  1. Well I disagree in a way. Who are we to know that they didn’t want Kincaid all along? You are assuming that they wanted a WR. They were chasing 12 personnel for a few years and finally got their guy in Kincaid. That’s my take anyways.
  2. That would be awesome but I can’t see them paying that since we don’t have any cap.
  3. Disagree completely. Yeah…let’s wait until the end of the second when the run at the top of 2 wipes them all out. Great idea. Sorry…there should be a few that are worthy of our pick in 1. There will be teams that go defense or another offensive position in front of us that pushes someone down the board.
  4. I want a WR that catches the ball with his hands and doesn’t let it come to his body all the time. Those guys include Coleman, Egbuka, Legette, Polk, and Brian Thomas. The other top guys like to use their bodies too much imo.
  5. Ok…if the sign wrs and ignore defensive line…I will be upset. That will leave that as a “need” in the draft. Enough with dumpster diving at WR and hoping something sticks. Time to start burning some top picks on that position.
  6. When they went and got Harty and Sherfield last year I hated it because I felt that took WR off the board early. I was right. However, we still got a pass catcher in Kincaid so it wasn’t so bad. However…if we get a few FA receivers early in FA this year, I’ll get a little concerned again. I do think by now Beane has to see that bargain shopping has gotten us to this point.
  7. I’m all about a DT wedged in between 2 WR picks. I just can’t fathom a DB before round 4 with how well McD can coach them up. Tre was the only highly drafted db in the McD era that has had any sort of contribution.
  8. It’s “too early”, but you took the time to respond with a long post. Haha No thanks
  9. I’m ok with DT in 2. I love a game wrecking DT. What would irritate me is a db early. McD is elite at getting the most out of mid round DBs. That’s what they told us. We don’t know for sure. They also told us Elam was the last player they had with a first round grade. He didn’t even fit their scheme. It was an obvious reach at a position of need.
  10. WR - round 1 WR - round 2 S - round 5 S - round 6 mcd is a db whisperer that turns safeties and corners into stars. Just need to find the ones with the right traits.
  11. Yep…posts like those are so unnecessary. As if we can’t talk about off-season needs before the season is over. So lame. It’s clear by now what we need and it’s well within our right to discuss it.
  12. Other than using a first on Diggs, the highest pick that Beane has turned in a card at WR was fourth round. It’s comical how much they seemed to neglect getting Allen top WR talent.
  13. They set a precedent in 21 with Rousseau and Basham. They went into that offseason with the mindset they needed to “sack Mahomes”. They literally said it. I can’t imagine them not viewing receiver as the biggest need heading into this off-season.
  14. I’m really hoping Beane takes a WR in the first round this year and would then like to see another taken in round 2 if they are rated high on our board. We did this with Rousseau and Basham when we needed someone to get after Mahomes. Why can’t we do it again for our franchise qb? Go hard at the position and give yourself the best shot possible at finding another top receiver. These guys could end up being WR1 and WR2 after Diggs leaves. I love the idea of rookie contracts, with one having the fifth year option. This is a passing league and if we hit on one, that gives Allen Kincaid and the new guy for at least 4 years on rookie deals. If we hit on both, then all the better.
  15. You’re right. There will be. Hopefully we take one even after we use our first rounder on a receiver.
  16. Not really my point but I get what you’re saying. Many level headed folks (including Joe Marino) were saying just make him the OC going into next year and move on. They were happy to see the offensive improvements in the run game and Allen looked really good against the eagles. The run game continues to look decent, but the qb and receivers are totally off. Diggs is a non factor. This team goes as Josh Allen goes…I think we can all agree with that. It just hasn’t been effective for a month now.
  17. But here’s the argument…Allen was having a really good statistical year with Dorsey and Diggs was on fire. Allen may have had some turnovers, but his completion % was tops in the league. Now it looks like he is back to rookie year Josh. The common denominator seems to be the ocs.
  18. After the eagles game, many (including myself) were satisfied enough to declare Brady the OC next year if McD stays. I think after what we saw under Dorsey, any semblance of an nfl offense was a welcome sight so we may have jumped the gun in what Brady was capable of. Now? Well…this offense is a mess. Allen and the receivers are way off…Diggs is a non factor since Brady took over…we are running Murray up the guy on third and 1 instead of letting our hulking qb dive over the top to move the chains, etc. Could Joe Brady be coaching for his job today this week? I’m not saying he won’t be the guy next year either way, but the job might come open if we lose and miss the playoffs. We have way too much in a franchise qb to be wasting him with ineffective coaching. I’d rather open up the HC position in favor of an offensive mind, but we all know that’s not likely to happen. What say you?
  19. That’s normal for a younger player. How are those numbers for a guy vons age who has had an acl before?
  20. Better the past three weeks? Really? This past game was arguably his worst since his return.
  21. Who cares? Our starting corners are Benford and Douglas. Does he have talent or does he have elite traits? Two different things. I will always maintain Beane panicked when McDuffie was picked and took Elam thinking McD could coach him up in their system. However, sometimes the differences in systems are too much to overcome, no matter how many traits they possess.
  22. Good grief man…why are you taking this so personally?
  23. Awesome…just in time for the team to get false ideas about him being a number 2 and bail on drafting a wr in the first round this year!
