  1. It is comical how much play they've gotten out of the 'the team the bills were playing beat themselves' bit haha I could see using that for a few regular season games but we are 15-3 with one hail mary loss and the fact that our qb was injured for the other two losses apparently means nothing
  2. On the resale market theyre going for 7800 already and you've gotta think thats going up when the matchup is set....thats why I'm trying so hard to get to the afc championship 🤣
  3. Yea that I remember I just can't remember how long it took him to go through the protocols...you'd think if it was as much as a technicality as Andy Reid is saying he may be through already? Or maybe it takes multiple days of performing the same tests Yea thats true its just the best example I can think of for a very minor concussion where the player played the next week. He looked fine after the hit and it wasn't really in doubt whether he would play the next week
  4. Anyone remember how long it took josh to go through the protocols after he got a concussion against the pats?...he seemed much more ok after the initial hit than mahomes too
  5. I think his foot injury is more interesting... he was clearly trying to protect it at times and it was very much affecting his play
  6. Theres a lot more at play than just net points with a team like the chiefs...their explosive offense forces teams without the weapons we have to try to play catchup. They don't have a lot of talent in their secondary on paper compared to teams we have previously faced. If you're into advanced analytics type places football outsiders has them as the 22nd ranked defense. I wouldnt call them pushovers but I would say we have a proven track record against better defensive groups than theirs
  7. Stefanski was inexplicably trying to run man coverage for farrrr too long as well. Cleveland coaching really pooped the bed in that one I mean compared to who we've played...we have run the absolute gauntlet of top defenses this year Look at their depth chart...if breeland doesn't play who also has a concussion i just dont see who can stop us...on paper of course 🤣 games are certainly not played on paper.
  8. He missed a 60 yard throw in swirling winds lol i dont think mahomes makes that throw either. I may be crazy but this matchup scares me the least out of our three playoff games so far...granted that does not mean its an easy win by any means. We were missing a cb2...we were starting Brian freaking winters....and our best cover lb was out and josh allen was hurt last time we played them and I think their fans and hopefully their team too have developed a false sense of security based on that first meeting
  9. Easily one of the five worst defenses we've seen all year...thats not saying they can't execute a solid game plan in a one game scenario though I'm sure I just can't read 🤣 man I dont think I could name four wrs on the cardinals especially with Fitzgerald being in and out of the lineup
  10. Their secondary is trash 🤣 I will personally tell anyone from their message board that. Their entire defense runs through chris Jones. I mean maybe they will outscheme us but on paper we are going to torch them...we just have to torch them more than mahomes is gonna torch us lol
  11. Wow hard to believe someone is running 10 more than us...guess it makes sense its brady though lol
  12. If he's talking about the Colts multiple bills players said that's the best defensive effort they've seen all year...im not sure how our performance against Baltimore could be labeled a choke when from a coaching perspective when Gabe Davis dropped a sure touchdown and we missed 2 fgs...thats 20 points on offense against one of the best rushing defenses in the league in a bad weather game. Not to mention we pretty much were content running out the clock in the 4th up two scores with Jackson out of the game
  13. Probably to stop the chiefs from having a dynasty to rival the pats...I think the pats only went back to back once
  14. I think the Baltimore game was more of an 'underestimating how bad the wind would be' type scenario...we probably expected the ravens to come out and play a lot of man and blitz like they usually do which would give us lots of single coverage deep shots but that one open look diggs had where the ball got blown 10 yards to the right was a wakeup call for both teams...second half we were focusing on short to intermediate routes and having success Yea im not sure it affected us more...we could really load up on the run because lamar isn't a great passer in even normal conditions but the threat of him passing is certainly there in decent weather I think our first matchup with kc and the ten game was more about Josh's injury
  15. Weather is every team but the ravens and titans kryptonite and we beat the ravens anyway in bad weather lol Josh's arm strength is a huge advantage that allows you to actually pass the ball in winds like that
