  1. Who or what Bills fan is complaining about the win? Come on man stop with that gaslighting. No one is! It's fair game to be critical of poor play and performances. Perhaps not in your mind. Fans and experts and everyone in between analyze games, plays, players, and teams. Case in point, look at Miami and Dallas. What's the common theme? They haven't beat good teams. You have heard this constant theme repeatedly. Based on your logic or thinking flaw that's absurd to go there. A win is a win as you say. You see your hypocrisy? Not all wins are the same. Another illustration would be the Chiefs. Their offense is not very good because of their poor WR core. They are beatable. The AFC looks softer and there is no dominant team. Well the Ravens are sitting atop and winning as are the Flacco led Browns. All and all the win yesterday was huge. We recognize that fact and are greatfull. A win is a win is partially correct. However, as a fan I recognize the Bills have to play much better in order to make a deep playoff run.
  2. I was foolish enough to think the game wouldn't be very close. I didn't envision that kind of game. Maybe I'm just not that smart.
  3. The excuses shouldn't fly whether the Bills won or lost Thurman. This was a much bigger game for the Bills than the Chargers. Let's get real here. Not seeing looks, schemes, or formations from the opponent is no excuse not to execute and make proper adjustments. I'm not buying this hogwash either. The Chargers had a B team offense on the field. A nobody QB and a bunch of mediocre WRs. Eckler whose having a down year was their only legit weapon. The Chargers D is nothing special especially against the run. This Bills team should have steamrolled the Chargers. They were 13 point favorites for a reason. In such a critical game the Bills played sloppy. Three turnovers to zero. The Chargers jumped off to a 10- 0 lead before we could blink. The biggest reason for the win was the Bills defense forced five FGs. They made big stops when they had to. The Bills offense made some key plays to get the go ahead FG. Overall, this was a very poor performance by the Bills. Good enough to beat a bad LA team who is worse than closing out games than Buffalo. Let's take the W and hope the Bills execute and play better.
  4. The Chargers were without Herbert, Allen, and Bosa. They were 13 point favorites in the game. This game wasn't supposed to be close. I was expecting a much easier game for the Bills. I think it's safe to say not many here thought of that game script. The title of this thread is ridiculous. If anything it was the Bills Super Bowl or at least the playoffs.
  5. Full of excuses. This game shouldn't even have been close. Stop with your non sense. Celebrate the ugly win but stop with the excuses. If the Bills play this quality of football they will be on vacation soon. Let's hope, some AFC teams competing with the Bills playoff hopes lose. Miami, Jags, Denver, Houston, and Indy... Let's hope the Bills execute better and play well down the stretch. All in all it was a huge win!
  6. Odds are they won't but that won't stop me from cheering for the best. They can be a very dangerous team. Tonight wasn't a great example of that They have to play better and hopefully they do.
  7. Winning is what's it's all about right now.
  8. Still missing the point. The Bills ceiling is by far higher than probably every team in the AFC.
  9. Agree but they are equally as bad as anyone too. If we get the good version of the Bills then look out. A bad version and we know the results. This team has a low floor and a high ceiling. They are capable of missing the playoffs or winning it all. Let's hope for the latter.
  10. Gotta believe the Bills will take care of business in LA. I can't fathom a loss here. Bills are flat out the better team by a wide margin. It would have to be a colossal failure on all levels not to win. This team looks focused. I believe they are not looking ahead and taking it over game at a time. Cook continues to run well. Depleted Charger offense will struggle vs Bills defense. Bills 28 LA 13
  11. Correct but that doesn't address the thesis of what I was saying. I willing to give my props to those who wanted a new OC at the end of last season. You seem to be hesitant. The results of the anti Dorsey rhetoric was correct. It was a mistake to have him move forward this year. A top notch organization often makes moves before the public and it's fans can see the obvious. The Bills held on to Dorsey far too long. Those fans screaming for a new OC were correct. It remains to be seen on McD. That's really the point Gunner. Hope that makes sense.
  12. Agree but one should also go back and look at the results of staying the course. I think it's reasonable to say a change should have been made sooner if the results are inferior. Contemplate the Dorsey hiring and firing as an example. Based on your theory the fans pounding for his firing long ago were incorrect? Or correct? Or indifferent? At some point there becomes an evaluation of the facts afterwards. I think it's reasonable to make conclusions on being correct or incorrect. McD is no exception.
