was that bomb the first one?  if so, i disagree, because he was able to trot for a 1st and more.  he showed no awareness.

I mean that’s hard to say…the jets entire shtick last night was baiting josh into running lanes that looked available then they collapsed extremely quickly

I said after the game if the same thing happens against the Raiders, then Kyle Allen needs to come in for a series of two. See if extreme measures can work. Trouble is, if Kyle has a nightmare, it just re-enforces Josh as the best option, which we know is the case any way.

Something needs to give, and it's up to the coaches to make the right choice. Does he need an arm round the shoulder? A boot up the backside? A good cop/bad cop routine? If they don't get it right then Miami will have no competition in the AFCE.

Are we seriously entertaining Kyle Allen not being terrible? Lol. Criticize josh all you want but there is no way Kyle Allen with no running game is going to have any amount of success

He was definitely trash, but even that included 70 percent completions. His coaches are trash, scheme doesn't fit the personnel on offense. And we invest money and resources into the D every year, only to never be able to stop the run. Excuses? Maybe, but the organization is a dumpster fire. Look no further than Kincaid and Elam. Problems run WAY deeper than josh

I thought the d was pretty good honestly…they defended short fields all night and gave up 16 points.  I would’ve said great if they were playing a qb better than Wilson lol

what was wrong with Kincaid? He was open all night.

The commercials are getting to his head. Notice the best football he ever played was before the commercials started

The revisionist history on this still puzzles me…I keep hearing ‘it was Daboll, it was the commercials’ yada yada but josh has had a few absolute stinkers like this every year his entire career.

The funny thing is if Josh Allen just made normal plays he would still be a top QB. For every jump over a guy and do something amazing, he does 2 things that are you scratching your head wondering if he has a concussion. Give him some Ritalin or something..dude is a spaz

The hero ball generally helps much more than it hurts…I’d agree with that based on last nights game though.

The OPI call was laughable in that spot.

False starts are presnap so not much to do. The leg whip wouldn’t have mattered.

Thought it was a well called game for the most part.

How would the leg whip not have mattered? I don’t remember the exact yard line that it occurred on but it’s a 15 yarder I’m pretty sure.  So even if it happened on the 30 that is far from a guaranteed fg if the bills stop them

As soon as we didn't get some 3rd downs (and we were close mind you) doing dink and dunk Josh decided he was just gonna play hero ball.  3 of the 4 turnovers were horrible decisions while not under duress, and he walked into pressure or left clean pockets other times.

Dorsey has to figure out how to get the I working best, and he's no where near that yet, but Allen just not throwing those three horrible decision throws means we win walking away

I’d say two were horrible decisions…I’m alright with the bomb on 3rd and 8 that went down as a good punt, the jets were honestly kind of stupid for intercepting that.  The ball to Davis was a fine read he just didn’t make a great throw and Davis ran an absolute garbage route which allowed the safety to jump it from very far away

  6. Not sure how people will react to this lol but I completely agree.  Sauce is the new household name corner that gets away with everything which is to be expected, but don’t call an opi on a receiver for fighting back

definitely deserved to lose anyway and we still could’ve lost if all those calls went our way though

You would have been if the Bills had someone just making average plays at quarterback. Heck, if the Bills had Wilson the result would have been different tonight.

I think the jets would have shut the bills out if there was a Wilson vs Wilson mirror match all game tonight at qb lol

we’re dunking on all of Josh’s  bad plays tonight and that’s certainly deserved, but josh pulled off some magic on quite a few plays tonight too that led to points

Allen has regressed badly. It’s starting to look like almost all the work done under Daboll has been unraveling.

The panic / risk taker is supposed to be phasing out of his game at this point of his career.

The window for this team was the 2021 season.

Anyone saying “it’s just one game, it’ll be fine” is not grasping the dog fight the AFC East and wild card spots is going to be.

The team was up double digits in the second half against a deflated team. The only thing they couldn’t do was beat themselves. This game is a fireable offense.

I’m on the flip side of this I think trying to coach the risk taker out of him is killing his confidence…that panicked throwaway ish pass to Knox in ot irritated me more than anything all night because he was playing scared and tried to keep the ball away from sauce who was barely a factor on that play.

gotta pick yourself up and keep doing what you do in a bad game but josh seemed clearly rattled tonight and it all snowballed.  That’s something you just never see happen to mahomes even in that bucs Super Bowl where he was getting pulverized all night

So GoBills down votes my post, tell me why? Because I said it's Miami's division to lose? Explain please

I’m not disagreeing with you necessarily but I’m gonna guess it’s because week 1 is a little early to say it’s miamis division to lose.  Tua had some bone headed mistakes that kept a team in the game he should’ve blown out also so who knows what’s gonna happen over 17 games

Beane: Breece Hall was on the board when we took Kair Elam. One of those guys was more responsible than anyone else for the W. One was a healthy inactive.

