    Bills 27 Washington 20

I think this is a close game. The Commanders have a really nasty D-line and an offense that will likely look to turn this into a one-possession knuckleball ball-type game by playing risk-averse on offense and trying to have their defense at home keep the game close. But I think the Bills defense comes to play and keeps Washington's offense mostly in check and the Bills offense plays more conservatively and just wears them down. I think late in the third the Bills open up a 10 point lead 27-17 but the Commanders about a little more than half way through Q4 kick a field goal and cut it to one possession but the Bills grind down the clock and the Commanders don't get the ball back or get the ball back with little time to go all the way down the field and they just run out of time or turn the ball over forcing it down the field.

Tight game against a solid team way, we will know a lot about how good or bad the Bills are after this game.

I feel like you’ve gotta have good disciplined LBers to keep josh from running all over the place and Washington doesn’t really have that.  Bills oline has been quietly playin well this year too…we are not a good matchup for Washington imo.  Bad weather and anything could happen but decent weather and I think we’re lookin at a comfy win I’m goin like 31-17

The deal with Allen’s mind set is he doesn’t “want to” throw the short pass, even when it’s beneficial to his and the teams success, he will do it but it’s not his preference,  when he integrates the underneath passes fully into his repertoire he then will be a virtually unstoppable QB.  On the occasions that he has done so he has had his best games as a QB.

    GO BILLS!!!

I think he wants to in normal circumstances but some games against tough defenses he loses faith that the offense can put a long td drive together so he starts pressing to hit a big chunk play.

Normally it’s when the offensive line is getting manhandled but the jets game this year seemed like a special case where they got in his head and he started bailing pockets early when he didn’t need to. I thought the OL held up pretty well in that one.

Well damn I have no idea. I dont get paid millions to comb through the NFL and NCAA to find a great offensive mind.

Thats what GMs and their scouts are supposed to be doing right?

If I was getting that kinda money Im certain I would have found someone to replace McD after 13 seconds.

I mean that thought experiment was to reinforce the idea that there are maybe one or two sure thing offensive minded head coaches in the league right now and the bills if they ever have to dump McD will not be getting one of them.  realistically they’d be rolling the dice on a college coach unproven at the nfl level.

13 seconds was devastating but the best qb in the league with the fastest receivers in the league,Travis Kelce, and 3 timeouts getting into mid fg range to tie the game isn’t an instant coach firing situation imo.  Heck the bills pretty much walked off against the lions like that last year. I’d still rank it below the seahawks passing from the 1 yard line against the pats in the superbowl and plays like the Minneapolis miracle as far as egregious ways to lose in the playoffs go

The Bengals will be fine if Burrow is healthy.  But he's not healthy.

They can sit him for a few weeks but risk falling further and further in the standings.

Or have him play less than 50% and take the risk.

I mean for wildcard purposes sure, but 0-2 in the division makes that next game against the ravens an absolute must win.  Lose that one and they’ve gotta make up 4 games on baltimore the rest of the way to win the division

I still think McD is a trash can lol.

I would take any good offensive mind to be the coach of this team.

Realistically what coaches are you talking about?  Andy Reid sure I could see that…but who else?

taylor seems like a bum getting pretty good results out of an insanely stacked offense

then you’ve got guys like sirianni, mccarthy, shanahan, mcdaniel.

    You were saying?

The amount of overreaction on this board after a loss is hilarious...

"we're going to miss singletary" HAHAHAHAHA

Singletary this year: 7 carries 15 yards 2.1 YPC and 4 carries 14 yards...... 3.5 YPC... damn, that's some production we can REALLLLY use

Singletary objectively would be the fourth best rb on this roster lol

Exactly. But people here think that Zac Taylor is an “offensive genius” who “outcoached” McDermott. People here in Cincinnati want him fired. Unless you’re a chiefs fan there is a substantial portion of your fellow fans who want the coach fired.

the Bengals host the Rams and then go to Tennessee. They don’t get their “get right” game until they go to Arizona after that. They have a real chance to be 0-4.

Zac Taylor is in the bottom half of coaches in the league imo he just has an absurd amount of talent at the skill positions because they got an early first rounder after the year burrow was out.  their DC should be the head coach…he’s doing a lot more with less compared to what Taylor is doing

could be some wishful thinking but I think their superbowl aspirations take a big hit when they inevitably lose Higgins

How did that Jets defense look vs Dallas?  But, if that's the story (4 TO vs good D, 0 TO vs mediocre D), how's the season's chances look?

Can't speak for "we".  Me, of course I am, but we're 1-1 on mistake-free Josh vs "turnover machine Josh"    I'd like to see more of the former.

I would love to get to the end of the season and have this be true.  No cap.

They didn’t look good obviously but to be fair they were on the field for 42 minutes and the jets offense turned it over 4 times.

I mean how many really great defenses are there left on the schedule/we might see in the playoffs?  NYJ again… Dallas? Philly maybe? Cincy hasn’t looked as good this year.  Then you get to the AFC playoffs and who could we see in there…jets won’t be making it.  Seems like a majority of the elite defenses are in the NFC

I certainly didn’t mean josh always plays badly against great defenses lol we have torched NE quite a few times. If you have a bad day though things are more likely to snowball and week 1 is kind of a crapshoot to begin with.

The Jets will sign a veteran Qb in the next 2 weeks.  Probably Carson Wentz.

We should have never lost to them.

Not to make tooo many excuses for us cuz we clearly sucked lol but if we came in with a game plan tailored to Zach Wilson I doubt we would’ve lost that game…still woulda been ugly as sin though im sure.  Cowboys got a full week to prepare for him as the starter

  10. Im honestly pretty thankful for tua…he’s a pretty good qb in a great system that will probably be a stat monster that they won’t really be able to move on from.

if the dolphins had a great qb that could go through progressions and use the whole field more consistently they’d be a Super Bowl front runner every year

I guess I’m a Bills partisan, I thought the only reason the Jets won was that Josh Allen tried to play hero ball and gift wrapped 4 turnovers

“Only Josh Allen can Defeat the Bills”

But I do know what you mean.  The Jets offense didn’t make stupid mistakes last week.  This week, it was Zach Wilson doing the gift-wrapping

Even with the 4 turnovers they had a lot go their way…that Wilson catch was ridiculous

  12. How the f are you gonna trot a guy out there that never hits from 50+ when you’ve got a 4th and 3 to win the game…might work out for the dolphins anyway but woof was that a strange decision

That's a nasty hit to the head. Absolutely nothing like the one the Bills got flagged for today. The Bills defender (forgot who) nearly picked off the ball when Adams got popped. He had his hands on the ball.

    Rapp I think

Snow makes the field slippery. The WRs know where they are going, the DBs do not.  Wind is much more likely and a good strong swirling wind will hurt Tua way more than Josh.

So much of the dolphins offense is quick timing based throws though…snow could def effect them negatively id think.  The ball is out so fast on every play

I will give the dolphins credit. They have a very clever quick passing game, where the QB can just throw it to read no. 1 in rhythm most of the time. lot of those backs and receivers are in motion too, so you can’t get a good jam to disrupt the timing.

I’m hopin we can disguise our zones well enough to throw the timing off a little bit at least…guess we’ll find out in a few weeks.  Looks like he 100% knows where the ball is going based on pre snap looks just about every snap
