Time of possession 41 minutes for the Bills and 19 minutes for the Dolphins
First downs 31 for the Bills 15 for the Dolphins
Total yards 497 for the Bills 212 for the Dolphins
I get Miami won the game but the above stats tell me there is no changing of the guard. Especially when you consider the Bills played with a lot of backups.

And the Ravens game. I get the whole you are what your record says you are but they really should be 1-2. I think the Bengals will give them a reality check tomorrow night.
Same. The Dolphins defense was on the field for 40 minutes and 90 plays. Short week on the road. Their defense will be gassed by the 2nd half. Bengals 38 Dolphins 17. Miami falls to #10 in the power rankings by Friday morning.
The 70's sucked. If I remember correctly the Bills almost beat them in the 79 season opener. Lost 9-7 but they missed a FG at the end that would have won it. The rivalry with the Dolphins was never higher than during the Kelly-Marino years and all of those battles for the division and playoff games.
Rivalries. The NFCE has 4 big market teams and all 4 have strong rivalries with each other. Granted the division has been weak lately but when these 4 teams are good then that brings in bigtime ratings which means more $$$$ for the NFL. Why are the Dolphins in the AFCE when they really belong in the AFCS.
This is a good point. The Dolphins defense on a short week have to be exhausted. Their D was on the field for 40 minutes and had to defend 90 plays. Burrow and company should have a field day here. My guess for this game is something like 38-17 Bengals.
Even if he did get out of bounds it would have around a 60 yard FG attempt. We could point to a number of plays where they lost the game but it wasn't on the last play.
So did Baltimore. I give credit to the Dolphins for making the plays they had to make but they should be 1-2 going into week 4. The Ravens stopped playing and the Bills shot themselves in the foot. Miami is 3-0 and they deserve to be despite being lucky. Like Bill Parcells said... " You are what your record says you are".
Health but it is worth noting that the Bills under McDermott are 3-0 at home in the playoffs (Colts, Ravens, Pats) but 0-4 on the road (Jags, Texans, Chiefs x 2)
If there is one area to be critical of Beane its the OL. It's been subpar for a while now. If it wasn't for Allen's ability to avoid the rush they might be considered the worst in the league. At the very least bottom 5. This is more of an offseason discussion but he really should look to rebuild it during the draft. Then there is the fact that both Poyer and Hyde are over 30 so he might have to start looking to get younger in the secondary as well.
