  1. I’ve gotta look through old futures bets but I bet hardly anyone is ever over 30% Maybe the 07 pats? I think people really underestimate how much dumb luck the nfl playoffs is being single elimination and they’ve gotta bake that variance into the odds looks like the lions and bills are both at 19 ish percent now. That implies a pretty good deal of confidence we beat the chiefs on the road cuz that seems quite high for a likely 2 seed Yea I was gonna say that’s what you sounded like to me haha so I was surprised to read less than 50 I still think he’s passing up big rush opportunities early in games to not risk injury
  2. Less than 50% is crazy high still actually haha. I sure as heck hope it’s that high. A 1 seed with an 80/20 probability of winning every playoff game (which is a stupid high probability that’s like best team playing worst team in the regular season type stuff) has a 51.2% chance of winning the superbowl
  3. That's like canceling a gym membership haha I hate that sh*t . They make it so difficult that they figure you’ll give up GB jumped us in DVOA which I found pretty interesting.
  4. I’m just puzzled as to how people that supposedly know football could’ve concluded that poyer,Hyde,Davis, and Morse’s 2023 output was completely irreplaceable. Hearing those guys all getting talked up as massive losses in the offseason at this stage in their careers was a little odd lol Diggs has a crazy high ceiling but he was obviously mailing it in in the second half of the season and we were still winning so that seems like something they should’ve picked up on too but it was a little less obvious than the other guys. were likely gonna finish a few wins better than I even thought (I figured 11 or 12 and the jets would hang with us right til the end lol) but last years team going 11-6 in the regular season was a pretty glaring underperformance. If Brady got the full season as OC we probably win a couple more games. Really these guys should’ve been thinking of it as those players leaving costing us 5-6 wins for us to finish in the 8-9 win range
  5. I don’t think it’s based on much of anything other than a gut personal feeling on what would happen if those teams meet again.some places just rank based on record alone unless there’s some massive extenuating circumstances which kind of feels what espn has done here more or less espn consistently has the worst power rankings imo. NFL.com has us at 2 behind the eagles which seems legit having the lions ranked above us after we beat them and they sustained quite a few season ending injuries is a little ridiculous. At least chiefs you can use the past playoff history argument
  6. Haha the coping accusations…I think I’d rather do it in a meaningful game against a good defense than a meaningless game against a terrible team missing most of their good players 😂 and on top of that Lamar is pretty bad in the playoffs generally
  7. Yet they call a super soft hold on that shovel pass td to keep the game going 😂 maddening
  8. My two buddies have an interesting playoff fantasy football matchup which is gonna make this game super entertaining lol ones got Keenan Allen and Sam Darnold and is trailing by 15, the other has DJ Moore
  9. Starting linebacker and second string linebacker too…it was an absolute mess. Both teams picked heavily on guys that absolutely would not be playing in better injury circumstances
  10. Mcd haters got a little bit lucky with the rash of defensive injuries as the game went on imo. Granted the lions had defensive injury issues of their own too so it turned out pretty fair. If we didn’t lose both Milano and Williams I think we absolutely would’ve blown them out Ben Johnson seemed to be a step behind most of the first half when our injuries were pretty manageable then when Spector hit the field the floodgates opened. He was absolutely horrible really reminded me of what kc did to aj klein in the playoff game in a similar situation
  11. Gotta give the GMs credit on this front too…good coaches manage if they’ve got sufficient depth
  12. I think the pats have probably moved on to the roster evaluation phase with mayos job reportedly being safe and the jets will probably throw the kitchen sink at us cuz nobody has anything to lose
  13. There’s enough undebatable guys there to push him out of the top 5 for sure but I think I’d def argue cook could be better than enough guys on that list to get him in the top 10. Averaging out you and the guy you were responding to and putting him at 8 or 9 is what I’d go with 😂
  14. Ty Johnson is so tough to evaluate…people said yesterday its all Josh elevating him but he really has played for straight up scrub franchises (at the time) before coming to Buffalo. So couldn’t that be other teams diminishing him to a degree too? Lol I feel like he deserves some accolades all on his own despite Josh throwing a couple absolute dimes his way last night. Clearly he’s doing something right to earn snaps in a backfield with cook and Davis
  15. Yep that’s how it looked to me so I’d believe it, then it looked like diggs started phoning it in when Brady took over so Brady probably made it clear we weren’t forcing it to diggs anymore I don’t think there’s any way we’d have him back or he’d be proud enough to admit he did something wrong. Pretty fitting end he dropped that wide open deep shot and unheralded MVS made a couple much more difficult plays for the chiefs
  16. That Skyler Thompson game was a weather game? It was like low 30s and sunny in mid January lol I think I took my jacket off even. Issue in that game was Josh Allen turning the ball over, he was throwing it all over the field fine What piss poor patriots weather game even was there? They were a wildcard team for that crazy wind game (who we absolutely nuked in very cold weather in the playoffs). Last year we blew a game to them in perfect weather and didn’t have any trouble in the rematch outside of a pats kickoff return to start the game I don’t even think the pats wind game is relevant anymore, the run blocking has improved since then I do think cincy was better prepared for that light snow game but we must’ve learned our lessons in that one because the last few snow games I’ve seen our opponents are slipping all over the place but we seemed pretty much unaffected. That light snow in that Miami rematch won us the game a couple years back. They were in control and both of their lines immediately looked like they were on roller skates the second it started snowing
  17. If we end up the 2 the ravens being a wildcard team is really fortunate cuz they’ll go out to kc round 2 most likely. It’s mostly all a guess at this point cuz maybe the Steelers get upset round 1 and send Baltimore to us haha
  18. Seems like they picked on Spector and Lewis a ton. Idk how bishop played but I’m gonna watch again. I was too invested in the game to pay too much attention to specific guys lol
  19. I don’t think even in a dead sprint with a football in his hands Herbert is as fast as Allen but I could be wrong. Tough to tell without a side by side race lol Herbert ran a marginally faster 40 time but Josh’s form for running the 40 yard dash was hilariously bad…I don’t think he spent any time preparing for it when a lot of guys do
  20. Elam for Douglas matchup wise the way this season has been going I can get behind, I’m not so sure about bishop for Hamlin yet. Douglas was great last year and this year has seemed pretty mediocre to me. Maybe he can get it switched back on though
  21. Press conference cliches never expire 😂 Groin…idk how bad it is though. Sounds like week to week
  22. I have trouble even faulting him for that because that was such an obvious Offside that got completely blown. Seems like that formation surprised the lions a bit and it would’ve given us an easy sneak the next play if the refs got it right without having to risk a 4th down sneak
  23. That’s a relief…Milano being out again would be tough but that softens the blow. Not that Milano has played well up to this point but I think he’s still gotta get more snaps in before the playoffs or he probably won’t be effective
  24. If their defense was better I’d def take the shot…Mike brown is pretty good for job security at least if nothing else 😂
  25. I wish I was a betting man…that should be a nice haul lol
