  1. well i’m not saying it’s going to go bad for Watson either - We don’t know anything about the allegations against him or the accuser yet (beyond the fact that it apparently involved a massage.) All I am saying is if the Texans were involved in facilitating this lawsuit, they’re way out of line and criminally stupid to boot. This case, unless quickly found to be baseless, will also have the knock-on effect of triggering an investigation by the league under the personal conduct policy, which will jam Watson up even more insofar as football goes.
  2. I’d consider it. Granted I probably like Tonyan more than most and think draft picks are little more than lottery tickets - when in doubt take the proven commodity.
  3. Exactly. Unless some mandate came down from on high to go scorched earth on the guy, that makes no sense. And I don’t think guys like Caserio or Culley would go along with something so heinous.
  4. Another detail in this - account tweeting is a local NBC reporter apparently. No suit officially filed yet.
  5. It would be very dumb and downright evil if the claims against Watson are scurrilous and the Texans had something to do with it. But look who were talking about here. It’s the Texans. But anyways we’re getting wayyy ahead of ourselves speculating on some conspiracy now. Any sort of sexual misconduct claim should be looked at seriously.
  6. If McNair/Easterby coordinated with the attorney or facilitated this in any way he should be kicked out of the league and forced to sell point blank.
  7. Civil claims always are - and this one has the stink of vindictiveness too given the timing.
  8. i am more offended by her win rate against the spread. She’s a supposed “handicapper” for NFLN and her picks are consistently terrible.
  9. If that’s the intent by the team, wouldn’t a plant story like this hurt the trade value they’d get in return for dealing him? Doesn’t make much sense, but this is the Texans were talking about.
  10. options 1 thru 3 are completely crazy so I suppose I’d bet 4 or 5.
  11. Not necessarily. It doesn’t sound like anyone has seen or is aware of what is in the civil complaint yet - given there’s zero details out there except this insane statement by the plaintiff’s lawyer.
  12. There’s also this. A neighbor of Bob and Cal McNair? You don’t say?
  13. just reeks of some politicking show attorney. if a civil suit was really filed and there’s anything to this at all, we’ll find out soon enough I suppose. Throw me in the “doubtful” camp for now.
  14. this is exactly what ignorant, distracted ownership gets you. Shad is too preoccupied with other ventures and puts his moron failson in charge to drive the team into the ground.
  15. Well the Redskins were just flat out lying about their list if you recall. So not exactly the same thing.
  16. you think a season ticket waitlist of around 60,000 people will just evaporate overnight if they don’t bounce back right away?
  17. Turning the roster over has no “guarantee of success” either, so what’s your point?
  18. Seems like a below-replacement level player to me. You can pick from hundreds of guys to while away on the fringe of the roster.
  19. I don’t know, is juju any sort of the same type of receiver as JB? No? Come on man.
  20. Right so just turn over the roster every year until we luck up and beat them right? Good god man.
  21. So one second you say free agents of consequence ALWAYS go to good teams. Next second you say free agents DO go to bad teams but only if they overpay. sounds like you’re a little confused and getting worked up.
  22. So the investigation was dropped, not the “charges.” Fix your title. edit: good stuff 👍
  23. I trust nothing coming out of that clownshow in Houston.
