Making things up. CS was injured and now already despite the data I presented Palmer is just a guy. Did you want Metcalf at $30M ? He stated multiple times he attempted to trade up for Thomas. Why are you making things up???
-
So you would overpay for a WR well over 30, give up on a 22 year old who was playing well before injury, and Palmer is part time and not good? ✅ Despite being a top 5 ranked separation WR in the NFL at 25. Our slot WR is just a slot. But we should have moved up just a couple spots for Thomas. Who BB said before and after the draft he tried to get via trade. Can you believe the gaul of the Jags? Having said that if a deep threat WR is available in the 2nd round, the Bills should consider drafting or trading up. Grant is possible at 30. I would be shocked NE is around at 56. If it fell this way, the Bills would be much improved!

I didn’t say anything about stats. Which are often important but don’t tell the whole story. I said he beat the Bills on the road and played well. And led Denver to 2-3 wins over expected in 2023. Last year as you recall he replaced Fields in week 7. I’ll reference that as impacting his stats. The Steelers were better with him on offense than with Fields. He had Passer Ratings of 98 and 95. Ranking 8th and 14th. While not anything but slightly above average it’s well above what Jones gave the Giants. Given that SS is known to hold the ball too long and has an average arm I would suggest Wilson starts. On a relatively bad team he gives The Giants the best chance to win.
-
Wilson actually played pretty well in Denver. Well enough to beat the Bills on the road. Last year he had the Steelers on a roll and then to your point wasn’t very good the last few games. To expect SS to start and do as well Wilson and have more W’s is not something I would sign up for. It will be interesting to see how it plays out 👍

They sent a 7th back. Pats fans were expecting a 2nd 😆.. essentially they traded him for about where they had him. I think it’s pretty clear not enough room in the QB room for two big egos.
-
It’s a combination of Milton wanted to be the starter and maybe not the best qb room. Perhaps not best for the Pats to have 2 young guys wanting the job. The Bills have clear back ups that can help JA and get along with him as well as accepting the role. Milton and the Pats fans both overvalued him. They are in shock they basically got a 6th for him. Vrabel didn’t want him in the building simple as that. Zero since Dak is on the books for $60M

Ok, in a strong QB draft year SS isn’t a first round pick. To say he isn’t good is not accurate. I meant as a 3rd overall pick. Not super athletic, accurate but not strong arm, and holds the ball too long. Perhaps the Raiders are the best fit in round 1. QB’s always go higher than they should. You think SS is more likely to win games this years than Wilson ? I would disagree. Hey but you could be right 👍
-
I would not find it shocking at all. S Sanders isn’t very good. KS is not under big pressure and the Giants like Ward. They didn’t bring in Wilson to sit. Could they take QB’s later in first via trade or 2nd round? Sure.

I think it’s the legitimate concerns. As in do they think he will resign at some point? Or if not will they just tag him. If they are fine with that, to your point they just keep him and don’t draft this year. I’m not an astute enough draft guy to know next year’s group. But if they think he’s gone do they trade him? My guess is this all gets worked out in a new contract. It’s one of the more intriguing aspects of this draft.

FGJr is more of the Davis style runner. Physical between the tackles and very hard runner. If the Bills have legitimate concerns about Cook they likely use a 5th on a home run RB like Smith from SMU or Blue from Texas. It’s just much a talented group this year to wait imho. D needs to get better. With the number of picks the Bills have, a deep S with speed is a potential upgrade. If that means Hamlin or Forrest get cut so be it. It’s possible Forrest has an impact but Bills should not shy away from S in this draft.

Bills halt contract negotiations with Cook

Good points. Davis has more short yardage situations and that drops his average. In no way do I think Davis is as good as Cook. I hope the Bills sign him. -

I think Cook is an outstanding RB. I want the Bills to sign him. But he doesn’t play 3 downs, some of which actually helps his production and longevity. But he’s not worth $15M. Nothing weird about it, just my opinion. -

Again he’s at 4.9 with 50% of the snaps. The Dallas OL is not remotely what it used to be. Not close to the Biils current OL . Do you consider them a contender ? They will be fortunate to win 9 games. -

One thought if I’m advising Cook. And oh I’m not 😆.. to the above thought of the value of $1M now in the future. What is the value of playing with a perennial SB contender? With a top 5 QB and very good OL? A really nice 3year deal that averages $11M a season with significant guaranteed $$$. It replaces his $5M this year by $6M. Allowing his high end contributions with 50% of the snaps for career longevity? His brother was more in the 70% range and it shortened his career. Multiple examples of guys who held out for big $$$ left great situations and were out of those contracts after 1-2 years. Let’s say he goes to a another team like Dallas. Is he better off in 2 years? Not sure 🤷🏻♂️Careful what you wish for. -
With the 8th pick in the TSW 1.0 Mock draft, the Carolina Panthers select Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M. GM-The Panthers will likely try to trade down in this spot, particularly if Jeanty and Sanders are still on the board. Stewart is possibly the most athletic edge prospect in the draft. He’s a potential bust or boom. With a big need at this position the Panthers take a shot. @Kirby Jackson and the New Orleans Saints are on the clock ⏰

Bills Related Draft News & Discussion

But does he have a mancave dedicated to himself? And a Rolls on a rookie contract to attract his next angry GF 🤷🏻♂️🫢.. I didn’t think so 😆!!! -
6 weeks for PED’s. The expectations of injuries. A high pick like Grant and a lower pick to fight it out for a roster spot. Seems like at DT the Bills typically have injuries.

Panthers Bears Steelers

BB on Cb’s who can’t tackle. Think they like Thomas from Florida State and Burke from Ohio State as they are good run defenders. I would think one of those goes to the Bills at 56 or 62.
-
Very good point. Just not sure it’s this year. So I agree either late round this year or relatively early next year.
-
Bills picks-2 DT, 2 CB, 1 Edge, WR, LB, S, OL. DT, CB, Edge/S are first picks imho 🤷🏻♂️
-
Grant does it all.. and it currently is a passing league.
-
You do know that the Bills tried to get Thomas? That has been documented by multiple sources. Douglas was a solid trade I’m just stating the facts.
-
So just sign Benford? What exactly would you have done? Let the rest go and do what? Sign Milton for $21M.. this DT draft is outstanding. I fully expect the Bills to take both a 1 and 3 tech DT. A CB #2 opposite Benford. Then draft or go into FA next year to replace the rest ?
-
That’s fine as an opinion. What exactly what you have done? Provide examples. Traded a 1st for Metcalf and a $30M contract ? Milton Williams at $21M ? Just wondering 🤷🏻♂️
