  1. I guess we have differing opinions on McKenzie, as a WR, I’d rather he was inactive. Gadget guy, sure, anything more than that, no thanks.
  2. I think you can sign him to a cash heavy (signing bonus) deal for this year with voidable years on a contract, get him here where he gets paid and the cap hit is minimal for this year, worth it to me. 5M signing bonus, 3 year at vet Min, void at completion of the season. He gets paid well for the remainder of the year, gets to be a FA again after his prove it time.
  3. It makes me wonder if they aren’t going to use him as a Slot WR/McKenzie role more than RB. He hasn’t been a big weapon as a runner as much as he has as a receiver for most of his career. With McKenzie looking like garbage, maybe that’s more his role.
  4. The whole “best roster in the NFL” BS will end quickly without Allen at QB. The reality is a piss poor OL, weak at best WR core beyond Diggs, under performing/under talented TE/RB group. All of this is easy to cover with Superman at QB, put an average QB back there and it will be exposed. Instead, people will inevitably blame Keenum for not being Josh. The D is crushed with injuries, I’ll give them a pass, but they are going to have to carry the team if Allen isn’t out there.
  5. Verrett can’t catch a break, it’s really too bad, he’s a starter when healthy, he’s flashed as a high end player at times.
  6. If I was that guy, I’d go back and find all the people that wouldn’t hear it when I said, we have one WR who’s done anything in the NFL and they all told me Davis was amazing, would have 1k+ this year, yadda yadda yadda. They relied on Davis to step up, he hasn’t, he continues to drop big passes and doesn’t deserve the unquestioned #2 role. The rest of the WRs are guys we got off the waiver wire or a 5th round rookie, why is anybody surprised?
  7. Completely agree, he doesn’t have the physical tools to be mor than a 5th round pick, I’ll never understand that one.
  8. But but but he’s smart and takes good angles to make up for his lack of everything.
  9. HACKet is only lasting longer because they JUST signed him, if this was his 3rd year, he’d be gone too. Dorsey may still get looks this off-season, we’ll see what the rest of the year looks like.
  10. Tyrod fooled a lot of fans into thinking he was good bc they had never watched a real QB. Same thing here, play next to Star and you look like one for simply not sucking. Oliver is an average rotational player.
  11. That pick was SO bad. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
  12. I would not have picked up his 5th year option personally, he’s a good player, nothing special at all. I’d be happy to have him back at a reasonable price point, but Nobody missed him when he was gone and won’t miss him if he’s playing somewhere else. He had the BENEFIT of playing next to Star, who was so large people had to double him to move him and made exactly zero visible difference, it made the 6 plays a year Oliver managed to get look like he was more than he is.
  13. Show me one reason to believe Oliver is a top 10 DT, he’s not the clear cut best DT on his own team FFS. My bad, Glenn was better than Dawkins and we still don’t have a top 10 LT. Milano has an argument to be in the top 10 at his position, but he’s out plenty so there’s no way you can call him irreplaceable, he has to be replaced in season all the time.
  14. Replacing an All Pro is not easy, but the rest of those rankings are in you head, Oliver is not even CLOSE to top 10 at DT, Milano though good, is only thought of that highly in Buffalo, and Glenn isn’t a top 10 LT either.
  15. Miller is the only one on your list that’s remotely close to irreplaceable. Oliver wasn’t missed when he was out, Milano is a good player, but not HOF. Hyde is being replaced right now, Dawkins is a decent start, not more and white hasn’t been on the field in a year and there has been virtually no drop off. This is not a team full of great players like the delusional Bills fans think. It’s a bunch of names you know, that’s it. Even Diggs is questionable when you look at Jefferson out producing him in the same system. Allen is the only guy on this team that can’t be replaced, he’s one of the very best in the game. The rest of the team is replaceable and all will be replaced in due time.
  16. This team is built entirely on Josh Allen’s shoulders. It’s Allen and Diggs on the O, there’s not one other special player out there. I said it before the season, everybody WANTS Davis to be special, he never has been, McKenzie, same thing. We signed back less talent than we let walk away on O. If Allen falters, this team is dead. The part that sucks is he’s been so bad the last 6 quarters it feels like we have lost 2 games in a row. I know you can’t say it around Bills loyalist, but the lie about this being the most talented roster in football is being exposed. I’ll give the D a pass, even decimated but injuries they are holding teams to low point totals (though it’s ugly), but the O? You got what you should have thought you had, Allen, Diggs and a bunch of guys nobody else would pay either. McKenzie has been a real disappointment after all the camp buzz, Crowder is doing what Crowder does which has always been his issue, Davis has not stepped up, Knox has been invisible and there’s still no run game. It’s all on Allen, pray he figures it out again.
  17. I don’t really want to see it pushed back, you have to commit to winning and look at the future as it stands. If you go back, there’s going to be more teams that throw in the towel making for even more meaningless games late in the year.
  18. I do agree, Josh is one of those few greats that elevate the guys around him to heights they can’t reach without him. He’s like Brady and unfortunately Maholmes in that manner. The biggest problem for Maholmes will be Allen and vice versa. In terms of legitimate SB contenders, I think we see a big difference in this year vs last year on the D because of Miller and that’s the part I think Bills fans may be missing. To replace a guy like that is like replacing Allen on the other side. You don’t get HOF impact players every day, he was a major get for us and let’s face it, with his age, this might be his last year of big production, we simply don’t know. Hughes was a very good player and Miller brought this D to new heights. So in those terms, I think this is a window we need to cash in on. We could have a Colt, Packers, Saints type of deal where you have the QB and a good D, but you are not a dominant force. Those teams never were out of their window while they had the QB, but they didn’t get much either.
  19. I think it’s pretty clear we are in a window of great opportunity, you have a bunch of guys that are in or close to in their prime and you have some contracts that may be a problem in a few years. It takes a LOT luck to keep it wide open. This window is wide open, it’s going to take a lot of work and shuffling to keep it looking this good for an extended period of time. You have to replace Miller, a HOF talent and big impact player, Diggs will slow down etc, so the window can stay open, but it’s not a given you don’t turn into the Packers.
  20. Is he though? I think he’s a Frank Clark type, that’s to say, really good (when healthy), but not a guy I want to spend 20M a year on. Let somebody else do that, I’ll take the 1st round pick and the cap space to make a move (or to pay Russ Wilson 🤡)
  21. I’d love to see the line on Bills V Eagles, it would be a cool case study to see if that many heads exploding at once in Philly could be heard in Buffalo.
