There's some hyperbole there, but he did have a really bad play to stall the second drive of the game. On third and 5, he caught a ball short of the sticks and ran towards the marker at the sideline. Instead of taking on the defender (190 pound CB Tre Herndon) and pushing through him for a first down, he allowed himself to get pushed out of bounds a yard short. It looked like an easy first down when he caught it, but he allowed himself to get easily pushed out by a guy giving up 50 pounds.

NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available
Billl replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Raiders traded a first and a second (22 and 53) in the same season for Adams who immediately required a 5 year, $140,000,000 contract. The Dolphins traded a first, second, two fourths, and a sixth for the right to pay Tyreek 4 years $120,000,000. We're taking about a guy who is still cost controlled through the end of the 2025 season. He would absolutely command that much. -
NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available

Surtain was a top 10 pick who has lived up to the hype and had 3 seasons of control remaining. It would take a minimum of 2 first round picks to get him, especially from a team expected to draft 25+. -
So the media posted this story to Stef's Instagram? What are you even saying?
-
What am I missing? He's made one special teams tackle and one on a running play on third and 36 for a 7 yard gain. That's the entirety of his production on the season.
-
Kingsley Jonathan? The guy who was a 24 year old undrafted free agent two years ago and has 7 career tackles?
-
10 penalties due 86 yards on the Chiefs vs 4 penalties for 51 yards on Minnesota. Nope. Not everything is a conspiracy. Sometimes the better team just wins.

Good enough to win by 8 and finish the game kneeling down with first and goal from the Jacksonville 1 yard line. I suppose you'd think it was more impressive if the Chiefs had decided to punch it in and win by 15, and that's the point of my original post. The NFL isn't a beauty contest, so winning by 8 was every bit as good as winning by 15. Being able to run up the score is fine, but it doesn't matter if you can't win a rock fight. Miami hung 70 on Denver and then lost to Buffalo. Buffalo blew out Miami and then lost to Jacksonville. Kansas City won close games against the Jets and the Vikings. Which of those three outcomes look best in the standings?

Kansas City literally just beat Jacksonville in Jacksonville three weeks ago. Teams travel. That's part of the game. Maybe the Bills mishandled the travel schedule. If so, that's their own fault. They could have traveled to London 5 days prior to the game. (It wouldn't have mattered.)

People here pay way too much attention to margin of victory. It's easy to get suckered into believing that a 30 point win is somehow worth more than a 3 point win. This isn't college football, and there are no style points. You are what your record says you are.

What Did You Do that Caused the Bills to Lose?
Billl replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually helped the Bills by having 4 more rushing yards than James Cook. -
Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field

You mean two firsts and a second? -

Sure, but they’re not trading him for a late first rounder and Kaiir freaking Elam. -

Why would Denver do that? -
Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
Billl replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lots of rumblings that Surtain may want out of Denver. They're a disaster, and he's their best trade piece. He won't come cheap, but I think Denver would be willing to listen. -
Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)
Billl replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
If there was anything worth showcasing, they wouldn’t be shopping him. -

If they can get a 5th for him, it’s better than paying him to stand on the sideline in street clothes. -

I can’t possibly believe that high draft picks don’t get the benefit of the doubt versus late round picks? I absolutely do believe that. Elam is simply terrible. I’ve said repeatedly that if anyone really wants to know why he’s been inactive, they need to watch the first drive of the second half of the preseason game against the Steelers. He looked like the Make a Wish kid lined up out there. It was maybe the worst performance I’ve ever seen from a CB. If he’d been a 7th round pick, he’d be selling insurance by now. So you think his value is going to go up while he stands on the sideline in street clothes every week? -

Not sure why everyone feels the need to overthink this. If he didn't completely suck, they'd have him active if even to save face for trading up in the first to draft him. I'd they can get anything at all for him, they should move on. -
She's all about that Bass.

The AFC is Kansas City, Miami, and Buffalo in that order right now. This looks like the best Chiefs team I’ve ever seen despite a week 1 fluke without Travis Kelce and Chris Jones. They’ve put together a top 5 defense, and it’s the youngest defense in the NFL. Miami looks incredible when they’re clicking, but the Patriots played them very close, and the Broncos quit. They’re incredibly scary and nobody will want to play them if Tua stays healthy. Buffalo is exactly what I thought they would be so far. They’re a veteran team that was a finished product from day 1. Their biggest challenge will be staying healthy and fresh given that they’re the oldest team in the league. The NFC is Philadelphia and SF. Philly has no weakness. They haven’t been blowing anyone out, but they’re 3-0 and similar to Kansas City, they look like a team that has another gear that they’re not planning on using until the games really matter. San Fran plays beautiful football. Purdy looks like a really good QB, but we’ll see if he’s a guy who can go win a game when rather than just be a really good game manager. Unless Cincinnati figures it out, I just don’t see anyone else who is capable of winning it all. That said, it’s a LONG season and teams look vastly different in December than they do in September.
