Tight End stat sheet as of Dec. 1
QLBillsFan replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the answer to out TE problem is to release our deep threat. This team is better when Brown is on the field. Certainly drafting a speedy rep can support but not time to move on from Brown. -
Yeah CC is a good listen. He’s like Jim Rhome. What is hot today and quick hits that are massive generalizations. He was very pro Darnold during draft time and has reluctantly given JA props on occasion. He sees highlights of games and knows the narrative ( having watched last years playoff vs Texans). These then meet his original narrative so keeps himself right. The only way for that lazy approach to change is for JA to win in playoffs. Stop Superman plays. It’s simple as that. Then CC will say he’s always seen his potential but as he said needs to stop Superman plays.

TE has been up and down. WR group is top 5 or so. Agree on run game. It showed improvement on Sunday. Need to get balance. Seems to me Pats and LAC we ran but pass game was off. Need them both to be in sync.

Romo as full time Brady apologist...
QLBillsFan replied to Jamie Mueller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly KM had 170 yards before the HM drive. He’s talented and elusive but not an elite QB yet. Seems to be a very somber if not disinterested leader. Not surprised at all Cards lost to Hawks and Pats. If not for HM they lose three in row and out of playoffs. He’s good but let’s allow him to evolve before he’s elite. -
Romo as full time Brady apologist...
QLBillsFan replied to Jamie Mueller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady gave Romo long interview before the game. The GOAT gave him access so he can’t possibly call him out. Like his buddy Jim Gray who soft interviews his pal Tommy. It’s all on coaches or receivers. He yells at his OL and has for years. It’s ok in NE where he’s god and they won. He loses and doesn’t shake hands unless he feels like it. He is a robot saying all the right things in forced interviews. But is insincere and it’s obvious. I think he’s got the media doing his dirty work to force out his coach. Bring in McDaniel for next year and he can run all the plays Tommy likes with his pals Gronk & AB. He will be LeBron/GM and bring in castoff Pats RB for dump offs and screens. But it’s a slow demise for GOAT. I for one am enjoying every minute of it! -
Bills FO likely to get poached for GM candidates

Dan Morgan has more than earned the right to be in the mix as a GM. Significantly more experience than Lynch who was a broadcaster post NFL career. -
Let’s consider permanently replacing Milano with Klein.
QLBillsFan replied to M. Wrotto's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about we keep them both ? Offer Milano fair value based on availability. Klein has been really good past 3 weeks. Let’s build the depth if $ work. -
Yeah sarcasm, just has been all Dolphins and Tua for few weeks. Flores has to keep playing Fitz.
-
Yeah but Tua is the man! Better than Herbert so he has to start 😉

Can't figure out Devin Singletary.

RB’s were good today. OL made holes these 2 can play well enough for Bills to win. Only so many Kamara’s. RT is first priority? Would we not resign Williams? Bills have him job when nobody would. Likely he resigns. -
Week 12 Post Game thread Bills vs Chargers
QLBillsFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because every first game match up follows that exact script. Colts were short handed Titans took advantage. Good for them. Who cares about the Titans. 5 games to go in the season is an eternity we are 8-3. Need to improve. Outside of KC and maybe Pitt as clear favorites, Bills are right there. More about Bills improvement then what others are doing. -

And 10 teams missed on him entirely. So JA and TW heck of lot better than Mitch T and missing draft choices for 3 years. -
So as a generational talent should he not have been better with the poor talent and coaching around him? So any strides he has made come from his talent and self improvement. Nothing to do with coaching or additional talent ? With that talent for example he would be also excelling with the Jets ? Just trying to understand the premise of what is being said. Anything short of a SB then should be placed on him not his coaches or teammates because they done matter? Again I’m a huge fan of JA and I’m glad he’s leading the Bills.
-
So now Wyatt Tellar is an all pro. Based in the competition with the Bills he was deemed not as good as the other guys in camp. Really glad he’s done well, you can keep 11 OL on the roster.
-
Love JA but this is a bit over the top. Generational covers about 20 years. He still has areas of improvement to work on. He’s good on the verge of great , but would argue if he had the original McClappy coaches and receivers he would not be where he is at now. I’m glad he’s our QB and all Buffalo but your a bit aggressive with the generational stuff.
-
All good points. I’m saying he’s had about 6 starts at his best position. His potential alone is worth seeing how it plays out. If he doesn’t win the positive in preseason then he does not start.
-
He was drafted in the 2nd round. He will a shot to start in 2021. Has he been great no, but it’s less than a half a season at his more natural position. By this time next season I think we can made more of a judgement.
-
Ok guys I’ve stated JA is a high level talent. You win Daboll sucks and JA would as good with Gase.

Ex Bills TE Logan Thomas Quietly Having a Great Season
QLBillsFan replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pete M great tight end! D lll Wabash where he played B 🏀. Underrated TE and great guy by all accounts. One of very few guys who played college B Ball then NFL. One who did was Chuck Crist from Salamanca who recently passed away. Played B Ball at Penn St, Paterno said he would play QB . Paterno moved him to D and Chuck said no coach I came here to play QB. But football coaches helped him get a try out with NY Giants where after injuries some luck and good play he made the team as S. 6-3 225 in 1972. Big guy who could run. Played 6 years as starter with Giants Saints 49ers. Was Saints D player of year. Great guy!!! I played on a rec team with him when he was in late 30’s unreal athlete and humble guy. RIP Chuck... -

Good for Logan Thomas. I think a couple different regimes had him with Bills. Sometimes the position switch takes time. Love what the Skins did with him throwing. In his last year here didn’t he lay a vicious block against Dolphins 🐬? Kinda like Teller, good players sometimes have success elsewhere when you get better. He’s got enough years in for pension so he’ll be set for life. -
Sometimes you do the best with what you have. His coaching journey has taken him through NE and some time with Saban. He has in fact improved JA. By the way I’m of the camp that JA is good now and destined to be great. He’s got top 3 arm, top 3 elusiveness, top 3 leadership. Just disagree on Daboll sucking as coach.
-
Daboll sucks as a coach is based on what ? His track record is pretty impressive. JA has clearly progressed under his leadership.
