Random talking head says something about the Bills
newcam2012 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really? You think a 4-5 playoff record is pretty good? That's a 44% win percentage. I'd call that below average. His playoff record, performance, and outcomes are critical reasons why some think it's time to move on from McD. -

Just wondering have you looked up his playoff record? -

There is no sure win in the NFL. NE can beat the Bills even though they stink. -

I'm aware of this thanks Gunner. Just seems like some here are already counting the next three games as wins. Certainly, the Bills should win the next two. The last game vs Miami is a whole different animal. -

I like their chances as well but I'm biased as a Bills fan That's really not what I'm debating though. Right now as things stand, the Bills do have an uphill battle to make the playoffs. I think the Bills are at around 40% to make the playoffs. Facts from previous seasons. Are you ok? Irrational ranters and making up facts? Are you ok? Your post is ridiculous and in bad faith. -

Disagree. The Bills do have an uphill climb. None of the games are gimmies. This season should tell you that. LA just fired their coach. Who knows if that gives them a spark. Obviously, the Bills should win. "F" they better win. NE and BB would love nothing more than to pee in the Bills Wheaties. Division games are usually tough. The Bills should win. Miami at Miami. Surely, you can think this is an easy game. Come on now. The Bills best chance to make the playoffs is to win out. Even if they do they still need Miami to lose a game before they lose to the Bills. Division winners- Buffalo. The WC spots are seemingly more difficult. They will need help and lose way too many tie breakers. Saying the Bills have an upward climb is 100% accurate. Not sure how you can't see that. -

I'm not the one who initiated the what ifs. I'm responding to the what if because you are exactly correct. -

I get what you are saying. It definitely has validity. However, I think fans have different levels of interests and knowledge of the game. For example, my wife sometimes watches football with me. She clearly is not interested in a breakdown of film. She actually likes some of the media people because of their style and personality. I suspect there are millions of these types of fans. Point being these media types you describe have been around for decades doing what they do. Often it's not enough X's and O's. Often it's not something many knowledge fans don't already know. Obviously, the likes of Peter King and others are doing something correct. Or at the very least the have good enough ratings and an audience that generated revenue. Look at Jim Rome or Stephen A as a great example. Your thinking isn't incorrect and I know you are speaking for yourself. However, there's an absolute audience for likes of whom you mentioned. The beauty is we can pick and choose who we watch and ir listen to. -

Don't disagree. Two of my favorites are Greg Cosel and Joe Marino. Dan O is pretty good but I don't like his style. -

Is it possible other fans not being Bills fans might have been educated a little? Is it possible a more casual fan might have enjoyed what he had to say? Also, there are so many media outlets in today's modern era. There's only so much football experts, reporters, or analysts can say without it being repetitive. -

What's I find ironic here is all the negative comments towards King. He gave Buffalo a lot of praise on how good they are. I believe he said they are a top team that no one wants to play if they make playoffs. I guess that part isn't heard because he's on the Bills fans poop list. The missed PI call vs the Giants. The missed hail mary by the Bucs. -

It cuts both ways though. They could have lost to the Giants and the Bucs. Let's be consistent with our analysis. -

Agree. The way I see it is if the Bills lose to LA or NE they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. That game in Miami will likely be a good one. Both teams know each other well. I didn't think it did that at all. No need to go there. What did he say in the video that was inaccurate or biased? -

Some really good input here by Peter King on his podcast. A few things that hit home sort of speak. (1)The Bills still have a difficult challenge ahead of them. The playoffs are in question. Feels weird or not right after the Bills two recent wins. (2) Peter King at the very end almost scolds the Bills and warns the fans. More specifically, he talked about how the Bills squandered wins. (3) Both of them unequivocally talked about how good the Bills are. Admitted they are a top team and how others don't want to face them in the playoffs. In conclusion, listening to this has stirred several emotions both positive and negative. -
A Few Thoughts about the Cowboys Game, in no particular order
newcam2012 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did the Bills make the playoffs? Did i miss something? Are you OK? Making up stuff? Who on here has claimed " Josh Allen will never be high end starter in NFL." -
Mostly true but man McD had his team ready to play and his defensive game plan was excellent. You have to give him his props yesterday. This is coming from a fan who thinks the team is better off going in a different coaching direction. Give praise when praise is due. Now, it's a different picture if you want to look the whole season thus far. However, if the team runs out (which looks to be a distinct possibility) then the season is probably looked at in a positive light.

I'm not missing your point. It depends on how you see and evaluate a football team and it's players. Let me use the Bills team and players of the 90's because I think this best illustrates both our perspectives. We watched hall of famers play weekly and dominant the AFC. The fond memories of watching those teams and players lives on. What a feat to go to four straight super bowls. No need to name names here. I get it!!! However, let's not pretend that there wasn't or isn't something missing. Wide right will never be forgotten nor should it. The super bowl blowouts did happen. The scars if you will have faded but they still exist. Those teams just couldn't bring home the Lombardi. I like to see the whole picture. I'm not here to sling mud on your perspective. It's just different than mine. Most Bills fans are hungry and thirsty for that Lombardi Trophy. That hunger and thirst partly exist because of past failures. The one before I die saying is meaningful. Many on this current team may end of being very special and perhaps hall of famers. Yes their special play with be etched into our memory banks for years to come. We can pass on our memories to others. However, without a Lombardi Trophy their will always be a void. A void that you seemingly casually dismiss...

I get that. There are lots to like about the team. In many ways we Bills fans have a lot to be thankful for. However, I just can't put aside the negatives either. I like to see the whole picture not a biased partial picture. To each it's own. So the "big picture" is only subject to positivity on this thread.

I do enjoy and appreciate the Bills. Yesterday was a great example of this. The Philly and KC games were fun to watch as well. To imply one can only enjoy football if your team wins a Lombardi is really disingenuous. I've enjoyed the Bills regular season wins, division titles, consecutive playoff appearances, and playoff wins. I appreciate all of those accomplishments. Yes football has certainly been fun to watch as a Bills fan for several years now. Not sure how any fan wouldn't concede that. However, I want more! I think the Bills are capable of more! There comes a point where team expectations change. Fans expectations change. Goals change. Take for example the LA Dodgers or NY Yankees. I for one am completely capable of enjoying and appreciating Bills football while still being disappointed and critical. It's not an either or here. The human emotions here aren't mutually exclusive. They can and are intertwined. Gunner, the realistic goal of the Bills for a few years here is a super bowl appearance and winning it all. Pick your reasons why that hasn't happened. The fact remains many of us Bills fan are disappointed the Bills haven't reached their realistic goal. The last three games of Bills football has been really enjoyable, fun, and intense. The pre game anticipation is almost drug like. The next game will be another enjoyable high for me. Win or lose, I will enjoy Bills football and give praises and criticism where I see fit. Isn't that what fans do? Of course, football is entertainment. However, look at the Bills Mafia for example. Look how the community rallies around the Bills. It's entertainment but so much more too. Not sure how you can't concede that. We Bills fans have been yearning for a Lombardi Trophy. One before I die is more and more the sentiment that many Bills fans have. With "superman Allen" leading the way for years the Bills have fallen short. Bills fans deserve better... What's sad is that you can't appreciate the validity of construction criticism. Of note, being critical doesn't make you lesser of a fan.

We've seen this version of the Bills vs Miami in week 4. The team is clearly dangerous when clicking on all cylinders. With that said, this team has also proved they can lose to anyone. It looks as though the Bills are hitting its best stride. They really need to play well.