  13. One can be right on certain topics as well as wrong on the results. Case in point the Bills were weak in the trenches last year and they still won lots of games. However, come playoff time vs excellent teams those weaknesses came to light. So its fair to say the Bills in the trenches were weak and aided in not achieving their goal. Despite one playoff win and a great regular season. It's fair to say McD did a poor job in preparation, schemes, and adjustments in last years playoffs. It doesn't have to be either or as you are putting it. It's not either McD solely or the players solely. Surely, you can't be that naive. Buffalo beat Miami but there still might be a "changing of the guard." You see it doesn't have to be one or the other. Surely, you can't be that naive. It obvious I'm critical of the coach and the roster. It's not popular here. I'm not the only one here. I'm not on some crusade to blast negativity. What I said had/has merit. The end results are unknown until they happen. To point out my wrongs after the fact are more than fair. However, you can go back and find wrongs on everyone. Let me give you a fine example. For the longest, I've been advocating for the Bills to move on from McD. While doing so, I've received so much negative feedback and opposing views. I welcomed it all. However, my stance was pretty much on an island with the exception of a few. Fast forward to about a month ago while I was in time out. So many on here were echoing similar stances to mine. It was confirmation that maybe my thinking wasn't off. Much different than being right or wrong. One can be wrong and stand behind what they said based on many supportive variables without being inconsistent. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Think of the draft process as a great example. Again another failed attempt to personally attack me with the other fan nonsense. All I can do is laugh.
  14. What a long post of nothing. I stand by everything I said. I'm the first one to admit I was wrong when I'm wrong. Talk about having it both ways. Your post is one big hedge. No one on this planet knows if McD will or will not get it done! It clearly opinionated. It goes without saying my opinion is not evidence . Not once have I implied that. The reason why you go there is obvious. You and lots and lots of others don't agree with my viewpoint. It's safe to say I rub many the wrong way. I sincerely apologize for that. Diversity is fantastic. "Strengths lies in differences, not in similarities."
  15. That's ridiculous. I'm critical of the Bills and overly critical to a flaw at times. But my intentions are always for the better of the Bills. I badly want to see a parade in Buffalo and the Bills hoisting the Lombardi. Make no mistake about that. You can question my thinking and rational because that's fair game. I admit I'm wrong often. But to imply or question my loyalty to the Bills is flat out wrong.
  16. I like the input on this thread. Very solid and stimulating as a Bills fan. Your post certainly adds quality to the discussion. I'd like to push back a little here. I think McD should remain the DC. He's a really good defensive coach. Not sure his replacement would be more effective and nothing more than a puppet or scapegoat for McD. I think he capable of doing both. I'd argue in the minority the opposite which will never happen. I'd like for McD to step down and be the DC only. Enter a new offensive minded head coach. Win win here. Change always comes with risks but it comes with rewards as well. Look at the Josh Allen pick as an example. Huge risk with huge rewards. It's not change for change sake with the Bills. It's a change to push the team to the SB. Something that McD has woefully failed to do the last two seasons. I think the risks are minimal here and easily overcome with the right choice as head coach.
  17. Very thought out post. Just wondering how disruptive letting McD go would be? My initial thought is not that much. Why? We've seen teams do this with immediate success. The Eagles, Texans, and the Broncos jump off the page as examples. What do these teams have in common with the Bills? QBs that are more than able to win. Point being Allen can almost lead the new coach to wins. The coach just has to close out games. Of course, this is a bit simplistic but the theory applies. Running it back with McD again just seems like an old recipe that's safe but always ends up short. Who is out there to jump start the team? Inviscerate new blood, new concepts, a swagger, innovation, etc...im sure that person is out there. Peyton was that guy but the cost was too much. Harbaugh and Ben Johnson seem like solid choices. Others care to comment? In the end, the point is mute because McD isn't going anywhere. He's solid and we just have to hope he can get over the hump. I get how fans want to rally behind McD. I may as well jump on the bandwagon and enjoy the McD train ride. I'll be riding coach though.
  18. That's a fair position and post. As for myself, I've seen enough to think McD can't get it done come playoff time. Obviously, you disagree.
