I watched the rewind of the Jets game last night and focused on Hawes. He is nasty and persistent all the way through his blocks. He is a problem for other teams to match up with.

I remember back in high school our baseball team was going to get t shirts. A student who was very good at art asked if he could design the shirt. He made this crazy graphic muscular robot looking baseball player swinging a bat As young teens, we thought it was awesome. Our coach who was in his late 30s agreed it was incredible artwork, but he didn't really think it represented what we wanted to show on a t-shirt for a baseball team. This post link reminded me of that story. It's incredible looking but at the end of the day the entertainment is the team on the field, not the stadium.

That storm predicated the wife and I to ask ourselves a question after it destroyed our neighborhood, no power for 8 days. We can live anywhere we want in the US. We don't have kids, our jobs were transferrable. What the hell are we doing in Buffalo NY. A couple of months later we moved to beautiful San Diego, now Idaho. Way milder in the valley west of Boise. I said I wouldn't move back to Buffalo out of spite. As I get older, never say never, but I really like it out West.
