  1. I’d argue that Josh is doing as good a job as anyone against spags…I would’ve even say he can’t beat spags and Reid. At the time we had the two highest scoring totals on the chiefs starting defense for 2024 (Super Bowl knocked us down to #2 and #3) I think the bills offense would’ve scored 75 on the bills defense down benford and Rapp last year 😂
  2. I had a begrudging respect for mahomes until he whined about that offensive Offside and had to be held back from a ref lol now I despise him
  3. Haha I gotta rewatch that game now
  4. I mean if we’re nitpicking to that level I think we gotta talk about how improbable that James Harrison 100 yard INT return was before halftime in tomlin’s superbowl win haha Pretty sure the cardinals got hosed by the refs in that one also although admittedly I don’t remember it too well
  5. 2024 rapp actually was a big loss haha he didn’t play against the chiefs in the playoffs. Gets overshadowed by benford going down crazy early
  6. Was just gonna say that haha…Tomlin who wasn’t even involved in the selection of roethlisberger at all has been what everyone is afraid mcd will be post Josh for almost a decade now and he’s still there 😂
  7. Tomlin took over a roster that recently won a Superbowl because the previous coach retired. Not really trying to discredit everything he’s done but it’s not like he righted the ship of a failing franchise. Mcd and Tomlin comparisons are apples and oranges…once the roster from the cowher days was mostly turned over Tomlin won nothing.. Tomlin wasn’t even around for the selection of his franchise qb so he kinda deserves even less credit than mcd in that regard lol
  8. I think Stefanski is a better fit not sure if hes gonna survive this offseason or not though
  9. Jags would never take that even if they were actively open to trading him which I still don’t believe. I think it’s more ‘someone called on BTJs availability and Jax said sure if you give us an arm and a leg he’s available’
  10. As much as I think Brady is meh he’s kinda one of the biggest HC prospects by default haha. The guys available seem really underwhelming. He’s underwhelming too but probably could argue he’s the least underwhelming lol
  11. Has a gm ever been fired midseason without firing the coach? This feels weird to me but it might not be lol
  12. Felt like they bottomed out for awhile and then had a ton of resources for a full rebuild mcdaniel’s first season. He was bad obviously but I can kinda see how he hung around. Probably got the ‘tua injury excuse’ for a year or two and then when tua was healthy and they were still regressing badly Grier got the axe
  13. Tyreek definitely made tua and probably would’ve made any decent qb they started…feels like tua would get injured which would force in a terrible qb that played bad and they’d say ‘see? We need to keep tua’ 😂 feels like Miami went the ‘fit a decent qb on a modest contract into a stacked offense’ route but forgot the modest contract part lol
  14. I’ve always said that haha I saw a lot of bills fans on social media talking up the ravens offense last night but if that exact performance was us, bills fans would be saying 4 three and outs in the first half against a bad team we’re doomed! Lol
  15. Ravens with Lamar and all their other starters week 1 is gonna shake out to being a great win id imagine.. I think Miami is still pretty bad but a much better flavor of bad with tyreek playing as well 😂. So looking at our opponents current records midseason isn’t always a perfect system.. obviously it’s fine to do with like the jets and saints this is a weird year so far…colts might coast to the 1 seed so if the bills end up a wildcard team because NE capitalized on a much easier schedule it won’t sting as bad as it could’ve. Then next year NE will get stuck with those harder ‘matching division placement’ games (idk if there’s a good name for those haha). If we’re assuming the bills fell off a bit, NE has the easiest schedule I think I’ve ever seen. Giants instead of eagles and raiders instead of chiefs is wild 😂. 2 of their games went from two of the best teams in the league for us to two of the worst for them based on last years results In the cursed scenario where NE wins the division and we’re a wildcard, it might even be us playing them in the first round so there will likely be an immediate ‘revenge’ chance where no one even cares who won the division
  16. Commanders covered up the designed plays pretty well but I don’t think they had enough experience against kc to know how they like to adjust their routes in the scramble drill type situations though it was a really interesting game last week…as bad as the result ended up being I don’t think they were too far off from having a good defensive game if that makes any sense 😂 Yea they would…doesn’t really mean much of anything when the teams have a rematch against eachother and different amounts of games played anyway
  17. It’s giving me pretty strong dolphins vibes…I think the pats floor is pretty good though while the dolphins got figured out and just couldn’t adapt. Someone is gonna pick up on some tendencies with their offense and they’re gonna hit a rough patch I think
  18. Yea I gotta think Hawes is far surpassing even what their expectations were.. if they knew they’d get Hawes the next year and he’d look this good this quick maybe they would’ve handled the Keon pick differently idk
  19. To me it seems like this whole heavy set/pound the run stuff was done primarily with the chiefs in mind. the chiefs grabby secondary/blitz heavy approach doesn’t really have much trouble at all with stopping any combination of WRs I’ve seen and comes up with so many big plays in big moments…they’re probably the best pass defense in the league. Feels like every time a team crosses midfield on them they get a huge turnover or sack so they give up some yards but very little points we’ll see how this weekend goes but playoffs last year the bills ran up and down the field on them for a lot of the game and that was before adding a good blocking TE. It wasn’t like there were WRs they had to respect last year either lol
  20. Keon seems like a really good run blocker to me so he’ll probably get a pretty long leash. Obviously you can’t keep a guy like that around too long if he gives you nothing in the passing game though but I’d expect him to keep getting snaps this regular season at least. Funny enough I feel like Gabe was kinda the same deal haha Gabe would honestly probably still be here on his first stint if there wasn’t a team that would overpay him I don’t think fans take wr run blocking seriously but the bills definitely seem to…I don’t think it’s by chance they’ve had Gabe, Mack hollins and Keon the last few years
  21. The ebb and flow of nfl roster construction is pretty interesting…I think we’re at a point where most defenses just don’t have the personnel to stop a team that can run it well out of heavier sets because everyone went all in on rushing the passer / taking the passing game away. I really think the bills are kinda doing what puts the most pressure possible on the opposing defenses and fans just aren’t entertained by it. Of course we should definitely add a wr…not disagreeing with that, but all this general hate for a good running game is pretty wild to me. If the chiefs had this in their bag of tricks I don’t think they’d ever lose
  22. There’s definitely truth to both sides…bills need a receiver and most people underestimate what a good running game can do/take it for granted.. it’s definitely hyperbole to phrase it as ‘bills don’t have a receiver problem’ though lol like I get they value heavier sets/receivers that can block well but you need to be getting at least some juice out of these guys in the passing game
  23. The commanders game was interesting they took away a ton of the designed plays and the chiefs offense was just very well executed improv when the initial play was taken away. thats why pressure is so important against those guys
  24. I still think he’s just smarter about taking hits in the regular season tbh. If he’s got a lane to get a decent chunk of yardage and slide he’ll take it. Or if the game is going poorly and we’re in danger of losing. Our two losses he had 6 carries for 42 yds and 9 carries for 53 yds.. average of those two is 47.5 rushing yards per game and a whole season of that is over 800 rushing yards. Even with this new philosophy of minimizing injury risk he’s still on pace for his average season rushing yardage total
  25. They haven’t had a bye yet which is probably effecting things if you’re lookin at total yardage…a big chunk of teams ahead of them in rushing yards allowed have only played 7 games. Ignoring the bills game, panthers are averaging 92.57 rushing yards allowed per game which would be 7th right now. With the bills game included their 16th with 111.6 yards allowed per game
