important or fun. Maybe they don't care that they are paying for something they can get any other time. Maybe they work hospitality, fire, police and this is their day to shop for Christmas. Sure we see and hear the handful of horror stories, but rarely do we hear how these couple days really make someone happy. I always have my kids on thanksgiving... This year my 2 youngest went with their mom to a family wedding in the opposite direction of me. Maybe others are dealing with similar circumstances.
