The Cowboys have Trey Lance on his rookie deal. I wouldn't be shocked if they move on from Dak tbh.

Oh please, that like saying the Bills have another Allen at back-up, they are good to let Josh go.

Dawkins is somewhat surprising but nice to see. Cook deserved this. Amazing how many doubters he had right from the start.

I think Taron Johnson should make it every year.

Taron Johnson is 1 uncalled PI from costing the Bills 3 games on the same route this year, so I’ll say no to him this year.

Ed O had a breakout year, but even so, it’s not like he jumped off the screen at people, nor got a lot of attention from the broadcasters so it’s no surprise he didn’t get the vote.

Allen.. well, by the standards he set, he didn’t have a great year.  He scored a lot, but you can’t ignore the fact the Bills are in a do or die situation because of him being flat out awful against teams he’s expected to beat.  He hasn’t even been great in the do or die games.   I’m not shocked he didn’t get the nod.  Lamar is the leader of the best team in the AFC and he’s spectacular on highlights, votes are going to go there.  People love Tua for some reason.  Mahomes has actually played pretty well up until the last 3 weeks, I don’t know what you can do when your receivers can’t catch a cold.

At the end of it all, it’s a popularity contest.

  3. Going to be another year where the Chiefs pick ahead of us, they seem to have a knack for taking the guys we (the board) want and they seem to generally work out for them unfortunately.  With 31 picks ahead of us in the first round, it’s tough to say who will be left, so have to worry about it when we get there.

    They are definitely banged up.

Chubb was coaching malpractice. Phillips probably too.

I will say that they're a team that is predicated on speed, agility, etc especially on offense. Those body types are more prone to injury and getting banged up by the end of the season.

It's still going to be a very tough game for the Bills. Josh has to be at the top of his game

The problem with a finesse team is getting smacked around a lot.  They are predicated on speed, timing and precision, not brute size, strength and imposing their will.   They have the same issue the Bills had when they couldn’t run the ball, everyone has to be perfect for it to work.  Credit them for making that happen a lot this year, but very similar to the Bills of the past few years, when a team bullies them, they fold.  It’s a cute system for the regular season, when things tighten up and the big boys come to play, it’s a different world.

There are only a couple teams built to win in the post season this year.  1) Ravens, if Lamar stays hot, they are the champs, end of story.  2) Eagles, they can run you over, and take the top off.  3) 49ers, assuming Purdy doesn’t have another 4 TO day, they are very efficient and have a very strong D to compliment the explosive O.  4) Bills/Browns both teams are not at full strength because of big injuries, but both have had time to fill those holes pretty well.  I call them even because Flacco and Allen are turn over prone, but both can carry you.  Browns are more physically imposing in both sides, Bills more explosive on O and will capitalize on the slightest mistake on D.  6) Rams have all the components but lack experience at key positions.. could be a real dark horse.  7) KC, good D and Mahomes makes them a threat anytime.

    Everyone else is a pretender.

Tua will be fine most likely.

However, the two Dolphins defense injuries could be bad but it could help us out

Back in the day, the very first series, one of the back up DTs would have been sent in to hit him hard and land on him, maybe even throw fists and try to get somebody else ejected when they came after him.   In todays league, the Bills won’t even pressure him for fear of hurting him.

The Saudis can buy any non NFL football league they want or start a brand new one and they can pay mega bucks for star players to play in their new league. And it will fail. Miserably. As has every other such experiment to challenge the NFL stranglehold on popularity.

The NFL is king and PGA, LIV, or any other pro golf offering isn’t even a blip on the competition radar so I don’t think that’s the best example to illustrate whatever Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning influence in pro sports may be.

The only reason the NFL is king is the money behind it, the PIF makes the entirety of the NFL look like nothing.  If they want to, they can buy the talent and the infrastructure to compete.   The NFL has lost touch with its fans, it wouldn’t be as hard as they want to believe to at very least force a merger like the old NFL AFL scenario.  They could spin it as the opportunity to grow the game globally and the only ones that would lose would be the fans, yet again.

I like how that chucklehead is claiming NYS top bracket is 50%.

now his post has disappeared lol

Wellllll kinda, if you include the federal rate with it.   He’s getting hit at 10.3 or 10.9% from NYS, depending on the structure of everything.  It sucks, to be in the AFC East bc even the road games hit you with some of the highest tax rates around.  If I were negotiating a deal with Buffalo, NJJ, NE, I’d be asking for my game in Miami to be the check where my bonuses get added as a game check 😂

I cannot imagine any NFL player ever having any desire to live in an Islamic state.

That's just the players. Their wives would revolt.

Very difficult to get people with much more muted lifestyles, ie State Dept and military families to go there.

I take it you have ZERO clue what the Saudis are doing to the PGA by launching their own competing league right here in the States.   They could buy the XFL or CFL or both, with their pocket change and start offering fully guaranteed money to mega stars. It’s extremely doable and as much as the NFL continues to dilute their product/piss off their core fans, I won’t be shocked when they do it.

I’d actually like to see a combo of the passing game clicking to get a big lead and then run it down there throats the remainder of the game.

It would be good to see Diggs having a bigger impact as well and getting Kincaid engaged. And please no more lateral screens to Diggs!

I’m looking for some 12/13 personnel this week, protect Josh, work the middle, ball control nice 28-0 victory.

  10. Damar is a nice story, but he was and still is a fringe NFL player at best.   Were the roster being evaluated/selected purely on ability to contribute, he’s probably out of the NFL.

Tua would be my choice, the guy was knocked out several times last year and it looked like his career could be over and he’s back as one of the best in the game without injury this year.  Flacco is another obvious choice.

Yeah, I'd say he'll be on a pitch count, maybe coming in on 1st/2nd down for run defense. Or 3rd and long to anchor the middle. But it will be great to see he and Joseph both stuffed in the middle.

Legs should be in good shape, but with a pec injury, he probably lost some upper body mass.

It’s a legs position anyway.  If he has full range of motion with the arms he is plenty strong even with time off to handle his spot.  It could actually be a major help for the team going into the playoffs.  To have Linval and him available to take on the Ravens in the AFC Championship will be big 😉

The NFL has too many teams.  LA, and California generally, have too many NFL teams.

The Chargers seem like the perfect relocation team.

Yes, the NFL has too many teams, the talent pool is too diluted.  They have screwed up the quality of the product, the problem is, nobody cares enough to stop watching.

Once the Saudis get done destroying the balance of the golf world, they should take a swing at the NFL.   If they could pull off what they did to the PGA and pull a handful of top QBs to an alternate league, the NFL could crumble the way it deserves to.   Imagine for a second if they pulled Mahomes and Allen to an alternate league and then landed some of the top college guys, who wouldn’t have to enter the NFL draft and can get paid more.  It could disrupt the NFL faster than it did golf.   All it would take is a well timed strike, catch a year when a couple of big QBs are hitting FA and there’s a solid young crop in college.   Think about last year, they could have poached Lamar Jackson, CJ Stroud, possibly Rodgers, Brady, and had Herbert and Burrow in their sites, pulled in guys like Flacco etc as other guys.  The league would blow up quick.
