  1. It’s a shame GB couldn’t haul in that pick Purdy threw right in his chest. But, there is a reason he’s a DB and not a WR I guess. So far a much more competitive game than I thought it would be, and losing Deebo Samuel is big for the 49ers
  2. Terry Bradshaw is more annoying than Cris Collinsworth And I never thought I’d find a way to start that sentence with words other than “No one is…”
  3. The heart wants Green Bay, but the head says we’re gonna see a performance analogous to the Ravens buttkicking of the Texans we just witnessed
  4. I thought McQueen went out? Been a few others who went down but came back in
  5. It’s probably a better learning curve overall to start out a bit cautious and open up as you learn what you can do, vs. leading the league in INTs as a rookie and needing to dial it back. He hasn’t been so cautious that he’s unproductive as a passer.
  6. Let’s beat the goddam muther*****in Chefs and their “Most Valuable Bundler” first.
  7. They’re effective passing when they choose to as well. They’re like 30th in the league for pass attempts, but way higher (21st I think?) for passing yards, meaning theyr’e right up there with the Bills for NY/A (5th where the Bills are 4th) They don’t scare me, but I respect them as a more complete team than many here seem to believe of them.
  8. OK, I’m not going to say it’s over, but the fat lady is warming up the ol’ throat pipes
  9. Texans dropping like flies right now
  10. Ouch, but Truth Hurts
  11. The Texans could have had what - 2 picks? 3? But.couldn’t seal the deal either time They don’t know how to contain Lamar And Texans killing themselves with false start penalties But yeah, the Ravens are a problem for reals
  12. Upthread, I did ask what exactly their criteria were? Jackson: 605 pass attempts + run plays for 4499 total Y from Scrimmage, 29 total TD Allen: 690 pass attempts +run plays for 4830 yds, 44 total TD 🤷‍♂️
  13. Their pre snap penalties are killing them
  14. #6 on the Texans - is he hobbled? Looked really slow getting over there to defend Hill
  15. Texans are shell shocked right now
  16. Just to be clear…this contract doesn’t begin until the 2024 new league year
  17. They do sometimes But yeah, Ravens should def. Have had that
  18. Wow, if only they’ll throw false start penalties on the Chiefs like that. Considering their RT fallse starts on like, every play anyway
  19. I was this many days old when I learned that Lamar Jackson has more asked of him than any other QB in the league. I wonder what their criteria for saying that were?
  20. Toney is probably 'addition by subtraction'. Anything that hampers Omenihu is fine. The Chiefs are already without Nnadi. Half their DL missing or hampered would be fine. Losing a linebacker, too, would be gravy but I bet Gay lines up for the "T train" and goes.
  21. Thanks on the % info The point is, we need to stay under the cap at all times through the playoffs. We can't make decisions to cut players that would put us over it. And the day before a playoff game is probably not the time to be restructuring and re-working deals.
  22. Um....since we broke the drought McDermott's first year as a Bills coach, how is he a "drought coach"?
  23. What reporter was it who wrote about being called into a 1:1 session with Marrone, at the cargo terminal or wherever it is that the Bills depart from just before their plane took off for an away game? He described it as being mafioso-like where Marrone had two PR guys flanking him, standing - just a really weird story *rummage rummage* OK I found it. The story ran in 2016, it happened in 2013. The reporter was Tim Graham. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/marrone-week-the-full-story-of-doug-marrone-interrogating-a-reporter-at-an-airport-over/article_1fe2d3f4-931d-5002-8acc-a64cf1214680.html Scott Berchtold sits down behind Graham, so he's being sandwiched between Marrone and communications director, both wearing suits. It turns out this is about stuff Graham tweeted, saying that Marrone will say things for effect (implying he's a liar). But Marrone is taking time to set up a meeting with him before a game - when you would think his priority might be thinking about the opponent and the game, not interrogating a reporter about something he tweeted. Many of us here have exposure to and opinions about Tim Graham and his style of tweeting, but the whole story was Super Weird.
  24. As far as cutting Martin, it's not that simple. You can cut an injured player, but only if you reach an "injury settlement" with them, where they will be paid for the # of weeks the team and their representatives agree it will take the injury to heal. Then the team which reaches the injury settlement, is prohibited from re-signing the player for the duration of the settlement plus 6 weeks. In addition, Martin is signed through 2025, so cutting him would roll $800k dead cap onto the Bills.