  16. I totally agree but I dont think 'running' has to be handing the ball off to your running back in a traditional sense. A lot of those TE screens and wr screens and jet sweeps and designed qb runs accomplish that goal...handing the ball off to Singletary/moss/whoever 25 times per game is not how this team is built. I think thats why we saw daboll call all those designed qb runs against the Colts and we hit pretty big on a few of them. Bucs bills chiefs are all top four passing offenses...the league is all pick plays and freak athlete wrs running crossing routes now lol. I also don't think teams are often surprised by a running play. I think we're really underselling how difficult our offense is to stop...diggs is very very difficult to cover and you have to spy allen and Cole beasley is really good at improvising and finding the holes in zone coverage...then brown is a burner that can take a top off the defense...theres no way you can cover all of that even if you know a pass is coming...a lot of these defenses that like to play man and bring pressure have to throw their whole defensive identity away when they play us
  17. The modern day nfl its getting pretty close to not being worth it to commit to the run...with the 'hits on defenseless receivers' and ticky tacky PI calls and litany of different tackles that turn into roughing the passer calls...theres just so many ways a passing offense can get bailed out. We are greatly oversimplifying it as fans by saying 'the chiefs can just play coverage and stop us' lol there are a lot of things to stop even if we informed the chiefs in advance we'd be throwing the ball every play
  18. I'm still not sure about this narrative...I think we don't run because we really havented needed to and a lot of these passing plays are designed as kind of extended handoffs anyway...quite a few games we have pounded it down the stretch and ran out the clock when the other team knew we'd be running the ball. This is a variant of that tom brady NE offense we are running where we force defenses to defend the whole field on passing plays and we are at our best when theres 4 wrs on the field Baltimore game i think the wind really limited our passing game more than we expected so we were more balanced in the second half
  19. Idk if its anti bills bias or pro ravens/chiefs bias lol two weeks in a row were hearing 'well the ravens are going to win because they're the ravens' and 'the chiefs are going to win because they're the chiefs' with nobody really digging too deep into the matchups. Could be the small market thing too as im sure the skip bayless' and Stephen a smiths of the world aren't watching too many bills games...when we've had decent weather games against good/average defenses we have absolutely crushed it but theyre gonna nitpick our last chiefs matchup and the Baltimore game last night and say we can't hang with the chiefs offense. The chiefs get a free pass when they struggle because they are the chiefs lol
  20. Call me crazy but I really think they are gonna do it...and I dont even mean that as a fan wanting it to happen lol the chiefs entire defense is one guy making qbs lives miserable when they drop back to pass and our offensive line has been great in pass protection...I dont really understand what these 'experts' are seeing on paper to unanimously call the game for the chiefs before its played. If you gave me the choice between playing the ravens in a wind storm or the chiefs im taking the chiefs every time. It does make me nervous that I somehow feel good about this game because I've been nervous for all the other ones and we've been winning haha
  21. I certainly wouldn't bet money on this but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we absolutely blew them out...I think we've got a better chance at slowing them down than they have slowing us down but our team name isn't the chiefs and apparently that's all that matters
  22. Thats 100% accurate as to what the media thinks and it makes 0 logical sense. The chiefs have been sleepwalking against average teams and theyre just gonna wake up and win a shootout on command when their star qb clearly has a foot injury?...mahomes was missing routine wide open throws that Chad henne probably makes because he couldn't step into his throws 😁 i just dont get on paper how the chiefs are a whole tier above us....they have the worst defense we've faced in like two months haha football outsiders has them below the jets even...they're one of the worst defensive units we've seen all year but theyre just gonna figure it out because they are the chiefs? What about breeland too...if he's out with a concussion and were going 4wr or 5wr sets who the heck do they have in coverage
  23. I dont think it'll move much i think everyone is assuming mahomes will play...if henne gets announced as the starter you'll see the big line move to Buffalo-5 probably
