I think Thrash has a chance to be a nice #3/4 to start, and grow into a potential #2 type. He did very good at the Senior Bowl, has some traits that Beane likes. Think he would complement our WR room well

Jamari Thrash is a nice inside/outside versatile WR. Solid YAC guy and enough speed to challenge vertically. I like him better than Rice

Position focus: Edge, RB, WR, OL, CB, possibly P In Rd 4, I think its very possible we move up into the top 10 range. Some team like Min, who could use an extra pick. Buf trades: 128, 144 Min trades: 108 Leaves us with 1 4th, 3 5ths, 1 6th, 1 7th. 6 picks, matching 6 positions up above (possibly we only need 5). I think top of Rd 4 could literally be any of those positions (except P). I could argue for WR (def some talent has slid), Edge (Mo Kamara would be a nice get), etc. But I think the Bills really like Devonshire from Pitt, that's been linked publicly and my Steeler source confirmed that. Steelers are also heavily interested in him. He's a Rd5 talent IMO. He could certainly be our new punt returner immediately. Pitt has very good secondary coaching, they come into the NFL with a solid foundation. I think highest valued at each of those positions listed makes most sense per round. And I can't see us keeping all 4 5ths. Rd 4 is ripe for a potential trade up, if another team desires additional picks.

You need to seriously chill out bro. All these trades, talk of lack of playmakers, etc. Some of the guys you mentioned to trade for: Higgins, Deebo as example. These were both day 2 picks. You could go back and look at alot of past drafts and find Day 2 WRs having a big impact on their team. Whose to say Coleman doesn't have a 800 yard+ season, 9-10 TDs? Just because he's not who "you" wanted, but Beane and professionals spend countless hours deliberating. Kincaid especially, but also Shakir are being counted on to take another step. Samuel brings versatility, and likely 800+ yards. We also have Knox and Cook as complementary receiving options. Likely drafting another WR tomorrow. If you paid any attention to Beanes recent press conferences (since Diggs trade), he has stated multiple times that we aren't necessarily finding a WR1/alpha type. We're going with a GB/Steeler type model, multiple guys who can contribute and all have differing skill sets. Maybe it works and we're a top offense still, maybe the plan blows up on them. But any offense led by Josh Allen is going to be very successful, especially if Brady can improve in certain areas. We're going to be counting on all aspects of offense, more ground game and spreading targets. We need a complete team to compete in playoffs, not just offense only. We need to get more stops on defense/impact plays. We ran out of guys on defense LY, and aging vets. It's time we re-stock at multiple spots, and I'd expect our next WR is WR4/5. Even if you disagree, our top 4 receiving threats are now set between Kincaid/Coleman/Samuel/Shakir Bed time young one.

Of course man, always appreciate a good conversation. Thx for sharing what you heard. We will never quite know, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Beane had them basically equal/or very similar ranking. My source (albeit with Steelers), told me Coleman to Bills about an hour or so prior to draft on Thurs night. I think both could be true, Legette and Coleman equally graded and knowing they'd get 1 of them was enough for Beane to move back. I'd just be genuinely shocked if Beane didn't know exactly who Dan was targeting and all the publicly available info connecting Legette to Car. I'd been happy with either player, Coleman was highest on my list during the Fall (with Worthy). I'm not shocked though that Beane decided to go with a big bodied/physical WR, something Josh hasn't had.

No way this is true. Beane takes Legette at 32 if he wanted him badly. On top of that, by his own words last night he alluded to asking teams who they're taking when they're swapping within a pick or two. Plus Dan Morgan is a close friend, they likely knew exactly what Car was planning. Then to add on, there's been a TON of Legette to Car at 33 talk. Legette himself said Car would take him at 33, if still there. I'm glad your contact was accurate on the other info, but Beane isn't letting his target go to move back 1 pick

You should go look up KBs first 2 years in the NFL. Then gets hurt and lazy. Coleman has way better YAC ability, coupled with a work ethic that was non existent for KB. These are lazy comparisons. Play speed and forty time are much different things. IMO, Coleman was very high on the list of WRs playing through contact. That's just as important, bc some blazing 4.3 guy that can't get off a jam or gets their route disrupted downfield doesn't add much

They had Coleman running go routes and outmuscling/jumping on alot of deep passes. He had an insane catch rate, on passes deemed catch-able, and has some of the strongest hands in draft. KB is a horrible comparison, that ppl make. KB was a very good receiver his first 2 years, then got lazy. Keon is the opposite of lazy, and has the attitude Beane/Coach likes. His forty was bad, but his gauntlet and other explosion drills were very good. I could see using him on all 3 levels of the passing game and is a solid blocker and major redzone threat

Unfortunately since they executed the 5th year option, they are not allowed to convert his salary to bonus. Although, it is technically possible the 49ers extend him and put low cap hit on 2024, but they'd be eating a lot of $$$s if he was immediately traded. So Greg is correct that it's possible, but with some extreme/unlikely caveats

100% agree and getting the 49ers to convert Deebos $20m base salary ( or most of it) to bonus (then take on as dead cap in a trade), is likely costing more than a 2nd round pick. Somehow shout this from the rooftops, or hope a reporter asks Beane this question. @Warriorspikes51 might lose it tho

Section 2 is plain and simple, and you can read other parts of the document for additional clarification on salary cap. We have to be under the cap during the league year, which started March 13th EDIT: as @Warriorspikes51 would like it, we'd trade for Deebo then have to immediately release him because we would then be over the cap. Sounds like a great plan to give up a free 2nd rounder right?

I've asked you this before (for other trades you've brought up), but when you're not dreaming/fantasizing about trades and back to reality.... How do we fit Deebos cap hit under our current situation? Unless 49ers convert almost all of his $20m salary to bonus (hence they eat more dead cap), it's just not possible as I see.it. On top of that, if 49ers ate more dead cap, it will likely take more than pick 33 to get him. I'll let you explain now.

There's been way too many "trade proposals", be it JJ, Aiyuk, Higgins...now Deebo. Fans need to remember that we need to fit said player under our current cap, BEFORE we renegotiate a new deal. So even if the "price is right", it's technically not possible unless Beane somehow generates the needed cap. And FYI, Deebos 2024 cap hit is HUGE.

Lots of very good WRs left.... If someone told us 2 weeks ago that we'd move back and get a 3rd, high 5th and still be able to draft AD or others...I think many would be happy. This immediate reaction is kinda crazy when nobody knows how these guys will play out in the NFL...at least we have better draft picks to hit on tomorrow
