My thoughts from attending the game, in chronological order. Took my dad for his 80th. 1. Tre White got the biggest cheer out of the tunnel. And I thought he had a decent game. Got beat a couple times but so did the rest of the D. 2. Huge hit by Shaq got us all screaming. Nice to see him with such energy. 3. Kincaid block on the Shakir touchdown popped. Dude is rounding out his game. 4. Bernard interception stadium erupted! Obviously the biggest play of the game, also let all the angst the collective group was feeling out. The party was on. 5. Mr. Brightside after Elijah Moores catch and run. I don’t care if it’s cheesy, it’s so fun to scream the lyrics. The party continues! 6. McDermott’s call for a field goal was the right call even if Prater had missed. Mc D’s decision making has been good. Leaning aggressive which is right where he needs to be with this offense. Crowd was positive and happy. So many high fives all around.

A Sign That This Is The Year For Our First SB Win

AI picks the Bills. It’s the best chance we got! -
This. It has been defensive line play. Outside of the ravens and patriots games in Buffalo, they disappear. A defensive line that causes havoc much of the time in the regular season was gone against a banged up bengals o line and pretty much every time we have played the chiefs in the playoffs. Last year the d line needed a big game with the LBs and DBs banged up and they failed. If we get a decent game from the d line in just one of those big games, it is a win.

Watched the first couple episodes and damn, felt sorry for this version of the 49ers and their fans. I thought this version of the Bills has had the worst playoff heartbreaks but it is not as bad this niners team losing multiple superbowls and playoff games. Can you imagine if the Bills made it to two superbowls and lost like that? This board would be even more suicidal. Because they won superbowls in decades past it doesn’t feel as significant as the bills heartbreaks, but since 2020 I think the niners have had it worse. They can’t get past the chiefs either.

Learning from Taron? This can’t be bad, right? "I feel like I can really take away the ball at a high level, and I just want to continue to ... critique my feet and just keep working with Taron on playing like a smaller DB and really just take advantage of every opportunity. I feel like that's a basic answer, but that's the reality of it." - Kaiir Elam

Albany/Clifton Park NY - Where to Watch? (also my 40th bday)
Andysplaylist replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall
McGeary’s in Albany (ok wings, could be packed), PJs bbq in Saratoga (good bbq), or Pam’s pub in Clifton park (bar but usually laid back, have brought my kids here) -
MNF - Bears at Vikes (if anyone cares)

Bills are the Vikings of the AFC, seriously. -
Not good. This is concussion number 3 or 4 for him? Getting into career-threatening Morse territory

Just watched YouTube and you are right! Wow, they look like the same player, makes much more sense that a corner could catch him. So Bernard really didn’t have a great first game, noticeably improved this game

You forgot saving a touchdown against the Jets early that ended up not being important. Should have been

Will the dual role be too much for McD?
Andysplaylist replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think there could be a positive here - when has McD gotten in trouble as a head coach? When he is overthinking in big spots, getting too smart for his own good. 13 seconds shell defense a prime example. Conservative offensive play calling in big spots, which I am sure he has a hand in at the end of big games. If calling defensive plays gets him out of his head and into his gut or even lower regions (going for it on 4th down as much as he can!), this could be a good thing for him and the team in big games. When this team is aggressive and plays with fire and doesn’t overthink, it’s one of the best in the league. -
Remember his first game as a Bill? He burst onto the scene and keeps making plays. If he takes a team friendly deal, pay him. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/09/10/bills-jets-jordan-poyer-game-ball-pff/

Dion Dawkins: A Letter to Bills Mafia, Part II
Andysplaylist replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Came across this and I kept thinking about Dawkin’s letter. He gets how much the bills mean to Buffalo. Bills fans pre-Bills Mafia. Also gotta love Vincent Gallo’s mom in this! Hope she is still alive when the Bills win it. It’s long - 20 minutes, but so worth a watch right now. Go Bills! -
Why the defense got it's mojo back

Jerry Hughes. The one series in the third quarter, the Bills worst quarter by far this year, he made a play on every play of that series, ending with a strip sack. Then he followed that up with a monster fourth with a pick to seal it. We don’t win this game without Jerry Hughes. Finally showed up and I don’t care if it’s the Jets. He plays like that, Bills defense will be getting off the field more.