Breece hall could’ve switched teams at halftime and I doubt it makes a difference in the outcome.  I think this is a bit of a reach.  I’m having trouble blaming anybody but josh…three runs and a punt every drive in the second half probably wins that game

It's Josh playing hero ball, we lost cause of it

Not sure that’s true, although we undoubtedly lost because of him so honestly what’s the difference anymore lol

The fumbled snap and missed throw to Davis which was a good read didn’t really strike me as hero ball.  The first int was fine it was just a long punt on third and long that the jets honestly should’ve just knocked down.

that second pick was pretty hero ball-ish though.  Without hero ball I think we get shut out in this one but it handed some points to the jets also

honestly what pissed me off the most today was josh getting scared…he clearly  missed that throw to Knox in ot because sauce was somewhat close in coverage and he was rattled.  Like if you’re a gunslinger at least keep your head up and fight on a tough night

You think they can’t beat us again in Buffalo?

Probably not…im expecting it will go down kind of the same as last year.  The first matchups were eerily similar games.  Bills were up 14-3 late in the second quarter in the last one and just sleptwalk through the rest of the game

the bills were garbage but the jets needed a ton of breaks to win still despite that

edit: would love to know what part of this isn’t true.  The jets ot win took:

    a fumbled snap

    3 ints

a once in a lifetime catch by wilson

a questionable opi call on the final drive in regulation

a blatant trip on a punt return td

People can be as negative as they want about the bills chances and that’s totally cool, I just very much doubt the Zach Wilson jets win in buffalo. Bills will most likely win a one score game.  They might lose every other game lol but I feel very confident in that one

I have to admit, as ***** as tonight was, wouldn't you much rather be the Bills right about now, than the Jets?

The Jets won today, but Super Bowl aspirations are completely shot, maybe even playoff aspirations.

We looked atrocious and Allen lost the game by himself, but both of his WORST games statistically last season were against the Jets as well, so is it really anything new?

For the season yea but it will take people awhile to get to that point on the bills side and I don’t blame them

took an awful lot for the jets to win this one and the bills played absolutely awful

There were tons of short dump offs to be had vs Bengals and Jets. Allen did it 75% of the time tonight. If he hit every check we would have been up at least 16-6 late in the 3rd instead of 13-6.

Tons of checkdowns after 3 bengals shredded the line of scrimmage and had their hands all in the throwing lanes…tonight he was bailing early in the pocket for sure.

either way I agree with the more important point that he was garbage tonight

I said the Digges effect. Was Diggs open on any of those throws past 20 yards? UH no...

It is in JA head that he has to throw to Diggs all the time. That is an issue.

Dorsey play calling is a joke

and by the way.. how many times did we have to run the ball right in the teeth of the lion down the Gut... Do you not know that the middle of that D line is good?

    McD reverting to 2 zone..

    Pukes..

I mean it’s tough to blame the defense…they defended short fields most of the night and gave up 16 points.

pass rush looked pretty legit without von

Josh lost that game single handedly…all he had to do was protect the football that second half.  I’m not even sure we needed to score

  16. 17 minutes ago, Dr.Sack said:

Not really. Josh Allen has totally melted down the past 2 games.

I didn’t really see the bengals game that way but today absolutely was that.

bengals game he just had no chance…the offensive line was getting whooped right from the snap.  Today there were plays to be made for sure

Josh has been a TO machine his whole career even with Daboll. Stop blaming Dorsey. He didn’t throw two deep balls into double coverage. He didn’t miss Kincaid wide open on the Davis pick

I agree…I just don’t understand the revisionist history.  We were 7-6 through 13 games Daboll’s last season here and there were a fair share of offensive stinkers.

I’m not as down on the Davis pick but there were plenty of horrible turnovers to choose from.  That was the right read but he missed the throw a bit and Davis ran a terrible route

I am about a ten on the concerned  meter with Josh. I don’t know what’s up with him.  Jets have a great D but there were plays to be made. The ints were horrendous.. I don’t know , maybe he feels like he needs to make that Espn highlight every Down. Why is he tryjng to trying to hurdle two guys when the first down marker was five yards away. He is just doing really strange stuff. Both Mcd and Diggs trying to tell him to be smart use his head. Something ain’t right.

I’m at another loss that Mcd can’t somehow lead this group when everything was handed to him on a silver platter. Rodgers was gone, Wilson is not good. The crowd is out of the game and it just seems like I’ve watched this story numerous times season after season. Keep the other team in it just enough to  Self destruct.

Running the ball on 2 and 15 up the middle against a formidable front wasting a precious down in Ot?

Sherfield was he inactive? heard a lot of good things about him. Davis two targets but maybe it’s just a product of his route running.

for a team that wants home field this is a really bad loss. I’m extremely pissed.

First pick im fine with and the one to Davis was the right read at least, the other two turnovers were horrendous though

Davis can only run go routes I don’t understand it
