  1. I love a Lee Smith guy too that can at least catch 5-8 balls a year. But sometimes everyone knows you are running it and you just need to do it effectively ang get your first down.
  2. That's really odd since they already have two decent ones. Way to much to give up.
  3. They are not carrying four TEs next year unless they get rid of the FB. They already brought back Morris as TE #3. Totally agree about Punter. I have been saying punter in the fifth round since November. Also agree on DB. Why they brought back Cam Lewis I have no idea. They already signed there special teams LB Morrow. I hate late round OTs but a guy to play the big TE role that Edwards played last year might not be unreasonable.
  4. No issue moving on from Davis. His drops killed us. There has never been any suggestion by anyone Diggs was a problem in the locker room. The only two people who may have had an issue with Diggs were McD (I am very concerned) and Allen(getting called out for playing like shot against Bengals).
  5. There aren't enough roster spots up for grabs. That said a RB2 and a DB would be nice depth pieces.
  6. He knows they blew their best chance a few years back. It's just so sad.
  7. You know he is not in charge correct? This is all McD again. McD and/or Allen didn't want Diggs on the team and he has to look like the fool that traded him.
  8. If he lasts they will take this Booker guy. 6'5" and long arms. Total McD type. Too light to be a regular edge player but maybe a situational pass rusher.
  9. This is just so sad to watch all these WR's go and see Beane sitting on his ass with all these 5th round picks
  10. Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm going to guess they could have had Franklin yesterday and still got the DUKE DT in this round
  11. Good breakdown. Kincaid is a nice piece but so far he looks closer to a guy like Gesicki than he does to Kecle. He can't block anyone. Maybe his ceiling is Kittle who can block a little. I have a fondness for Knox and how physical he plays but he is dead to me until he stops dropping the dam ball. A bit of recent bias as Beane did not use a first or second round pick on offense for several drafts in a row while taking DL three times (Oliver, Rousseau and Epenesa). Then used back to back 3rd round picks on RBs that are no longer on the tram. Of course he got Diggs which was masterful. However after that he allowed them to go into one season with just two rookie TEs. He continued to use mid to late round guys to address RT. To be fair it looked like Davis might have been a gem. But after that 4 TD game he forgot how to catch the dam ball. They tried to make McKenzie a starter but obviously misjudged his talent. And let's not even start to discuss the debacle that has been the OG story under Beane. It has taken him 5 years to finally have a competent set of guards while cutting a probowl talent. Now all we are doing is trying to recreate what hasn't worked so far by drafting safety and rotational DT. By cutting Diggs and not adequately addressing WR we are a worse team now than the one that barely won the divison and lost in the playoffs. Now Beane has been good getting late in FA guys like Floyd last year. I think he adds a veteran WR after 6/1 either in free agency or trade. Maybe by training camp one of these WRs will be available for a 2025 draft pick.
  12. For me it is the fact two defenders were taken and one is already only going to be a backup. We couldn't find a backup DT later and taken another WR? Where is the sense of urgency to get Allen help? Lastly this last 48 hours just reinforces the fact McDermott makes all the final decisions in this organization. And until he is gone we are wasting Allen and destined to fail.
  13. RB, P, OG, CB, LB and probably at least two trades
  14. Spare us that nonsense. It has always been McDermott's defense. His defense collapsed last year against Denver, Eagles twice, and again against KC. If you are going to defend McDermott then don't lay the blame elsewhere.
  15. So you are guaranteeing Coleman is a starter? None of us know if he is going to be any good. But all of us know you nearly double your odds if you take another WR. How can you defend what hasn't worked? They keep drafting defense early and it hasn't worked.
  16. Shakir being very good is a stretch...he had a couple of nice games last year. He looks like a guy that can be very good but he has a lot to prove
  17. I'm saying drafting two WRs doubles the chance one of them is good. There are not 5 NFL quality WRs on the roster right now. It's a joke.
  18. Sure ok, I don't disagree with anything you said. Won't make any difference in January on 3rd and goal from the 8 yard line. I actually don't think Beane is this tragically stupid. I think he has a deal for a WR in place after June 1st.
  19. The entire board knows a DT can't play WR. The entire board knows a heavy DT rotation has not worked in the playoffs to stop anyone. Enjoy owning the fifth round!!!!
  20. Yeah! Barely win the division! Lose at home to Joe Burrow this time or maybe the kid in Houston....
  21. We've had defense for years and it has gotten them nowhere. It's just so sad to see McDermott waste best QB in franchise history
  22. A backup DT is never going to lead anything. Allen, Milano, and Dawkins is all you need for leaders. They need playmakers on offense. This draft really sucks.
  23. Beane has royally screwed us. Worst WR group since 2018.
  24. We don't need team leaders. We need guys that score TDs
